dr LASER is my go to for laser, especially the SKR they offer which saved my face from pigmentation issues (melasma), helped clear my back acne and even led to the removal of the sun spots on my chest. Update: I have to update because this is not the spot to go, save your time and money. I was excited, as you can see from my og post. I had really hoped the best. I had a friend that did treatment somewhere else but she said I would see some benefit after the first treatment because of the type of issue I have the causes the hair. (PCOS, friend has same issue) When I did the treatment I smelled the hair burning off and that was mainly why I was excited to see a difference. I did a deposit in hopes of doing more treatment but during that I was told that I needed to wait 4 weeks for next treatment. I said no problem, booked and went on my way. With PCOS, the hair grows like a mans which means I can see the spots regrowth in a few days. Which is exactly what happened. I had to go back to old route of daily shave, I then asked my friend and we looked over my face. She said everything was dark still and she would have seen at least some help to lessen the hair. I was so upset and the thought of paying for services I see no benefits from made me anxious. I then spoke with the front desk girl I saw the first time. I explained to her the issue and she stated that a refund can happen I just had to email. So I did, now its been a few days and they refuse to refund my money. The worst part, in the first emails I was told they would do a refund and I have now been told that its not an option. So much back and forth, makes me feel better I am not trusting them with my face. I have asked my card to refund me and deal with them, save yourself and dont go here. read more

I had Botox injected into my forehead by an inexperienced nurse at Dr. Laser. I developed a left 3rd nerve paralysis a few days later. The photo was taken 7 days after the injections. The nurse injected too low into the left frontalis muscle. I am left with a droopy eyelid and impaired vision. Be careful at this place. I called to report the issue and whoever answered the phone told me there's nothing to be done about it. Actually I got some eye drops prescribed which help a little but dilate my left pupil so my pupils are unequal. Basically I was told by whoever answered the phone that it will wear off. She was talking WAY too much holding the laser way too close to my skin & when I told her it's hot I know she accidentally turned it up because my left leg was done in the latter part of the session and that's the one most affected. I started doing Laser treatments at "Laser Away" and it just wasn't giving me the results I wanted. I switched over to DR LASER just to give it a try and do a touch up on my under arms and bikini area and it was love at first sight! Bough a signature 60-minute facial from Groupon to give this place a try. I thought it would be a great way to scope out a new place/esthetician without commitment. I was not impressed ... sorry. The place itself is clean but nothing special. I walked into the facial room and heard a dripping sound. Esthetician advised it was nothing to worry about, just AC unit leaking. What ... Pretty sure it is safe and not hazardous but still. Shows lack of care. Paid for 60 minutes but facial lasted at most 45 minutes. Felt like many areas were left untouched. Did not walk away with a glow. Not the best facial I've had and really does not make me want to return. There wasn't much upsell as some Yelpers suggest, at least in my experience. There was a hiccup with appointment time but luckily someone cancelled and I was able to take their spot. Miscommunications happen so I was not too upset. Horrible business with zero ethics. The girl at the front desk ran a hard inquiry on my credit to sell me one of their packages she failed to mention that she had asked for my ssn to apply for a line of credit with Care Credit. As soon as I gave her my ssn I asked what it was for and she said it was to "see if I could pay" for the special deals/packages she was offering me, packages that she said she didn't have on paper bc "it's too competitive" and therefore they are only offered face to face and verbally. The "special package prices" were actually full prices that she was dividing by 18 months which is the interest free period on care credit. It was deceiving, unethical and I will be disputing this with the lenders and reporting to the BBB. I accept that I shouldn't have given her my ssn so quick but i left the place without consenting to anything or authorizing a line of credit at this business. read more

Location: Sherman Oaks Overview: I am disappointed in the service I received visiting Dr Laser. I was 5 mins late due to parking issues. I asked the lady at the front desk if they can still see me the same day or I should make another appointment. They ensured me that it was fine, so I assumed they will start the clock when I walked in to the room. Before starting the session, I used the bathroom it didn't take me more than 2 mins. Adding all the time that I lost it was around 7-9 mins. To my luck the bathroom was flooded. I told the technician assigned to me and tell me why she left the room to take care of the problem herself. She didnt get back to the room 15 mins after. When I saw the clock it was 25 mins passed the hour. She kinda apologized and began the session. Again I assumed the clock would start when she walked in the room. Unfortunately. She only work on my face for 20 mins, rushed the whole time & stopped the session 15 before it was going to end. She said she needed to get ready for the next appointment. I was so disappointed. This place is AMAZING. I have been coming for facials, hair removal, and skin rejuvenation. Now, I'm hooked. First off, when you come in, Brittany will usually be there to greet you with a big smile. She is so friendly, helpful, energetic, and you know she cares about each clients' specific wants and needs. She'll make sure you are taken care of ASAP and taken care of WELL. I usually have Anna for facials. I felt like a member of her family right away. She makes you feel so comfortable, checks with you before she does anything (extractions), gives great little massages throughout the treatment, and is honest with you and your skincare. I've had Amy for hair removal. This in itself is an uncomfortable experience, especially if you're going Brazilian like me!
