5/5 - Dr. Zoo Saved My Pup's Life Dr. Zoo Veterinary Services saved my 13-year-old Labrador's life. (Then 12 year old pup). After spending $2K on labs in Carlsbad and being quoted over $15K for surgery to remove a towel she swallowed, I turned to Dr. Zoo. They ran frequent X-rays to monitor the situation and, once in surgery, discovered a tumor the size of a small fist in her liver. The vet performed two surgeries, provided 24/7 care, kept me updated constantly, and treated my dog like their own. The level of compassion and dedication was beyond anything I've experienced. The Cuban surgeon (I forgot his name, but! he is amazing! and the entire team truly love what they do--and it shows. Not only did they save my pup, but they spared me from a much higher cost in San Diego. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. Dr. Zoo has my full trust and highest recommendation. My Ñusta will be having another surgery for another cancer over the weekend, Dr. Zoo has my complete trust even when doing surgeries for my old puppy. Thank you! Thank you!

Dog fell ill and my typical vet couldn't see me. Dr Zoo got me in and out within a hour. The wait was about 30 minutes. The place was packed when I came here on a Saturday around 3pm. The care I received was fantastic. The doctor seemed to be really excited to be at work which is refreshing. We were prescribed a few pills and instructions. The front desk took care of payment. The whole experience was great. Price was a little pricey but to get in and out within a hour as a walk in, I think it was pretty fair. Staff speaks English if you're wondering. There's a small wait room inside and a large plaza outside. There a parking lot and you have to pay to park.

Can't say enough good things about this place!! They took care of my dog that needed emergency surgery. And literally saved his life. He is a 15 year old dog so I'm so thankful they helped

Super clean, very knowledgeable and fairly priced! This isn't too far from the border, I would take transportation next time. All is all, GREAT vet. For surgery, pathology, anesthesia, and meds to take home was less than $400

HospiVet did an outstanding job and I happily paid their fee, less than $400.00 I thought I might have to put my dog to sleep if I could not get him the relief he needed. My girlfriend translated for me, and I was told that when I brought him back to have the pins removed, I would only need to pay for anesthesia and medication. Since I had already prepaid in full, they even noted this on the discharge paperwork. Unfortunately, I threw the paperwork away before the appointment. When I returned, I was charged about $200 and told there were no notes indicating the pin removal was covered. A different doctor performed the procedure, which may have contributed to the charge. I expected to pay for anesthesia and medication, but not the additional fee. I paid it, and lesson learned: keep your paperwork. Aside from this issue, the staff were caring, professional, and provided excellent care for my cat. It seemed like a communication issue, but overall I had a positive experience. This will not prevent me from returning in the future.- but I will keep your paperwork!

It often felt like the nicer the place looked, the less they actually cared about the pets. Because of that, I gave up and kept paying the ridiculous vet prices in San Diego... until I simply couldn't take it anymore. Thank God I found Club de Nana on Yelp. After reading all the great reviews (and yes, they're REAL), I decided to give them a chance, and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was different. The entire staff truly cares about every pet that comes in. They don't see animals as $$$ signs, they listen, they explain, and they care about your fur babies. My first green flag was seeing multiple pets being cared for behind the front desk, literally hanging out freely instead of being locked in cages, I absolutely LOVED THAT!! There are no appointments, you just wait your turn. I've been there four times, and only once did I wait for my turn about 15-20 minutes. Every other visit was less than 5 minutes. The clinic looks like a house from the outside, so parking is limited, but even then I only had to wait about 10 minutes once. I took my 7-year-old pittie because he was bleeding while peeing. They ran different tests, diagnosed him with an enlarged prostate, and recommended surgery (neutering). It's now been 11 days since he got surgery at El Club de Nana, his stitches are out, the bleeding is completely gone, and he's happier and has so much more energy. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the doctors Lulu and Francisco, and the staff at Club de Nana. I have my healthy, happy boy back, and I couldn't be more grateful .

Medical Pet was the only one that answered and even though they were fully booked and closing in less than an hour, they still squeezed my doggy in and saw her. I was so happy when I arrived, the staff was extremely accommodating and wonderful. The clinic is very clean and has parking out front. Only about 10 mins from the border. I paid $160USD for the initial visit which covered the check-up, x-rays, and medications. Extremely affordable and fair pricing. My dog already had stitches on her cheek from another incident and the doctor offered to take them out at a later date. I went back a week after and they didn't charge me anything. She got her stitches at another vet in Poway (we paid $1100 for that visit, NEVER AGAIN). I can't recommend this place enough. Will definitely be bringing my puppies here for any veterinarian needs.

When we arrived, the clinic director, Victor suddenly changed the price to 4,500 pesos, claiming the "regular" price was 5,000 and we were already getting a deal. Even after showing the phone calls dates and times as proof, he refused to honor it. Then, when I confirmed gas anesthesia was included, he added another 250 pesos despite us being told twice beforehand that it was already part of the package and said it would be $300 cash. So clearly pesos would be cheaper so at the payment time, we offered to pay the agreed total in pesos, 4750= $271 but he suddenly insisted we owed $300 USD and showed us we signed the agreement to pay $300. The pricing kept changing throughout the visit, which felt extremely dishonest and unprofessional. They also only accepted cash or Zelle, which added to the concern. Overall, the experience felt misleading and left us feeling taken advantage of. We won't be coming back here.
