I am completely disgusted by the service I received from Anthony. I bought a pair of shoes for eighty-two dollars, only to discover a temporary sale sticker hidden under the shoe sole marking them down to sixty dollars. When I called to get this sorted out, Anthony actually had the nerve to tell me it was my fault for not digging under the shoe sole to find the sticker. He completely tried to pin his own store's pricing oversight on me instead of making it right. Unbelievably rude and unprofessional. We went to another location and my daughter's shoe size was "out of stock" we were also told at the other location the "manager" is the one that stocks ..... so we have to wait till he returns from vacation? I recently bought two pairs of Dr. Martens boots at the Citadel Los Angeles store. One pair felt unusually tight from the beginning, but the salesperson assured me this was normal and that they would become comfortable after a few days. After a week, the right boot became extremely uncomfortable and painfully tight on the front part of my foot, clearly feeling defective. When I returned to the store, a woman who identified herself only as "Alexa," claiming to be the manager, treated me very rudely and refused to provide her full name. Despite explaining the issue and showing the defect, she dismissed my concerns, mocked me, and repeatedly said it was "not her problem" because the boots had already been worn. She even told me I could report her because she "didn't care." This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. The service provided to my boyfriend and I today was beyond disrespectful. We were assisted by a female employee with colored contacts wearing black shorts, black Sinclair Dr martens, and a purple v neck. We walked in hoping to find a pair of boots for him and as regular doc users didn't need much assistance. I strayed away to look at other sale items when said employee was doing the most attempting to sell herself rather than make the sale so I made my way back to insert myself. Her lack of social cues left me and my significant other in awe. Parading herself around us singing and adding her own unwarranted personal opinion on the shoes we were looking at when it was pretty clear we wanted to be left alone. We ended up not purchasing a pair because she made the entire interaction extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Devastated I have to make a review like this, but she was doing way too much. I've consistently had friendly service at this store by other patrons that have never overstepped in that manner. read more

Variety of styles and in stock with my size. Store carries great energy. Clean organized. Wonderful sales team. Super friendly, welcoming. Not pushy at selling but advised on the current deals. I haven't had Dr. Martens since highschool! Educated me on proper fabric care and I received a pair of free socks. read more

I had great speedy service I bought the 5-Eye Grizzly Leather Shoes over the weekend. When I was there I had left my keys over the weekend and Leilani was SO KIND. I had call over 5 stores trying to find my keys and I learned she kept them at the store. I didnt have to go on a goose chase looking for them. I would of never found my car keys if it wasn't for her. Very grateful! read more

I had a horrible experience. I went to the outlet and they had a sell spend $175 get $50 off, spend $225 get $75 off. When purchasing I asked the employee if we were close to the 3rd tier and he said no we were closer to the $175 tier. After looking at the receipt I realized we're at $218 which is $8 under. They employee was wrong so we went back and asked if we could purchase a pairs socks because it would make the total cheaper plus we would get an extra item. However the manager Vince was rude and stated that if he did that we would lose our return policy because he going to process it as an exchange. We weren't asking for another size or a different shoe so I offered to purchase them since my finance original did, if it was a same person issue, we also let him know that we bought them today less than an hour ago. But he stated it didn't matter if we were different people or used a different card because people in the past scammed them he would still take away the return policy despite it being his employees fault. The worker Rose was next to him and was whispering apologies and had a horrified look as if he was profiling us. It's sad that she is so kind but the manager is a horrible person. We felt discriminated against and definitely will be leaving a corporate complaint against Vince. People like him should not be allowed to work in customer service. read more

Where do I even start? The moment we walked in, there were plenty of sales associates around--but as soon as we asked for help finding a pair of shoes, things changed. They couldn't even locate the matching shoe. Not a single associate approached us again. Be aware of the shoes here. A lot of them look really used, returned, or tried on multiple times. The employees are pushy, constantly asking if you needed help. & one girl was rude/sarcastic. Honestly just buy them online, they're pretty much the same price. read more

The business practices that they have at this location are horrible, not only did my friend and I go here to shop for new shoes. We were sold two left shoes. When we tried to call them and let them know that there was an error, they told us to get back to the store to exchange it or get a refund. I understand this much but let me paint you a bigger picture. If you're someone who doesn't have a car and already has to pay Ubers to get where you're going, know that this will be the last time anyone ever shops at this location or any other location because from here on out I will make sure that everyone knows doc martens are the worst fucking shoes in all of history including their fucking abysmal guest service. read more

I have the Citadel passport (15% off discount) I went Saturday and went back on Sunday and the supervisor said you can only use the coupon once. Never had a problem in any other store at Citadel. The other staff was nice but just because of her they a 1 star. read more
