It seems one of the newer technicians came to my apartment to open my screen and front door, both are the same lock. The screen was open in five minutes. The door however, he had trouble with for about 45 minutes. I'm not sure what he was doing, but he then approached me and said " it looks like the only way to avoid damage to the door is to break the lock" and I said that was fine. He then broke the lock and had it open right away, but I immediately noticed the wood was split and when he offered to replace the lock for $40 I said hell no and pointed out the damage. I call back a few days later to explain the situation and the answer I got was "why did you take so long to call back? I don't believe it was me who did the damage it must have already been like that." Even his boss kept talking over me and told me if he wasn't "a nasty guy and he did his job" then he doesn't see the problem. He also said "we charge about $60 less than other places so he gave you a deal as well" and I said I would have gladly paid someone who knew what they were doing in order to not have to pay for a damaged door. Never have I encountered such an inexperienced, unsympathetic locksmith. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. read more

Was visiting family for Thanksgiving. Their oven wasn't working so a neighbor kindly gave us access to her house while she was out of town so we could cook there instead. And... I locked the neighbor's house key in the house and we couldn't get in. With food cooking in the oven. Yikes! Found Dr. Lock and he was there in 15 minutes. So here I am with a broken door lock on my apartment, as my tenant was trying to replace the knob and deadbolt. We bought the replacement door handle and deadbolt assembly. However, we could not figure out how to remove the existing broken door handle. In comes Dr. Lock to save the day! He did in fact get the old set out and the new set installed within about five minutes. I'm pleased with his work. My opinion is that he should have his own direct business, and if you want a skilled locksmith for any need, call him directly. He is talented and has a great understanding of all things related to locks. He even showed me how to rekey my door when the tenant moves out, which is an extremely useful bit of knowledge. Dr. Lock came to the rescue from another lock company we were dealing with. We had a pedestrian gate that broke on a condo complex and all of the tenants were complaining about the broken handle allowing anybody to get in. He showed up on time, very courteous, and determined what needed to be fixed. He had everything with him and when he realized he needed on more thing, he went and got it and fixed the gate in a timely fashion. I highly do not recommend anyone attempting to get a new key or have them reprogram their keys. Their customer service is over text and they show little to no respect about your needs. The guy who helped me took 2 hours because his system was slow and also forgot to unlock my car trunk from the front seat. They don't allow refunds no matter what reason and have little experience dealing with car locks and customer service. Incredibly ridiculous how they handle their business. This is the second time I've used this company, this time to install a single sided deadbolt and to rekey one of my door locks. This time I worked with Yuval. Came quick (within 20 minutes). Was $19 just to come out and $159 to open the lock, which he told me would require cosmetic damage to my front door unless I was willing to pay even more. Because the price already seemed steep, I chose the more inexpensive option and will now have to deal with it looking like I had a break-in to all of my prospective tenants, splintered wood etc. I was told only to expect 'some scratches.' I had all four of my locks re-keyed on my condo 2 days ago and it was $95 for the entire service with Busy Bee. Out of curiosity I called Busy Bee once this locksmith left and they charge $75 flat rate to come out and for the service, but were not available for 3 hours. Everything u have stated is not true! I've been @ this residence since 1994. This is NOT the 1st lock that I have had replaced. U were rude from the moment I attempted 2 explain the problems with the lock. The problem is NOT the distance between the exterior door & the security door. All the other condos have the same distance on their doors. The problem was with the type of lock u installed. U installed a room lock with a knob, instead of a security door lock with a handle, which is the type of lock u removed. Common sense would dictate that u install the same type of lock. When the locks kept hitting each other bcuz of the wrong type of lock u installed, ur remedy was 2 make a hole on the exterior door. Who does that? When I arrived home on ur 2nd attempt 2 remedy ur mess, u greeted me by rudely telling me, "the enemy is here"! U proceeded 2 embarrass & disrespect me in front of my boyfriend, who IS NOT the homeowner. I am the homeowner. U told me that I had been aggressive with u via text. I was being assertive, not agressive, bcuz u kept blaming ur lousy work on the installation of my doors. U didn't want 2 fix ur mess. I also saw u on Facebook partying, when u said u had 2 cancel bcuz u had a huge job 2 finish. Guess ur partying was the "huge job". U continued disrespecting me & looking @ my boyfriend, while u were laughing @ me. I repeatedly told u 2 address me, the homeowner. U even asked my boyfriend if we were still together bcuz u liked him & wanted 2 party with him! This is the 2nd time that u have propositioned my boyfriend in front of me, again disrespecting me. My boyfriend told u we were together & u said, "2 bad"! He also told u he liked women, not men! Any woman would have gotten upset with u 4 that. U told me that u were an attorney. That's when I told u that I was aware of my rights & would contact the appropriate State agencies 2 file a complaint against u. U later called 2 apologize 2 me bcuz u said my review was affecting ur business. To date, the lock u installed is loose, still hits the other lock causing damage 2 it, the material u put 2 repair the hole never hardened & the security door pops open when I unlock it! U charged me $240 for a VERY UNSATISFACTORY job, which will cost me more $ 2 hire a competent locksmith 2 repair ur work! I am now contemplating suing u in Sml Claims Crt 4 all the aforementioned! read more
