The treatment was a bit mediocre. They technically just put you in a steam cap and they shampoo the crap out of your scalp. I was extremely upset at the end when the person that helped me out harassed me for a tip and said how are you going to tip me?which I was going to but let me do it on my own. I felt forced. After I tipped her $20 thru Venmo she waiters looked at it and said tip is 20%. She started at me until I gave her more. I then told her tip is courtesy and that's all I could afford. And she just said again it's 20%. I then explained to her that tip is not required to be that much. It's a courtesy. Finally I tried to walk out and they lock you in! My second year with Dr. Scalp. I used to get my hair loss treatment in flushing but then they opened a store in manhattan so I immediately followed. I have to say it is the best hair treatment I've ever gotten and that's probably why I've stayed with them for so long. Their treatment was very relaxing and I usually come here and get a hair spa done once a week after a long week of work. The tech named Jessica serves me , she is very knowledgeable and professional , she told me that healthy hair have to be start with healthy scalp, so by check type of my scalp type will be first step. She asks my lots questions like my sleep pattern and quality , my job and stress level and any sign or symptoms about my hair and scalps--- she said questions are important for her to analyze my problems. Bc everyone is different she have to make treatment plan base on the individuals condition. After that she start using type of magnification scopes with different power to check my scalp ( I don't know what is that call but it's amazing technology) all detail of scalp images show on the screen , she explains all to me about the images and my problems. Mine are oily and sensitive. She takes to me the backwash shampoo bed, there are three there , two of them already occupied. Jessica tells me just relax and closed my eyes. She using hands , rib shampoo ( special shampoo for my problems) all over my hair and then use brush and massage my scalp , she says it's special brush designed by their company , it maximizes lather , promote blood circulation and stimulation , it also provides a thorough cleanse of all remaining dead skin cells and debris. I fall asleep in this step. It just too comfortable. Lastly she dry my hair and using some serum combine with machines to massage my scalp again and my shoulders and neck. It's a great experience. She even check my scalp again with magnification scopes again after that to give me better pics of results. I will definitely come back to finish my treatment. I trust them. It's my first visit after several month due to the pandemic, dr scalp operates entirely by appointment now to keep customer and staff safe. While I walking this morning, I am only one customer , all staffs are wearing the mask and gloves , Jessica told me that all equipments and room are cleaned and sterilized before each client step into the building and they are keeping hour s apart from one another try to keep only one clients is in the place at a time. I am here for me scalp care today. During the pandemic I was using DR scalp hair products at home since lockdown , I have been client for 8 month now and Jessica is the best , professional skills and knowledgeable, my scalp is less sensitive and oily now n my hair regrowth a lot after series treatment. Wow what an amazing experience I never been to a place like this but thought I'd give it a try. The service from stepping inside to all the safety protocols I could tell it was off to a great start. They have snacks and juice tea water for free and used a machine to take pics inside my scalp for free to see how dry it was. I thought I might as well try it and from then it doesn't even feel like a treatment more like a massage with treatment and then they rest you for ten minutes with some bag that has some treatment smoke blowing inside (forgot the name) after they rub and spray in more treatment and give you they best scalp massage with there machine and with there hands!!!
