I am a esthetician myself and have had my own clinic for 10 years and I have never had such an unprofessional facial treatment as this one I got and it cost 250 Dollars. Of the 2 hours she was only with me for 1 hour. The bed i was laying on was hard and I had no neck pillow and I was freezing. The treatment was superficial and the massage was not deep at all. I paid 70 Dollars extra for massage. My neck was also not treated which is an important part of the face. I did not give any tip because it was so bad. Booked a GM Algo Mask Treatment through Classpass for my first ever facial and it was a very relaxing experience! The facial is advertised for 90 mins but actually it was only about 1 hour and 10 mins. Candice is professional and explained the steps & products she was using. I did not realize how painful the extractions would be but I'm glad she was super thorough. My skin felt smoother and brighter afterwards. She did try to sell me on other services which I politely declined. I believe she said she doesn't really make money off of Classpass appointments, so if you book through Classpass, make sure you bring cash/credit card for tax & tip since only the service is covered. I cannot say better things about Candice. This is probably one of the best facials I've ever had. She was so thorough in my acne facial, and it lasted 90 minutes. Everything smells great, and you can feel the quality of the products, and she thoroughly enjoyed making sure my face was clean, and the extractions were deep. I ended up falling asleep during the facemask at the end. I also really appreciated how she explained to me certain things about my skin that were happening and some of the ways to take care of it at home. I spent 2 weeks in NYC and went to You and Her Spa 3 times. Candy ( Candice actually; I thought it was Candy the first time I met her) is still the best. Her salon is not one of those places that you go to get those overpriced, lame facials disguised as "relaxing". No, you go there to clean your pores, get all the nasty gunk out of your face, plump your skin and come out of there LOOKING great. In my case, since I haven't had a facial in a long time, I had a lot of extractions and had some scabbing for a few days after my facial. But my skin was super plump and amazing. First, I I had the botinol facial + biolift microcurrent. I love the latter, I have it done every time I come to NYC ever since 2012. The botinol facial is similar to Botox, but non-invasive and not from animals (I think Candy said comes from vegetal?). She puts a mask on your face that only has holes for your nose, but she will make a hole for your mouth if requested (I didn't). The next day I was taking pics at the subway station (I know, I know, I'm still a tourist) and I noticed how full my cheeks looked. My sister grabbed my cheeks and said that she definitely could see a difference. A week later, I had the Vumiere Time Keeper - microcurrent lifting + LED light. After cleansing and extractions, she did the LED light first and then she gave me the mirror to see the difference. I looked like those commercials that have a split face of before and after. She finished the other side and then used the microcurrent. I had my period a day later and had a bunch of pimples, so I didn't really notice the results from that facial, but my sister definitely did. The third facial was today, 5 days after the last one. I had the GM Collins Collagen 90 Facial treatment and biolift microcurrent. She used a mask again with holes only for nose but kept it on my face for 45 minutes instead of 30 minutes. Candy gave me a shoulder massage at the end (I believe I had a shoulder massage at all appts). She has some technique to apply lotions and any products on your face which is very nice. I cannot wait to come back to nyc because in LA it is hard to find an esthetician with skills and knowledge like Candy/Candice. read more

I've always had ear problems since I was young, and this was such an easy and painless way to clean your ears. I got my eyebrows done during covid and my legs lasered. You have to take your temperature before going and I was asked if I had gotten a COVID test in the last week. Candy (the owner) was so sweet to me, walking me through the process and explaining how there is plastic sheeting for both of our protection and that she installed touchless sinks and has touchless soap for my protection. I found this place from yelp a month ago and was decided to try this spa out base on the reviews and its location ( only 2 blocks away from my home) Never had problems to schedule an appointment even they only have 2 people working and I always come with my cousin. The spa is small yet cosy and clean. I love the way they do extraction. I really keen on my pores and they spend a lot of time on it to make sure there is no single blackhead left on my face which is a plus. I don't know