I was going to different dentist office and they kept wanting to redo fillings over and over again. I finally went for a 2nd opinion at Renken and the fillings I have are still great. I also have some TMJ issues that have gradually becoming worse and worse. Dr. Renken suggested botox at my last cleaning. I went for a consultation. While the price is a bit steep for the procedure, Dr. Renken listed to all of my concerns about my facial expressions being affected, side effects, the fact that the procedure is still new, etc... They were NOT pushy AT ALL about the procedure. We ultimately decided that I would try chiropractic methods for dealing with the TMJ before we decided to do the botox procedure. They were so understanding and awesome.

Although, I was expecting a different anesthesiologist and the one we had could not find a vein in her. It took about 10 sticks for them to finally find them. Thank God she had some pre sedation meds because it was horrible. When people can't drink water before surgery it makes them dehydrated, which makes it difficult to find veins. In that kind of situation you can't just go get another nurse to do it. So I kind of expect the one person there that's licensed to insert a needle to be exceptional at it especially when dealing with children. I hate to complain when someone is helping my child, but I hate to see a situation like that happen when it could have easily been avoided with some extra care and training in simple phlebotomy. The dr herself is very good and thorough. I have no complaints with her or her staff. She is a great dr and my daughter is no longer and afraid of the dentist as she was before.

When I asked what it was for the office manager came out with an attitude and stated that it was for dental work that was done and I been billed for the last two. I explained that was not the case and I was not prepared to pay it today. She just kept going on, so I eventually had to ask her to stop. 15 minutes later she came out and asked if I wanted to see the dentist and I said of course I have an appointment. She said that I was unable to see the dentist until I payed $62 today or that I could leave. I was humiliated and offended. I'm sure the whole office could hear her. The next day I got a letter from Ty Milner himself stating that my actions were inappropriate and that they were going to separate services. I'm totally blown away of the treatment by this dentist that I have seen for many years.

For…read moreexample, there are some pediatric dentists who advise sedation, crowns and root canals for cavities in baby teeth. Dr. Rose is quite the opposite. He does not use sedation. Instead, he works quickly using positive reinforcement to get the job done. His philosophy for baby teeth is to try a filling first before costlier treatments. He did an amazing job putting in a filling for our very anxious squirmy child. He's patient and kind and helps work through anxiety rather than mask it with sedation. He has amazing hygienists who are pros at dealing with uncooperative kids. We were very pleased with our experience and will be back.

And, her work fell out of my child's mouth even before I had it paid off using her high interest credit plan - less than 12 months. She and her staff were very judgmental about my child's diet, brushing and flossing habits. We were all ashamed and embarrassed after visiting her and her staff. We will never return.
