The initial evaluation was thorough and the tech let me know I didn't have underground termites, which I learned are a major issue, but that I did have dry wood termites which can be effectivly treated. The treatment was thorough and the tech found traces in 2 other areas of the house. So far there are no signs of termites. About 14 years ago we had a termite treatment done by a different pest control company and had issues because they injected so much insecticide in the wall they treated that the insulation got mold. All they cared about was selling me an extended warranty saying for sure the termites will be back. Yes the termites come back, a month ago I found two termite swarms in old windows that had water damage and honestly felt it is time to tent, so we can get rid of these termites forever (not true unless you live in a concrete bunker). Two termite companies inspected one infested window, walked the house exterior and gave me their quotes for a whole hose tenting, so I was pretty much decided we had to do it in the spring, despite them not being responsible for any roof tile damage which would likely cost thousands to repair. But I promised myself to get 3 termite treatment quotes, so when Anthony from Dr Termites showed up I expected he was going to give me the same talk about tenting the whole house, damaging the roof, moving out, packing the food, and hiring subs for their work. Not only that he said they don't do tenting but he was the only one to do AN HOUR INSPECTION inside and out, for no charge, (yes got a bid for $350 from local pest control company to inspect even though I told the they're drywood termites) Anthony explained when they do the termite treatment the technicians will further test all the windows and doors for termite colonies with electronic handheld devices, something the other guys said there is no way to test. For me the choice was clear by going with Dr Termites, vs moving out with two cats, not having to deal with any residual sulfuryl fluoride gas that they say is all gone when they remove the tent, plus roof repairs. Two weeks later, the guys from Dr Termite showed up on time, were incredibly careful around our home and tested every window and door with their gadgets for termite activity, found some new places, and to my surprise found one recently installed window to have termites. There was no mess from drilling the drywall or wood window frames, they vacuumed everything and cleaned up. I secretly wished these guys could do other trades, like plumbing, electrical as I'd hire them in a second! They also sprayed the bare wood in the crawl space plus other spaces around the house with harmless insecticide, borate based the and never complain how tight the space is. I feel totally confident Dr Termite guys tackled the termite swarmers and if any termites show up next year I know they will come back to treat it, as they warranty their work for 3 years. I'm not worried they will not be around because they are busy. A day later, there is no chemical smell from treating inside the house and spraying under, the cats are happy, everything is back in place, no food was packed or removed and I feel incredibly lucky I found these guys on Nextdoor, as other neighbors used them. read more

I contacted dr termite to do termite inspection at my elderly mother's house in Ventura. They told her that she had both drywood termites and subterranean termites. I had 2 other companies go out there after, and both companies said there were only Drywood termites and not subterranean termites. both estimates were about half the cost of dr termites. I found this to be quite deceptive and one of the inspectors from the other company told me that dr termites was known for telling home owners that they have subterranean termites when they don't. be careful with this company read more

I called this company due to a unique pest situation in my home and wanted more of a diagnostic company vs one who will just come out to spray. Despite stating they serve LA counties (where I live) on their website, I was told I was out of their service area. I asked if they would consider if I paid a premium. They asked the management and I was told they would work with me. A tech called me and asked for multiple pictures of the pest and then my home layout which I took time sending. He would never tell me next steps but just asking for more photos to "see the situation ". After sending multiple photos, I asked multiple times for next steps and when he could come out. I got ghosted like a high schooler who was coerced to send the pics. Needless to say, he never replied to my texts asking for next steps. These companies need to do better. I called Dr Termites for an inspection after seeing signs of termite activity in our home. Anthony came out to do the inspection and was prompt, polite and thorough in his inspection inside and out and told us our options as we did not want to tent. We chose to have the places drilled and injected with Termidor and the attic treated with Timbor. These treatments came with a 3 year warranty and an annual inspection which was superior to another company we got a quote from. I had a whole house inspection & treatment (spot treatments not tenting) back in 2022 with Dr. termite. I was given a three year warranty. Over the past three years they have come back probably five or six times for various little spots that I needed treated. This was all under the warranty. My warranty will be up in September 2025. I fully plan to re-up with Dr. termite. Their service is top-notch. They are honest and I really feel you get bang for your buck. Dr Termites just serviced my home and I feel very good about the work they've done. It started with a visit to the areas they could access; they were respectful and didn't wander through the house when they realized they were alone and couldn't find us. They saw activity in the area we suspected and checked the lower and basement crawl space. They provided an estimate and asked to return to finish inspecting the rest of our home. They were through in their inspection, spot treated the area that needed it with orange oil and used the borax for a broader protection where the critters had gained access.