where to begin. I came here to treat myself to a facial and lash extensions for Mother's Day. The reviews were alright and the prices were enticing, but that was about it. I saw that they had a Mother's Day special where you buy one service full price and get the second service half off. Well the website was not clear at all, I found out when I got there that you can't use the 50% off on a second service, you have to come back to get the same service done at a different time so that was terribly misleading. DO NOT come here if you want to relax. This is not a spa, this is not even close. I have never been so uncomfortable in my life! There is no sense of customer service or respect. The thing is I wanted to like it so I gave it a chance. I spoke to Candy on the phone who was so kind and friendly but she wasn't there on Mother's Day so I got my services done from Wang. Pros: - can't beat the prices - got started right away, no wait time - able to accommodate me for my facial with chemical peel AND lash extensions on the same day Cons: - Wang kept leaving the door to my room wide open and I could hear people outside and worse they could see me laying there the whole time. I asked Wang very politely to close the door 2 or 3 times but she would open it again and again and leave it wide open. I was so uncomfortable with this. It should be out of respect that you close the door during services! - I normally get my lashes done at BlingLash and decided to try You and Her Spa's lashes this time. Wang took OVER 2 hours on my lashes (that's a little long for lashes to be applied, i'm used to 1-1.5 hours tops!) and the worse part is they are crooked and uneven!!!!!! Seriously, she took over 2 hours and still did a terrible job? I couldn't believe it. She also dropped the tweezers on my face a few times and she didn't even apply the guard for my bottom lashes correctly because a majority of my eyelashes were stuck together at the end and it was so painful to open my eyes. This was the WORST EYELASH EXTENSION EXPERIENCE EVER. And My lashes look terrible. I am soooo ashamed of them. - Wang kept leaving my facial to go outside to do stuff and then came back to touch my face, i don't even think she washed her hands - the other person working with her was watching TV really loud at the front desk (not acceptable at a spa) I was so upset when I was checking out that I told Wang I didn't want my 50% off my next service because I know it won't be worth my money. Candy, I really wanted to work with you and possibly get the 3D hairlike eye brow service but i'm afraid that after today, I can't trust your spa or the quality and I do NOT want to have messed up eye brows. The staff was very nice, but the ambiance & quality of this place is extremely lacking. If you're looking for a place to relax and feel good, I would not recommend coming here. It's more of a quick-facial type of spot for someone who likes no frills or pampering. The treatment rooms look like back offices, and in real need of renovation and design. The supplies are kind of old and dirty-looking too, and I'm pretty certain my aestetician scrubbed my whole face multiple times with the same reused generic-brand paper towel that she rinsed in the cold-watered sink. The rooms are not sound-proof at all and it's really distracting when you can hear all the loud chatter of people in the waiting area speaking loudly in Chinese while you are trying to relax. Overall, I think the treatments are kind of overpriced for what they are, since you're really not getting any of the spa feeling of a higher-end place. They didn't even offer water or tea before or after the treatment. I walked out of the place feeling just greasy, and my face was so glistening and smelly that I had to rinse it off in a public bathroom. Though I would not say I had a terrible experience here, I probably would never go back here as I personally am not a fan. read more

I really like how my eyelashes come out today. I had my previous eyelashes, so they only charge me $50 for after two weeks refilling and $2 for tax and extra for tips. I have lot of my own eyelashes already. So the set comes out full and lively. It was easy to make an appointment and everyone is very friendly there. The only downside was that I wish they play led some relax music in the background. But I fell asleep anyway without it. The spa is not very fancy but clean and sufficient. Everyone including myself assume it's for removing ear wax and you think you're gonna walk out with spider-senses....or at least better hearing!! It's incorporated with a lymphatic massage at the neck and it's for detoxification. So if you request to see inside the cone, she'll cut it open, and that's not wax my friends, it's toxins. Really amazing process. Sometimes you may have more or less, depending on your current condition. * take note to the massaging - if it feels more painful, see