I would wary of the work done by this Dentist that we had several years ago. My wife and I had a number of issues with Dr. Rick's work: 1. two of my in-office produced crowns have since broken and needed replacement much too quickly. 2. Two crowns placed by Dr. Rick left too wide a gap between my teeth, allowing food to accumulate, causing me ongoing gum issues. My new dentist had to add material to the crown to close the gap. 3. My wife quit going after she was given a numbing injection too aggressively by Dr. Rick, damaging the nerve and causing her jaw pain for almost a year. The doctor blamed her, claiming she must have tensed her jaw muscles when getting the injection-that's never happened to her before. Of course, I decided not to return there. read more

I absolutely love Dr. Rick dentistry. Dr. Rick is an engaging and enigmatic person and he is an EXCELLENT dentist. I have been to many dentists and orthodontists in my adult life dealing with severe TMJ. Dr. Rick has been an excellent addition to my MD panel. Few things: 1) He is honest. I have never felt pressured to do anything and he tells me the truth on if a procedure needs to be done or not. 2) I have never felt like he or his practice is ever trying to get me to buy things for the sole purpose of their profits. 3) Dr. Rick is a great guy and is evident by the staff he hires that have stayed with him for years! From the moment I stepped into Dr. Rick's office, I felt at ease. There's something about an immaculate and very well-appointed lobby that reveales something positive about the level of professionalism one is about to experience. Next came the receptionist. This is crucial. This person can make or break a business. Yet, once again, I was not disappointed. Pure professionalism, friendliness, comfort, attention to detail, etc. Next I was given a tour of the office and saw machinery that is state of the art, individual rooms that were very well appointed, and incredible energy from every step staff member I passed in the hallway. Once I was taken to my room, I experienced nothing but the very best from Dr Rick and his assistant Bridget. They assessed my needs, took necessary X-rays and photographs, quickly cleaned and prepped the area with no pain, and installed a new crown. Wow! I did not expect it to be that easy. I probably laughed more during this procedure from their banter than I've ever laughed in a dentist office. It made me feel incredibly comfortable. This was followed up by my 6-month cleaning (done by Lilly - - the plaque pirate who leaves no treasure buried) and a thorough exam determining what I needed to do in the future. So get this, instead of waiting for the future, I told them to book me to get everything done as quickly as possible. In just a few days, my mouth will be exactly how I've wanted it to be for years.