if the amount of toxin residue shows it vs the side that is less "knotted" up. Walked in for eyebrow and lip threading and was very satsified with how the process went. The threader pulled out the daylight light (which I have never gotten at any other threading salon) ... She could actually see all the hairs and was super meticulous with removing them. The thread she used was very thin and even though it hurt at some places, mostly was painless and quick..I also did not have to pull and stretch my skin as much as I have had to for other threading salons. The whole salon was very well kept and clean! The threader also made sure that I was satisfied with the result (and was more than willing to re-thread some areas) ADDITIONALLY -- the threading was $7 per area ...super reasonable and affordable. I came to You and Her Spa on a Lifebooker deal for an under eye biolift treatment. While the price was enticing, it ends there. I didn't have high expectations for the aesthetics of this place knowing it was on East Broadway, however you had to enter the building through a Chinese restaurant to get to the elevator. Once I arrived in their floor and checked in, I was taken to the room right behind the reception desk. The person who worked with me never explained the treatment, what she was doing, nothing. No conversation whatsoever. However when the phone rang she got up to answer, when people walked in our room (because she never shut the door) she talked to them. Once the less than 20 minute procedure was over, I wasn't offered a mirror to check the results. Nothing. She just walked out of the room. Based on my experience I definitely won't be returning, and it's certainly not worth the crazy cheap deal on Lifebooker as I also got zero results. read more

I got a Lifebooker deal, $45/3-time bio-lift eye treatment at You and Her Spa. Was skeptical at first but satisfied at the end. In general I think they did a rather good job for the price they offered (even their retail prices were rather low too!). I got my 3-treatment served by both ladies, who were equally nice and conversational (I spoke broken Mandarin but it helped); which made the 45-min treatment more relaxing. In all honesty, I prefer Candy's service better as she seemed to have better technical skills and performed her job more thoroughly. The other lady seemed nice although she would need further improvement of both skills and dedication. If I have to rate, Candy definitely gets a straight A, while other may get a B++. I was impressed by the products they used, Canadian products, smelled nice, felt good and probably good stuff because all had far ahead expiration date :). Although I would resist myself from making comment about location because the price already reflected that. If anyone ever demands to have the look and feel of a luxury spa in a location like this, one should be prepared to pay 3x the price! After all it's NYC - location determines pricing. However, for Candy's sake I would note my thoughts on her spa's interior design and decoration. The reception area could be re-arranged to make it more specious. Service rooms should be de-cluttered, re-organized and probably new bed sheets and all. the washroom is clean although small and very cluttered. I found You and Her on Yelp, and decided to check it out because of the good reviews and great location. I arrived shortly after the spa opened and was asked to return in 20min, which was disappointing but wasn't a terrible problem for me since I live nearby. When I returned everything was set up and waiting. The spa owner Candy, I believe, was gentle and efficient - she did such a great job and was very professional. She didn't ask me how I wanted my brows done, though. I paid $7 for the waxing, which I am used to paying at the other place I frequented in my old neighborhood. You and Her Spa is incredibly affordable and does great work for the same price of other brow salons that do quite subpar or sloppy work. I would liked to have been seen when I first arrived, but over all it am pleased with my experience. I've recommended the spa to my sister and would like to go back for a massage or manicure at some point. read more

Really great prices here and friendly staff too! I got the Seaweed facial which was great for my dry skin. The technician was quick with the extractions but thorough which is much appreciated. I appreciate that they didn't try to up sell me on things I didn't need like other spas. I was going to get the regular Cleaning facial, but then I mentioned I was dry so she recommended the seaweed one which was only $10 more. Most other places will try to sell you on other things like eyebrows for a hidden costs or expensive treatments. It was especially worth it since I was a first time customer there and got 10% off so it worked out to be the same price of the facial I was originally going to get. read more
