Excellent customer service. My wife went in to purchase a new dishwasher. The sales folks presented all options and did not try to upsell the more expensive choice. So we were pleased with the buying experience to start. Next came the installation, which was on time and professionally done. They subcontracted a plumber to do the work and they noticed a small leak under our kitchen sink while they were here. They fixed that for us at no charge. Next came a problem, and the real reason I felt inclined to write a review. Something was wrong with the control panel in the new dishwasher and the valve to let in the water would not open. They sent out a technician later in the day to confirm the issue. So we were left with a non functioning machine and we're naturally nervous about when this could be resolved. When we called Dracut, they said they would see what they could do. They called us back ten minutes later and told us that the model we ordered would not come in again for a while but they would get us the better, more expensive model installed in two days at no extra cost to us. Now we have a fully functioning and quiet machine and are extremely happy with the service Dracut provided. We understand that issues like this happen that are out of their control, but they recognized the urgency and fixed the problem without any real pushing from us. The quality of their washing and dishwasher machines have declined in quality over the years and it takes several weeks for a tech to come out and make repairs if you have a warranty program which I would highly recommend. For our dishwasher that broke a few months back it took several weeks for a tech to show up. When he did, he put back our dishwasher off center. I would recommend going to another retailer and not dealing with Dracut. read more

I've needed a new dishwasher since November. We went to Dracut Appliance in Tewksbury on a recommendation from a friend who purchased 4 appliances from them and it was a perfect experience! I went with a price range in mind and Jeremy our salesperson was able to get us a great dishwasher in the ball park of our budget! The best part is that Dracut Appliance delivers, removes the old dishwasher, and sends their own plumber to install. All for a very reasonable price! I love a reasonable one shot stop without the hassle and stress of having to coordinate everything myself! The plumber and his apprentice were efficient and kind! poor customer service . Asked to have a new in wall air conditioner installed ( replacing existing unit ) gave model and serial number of existing unit for dimensional purposes so they new the replacement would fit . Was told they would still have to send someone out to measure and then return with the new unit . I said why couldn't the service person bring the unit with him and install it . Was told they could not take my word on the dimensions and it would have to measured . I said I would send a picture of the tag with model and sn on it to verify fitment . Was told they would sell me a unit if i wanted to install it myself I said if I wanted to install it myself I would go to Best buy and get one cheaper they said to go ahead . They just want to add the cost of sending a person out twice . We recently bought a complete kitchen from them ( they did not install it the contractor did ) will not buy from them again . read more

When our old machine machine and dryer finally quit, I immediately started my research on the Dracut Appliance website. Michael responded to my web inquiry immediately, asked me several questions and emphatically told us what we should buy. After thanking Michael for his recommendation, I then proceeded to use the Dracut Appliance website and several other websites to do my research. After wasting an embarrassing amount of time, I contacted Michael the next day, asked him a few more questions and then proceeded to purchase the exact washing machine and dryer that he had recommended more than 24 hours earlier. Michael is knowledgeable, polite and not-pushy. He wanted to certain that we were 100% satisfied with our decision. Our appliances were delivered and quickly installed just three days later. I have written reviews before on this company. However, I was willing to give this company a chance on buying another appliance. I called and the person answering my call was very well spoken. I asked if he had a regular every day old style type refrigerator which is extremely comment according to my investigations on the internet, with a top freezer available. This person stated that they were totally out of stock but something would come in eventually???. My guess is that I had given a poor review on the washer I purchased several years ago and they do not want to do business with me any more since I called several other major suppliers and they had plenty in stock with delivery within days. Being a non judgemental person I gave this company another chance to give them business. The last time I made a comment on a washer and I was called on that review by one of the people in Dracut appiance. I then gave another well versed comment after talking with this person. To whomever is reading this at Dracut there is no need to call me on this since I am retired and very busy taking care of my Grandchildren. As background, I tried and failed to get a fridge delivered four separate times before calling Dracut Appliance - who got it done right the 1st time, on time and fast. Seems appliance delivery is a BIG problem today - Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy apparently use a 3rd party delivery service, that way, when there are problems (and there will be) they can say 'not our fault - it's a 3rd party delivery service.' Horrendous. Home Depot delivery does what they refer to as "outside delivery". After reading delivery horror stories online, I called to ask what outside delivery meant ... I was told they will literally leave the fridge "outside" - sometimes at the bottom of the driveway (mine is 300 feet away, so it could sit there for hours) but there were horror stories of stuff being left on street corners, down the street, dropped off the back of the truck etc. Two Home Depot online order reps said they would never use Home Depots delivery for this reason. I cancelled that order. Lowes was much worse. They'd give a window - 8AM - 12PM - and, of course, not show. I'd call Lowes for a status - hours past the window - and they'd say "no idea - it's the delivery service, not Lowes". THREE times the horrendous delivery service guy called (didn't speak English) HOURS after the window - always after 5 - and ask 'do you still want the fridge?' What a bizarre question. I'd say YES - OF COURSE! - and they wouldn't show anyway. Someone from Lowes would call me the next day to re-schedule the delivery. After the THIRD failed attempt - the window was 10-12 - they called after 5PM and asked if I still wanted it. I said "YES! BUT the "window" was FIVE HOURS AGO!" The guy swore at me and hung up. I called back and said "deliver it TONIGHT". He didn't. Lowes cancelled the order completely the next day, saying, if it's not delivered by the 3rd attempt, orders are cancelled. What a racket. Delivery service guys hang out at a bar all day - don't deliver half the stuff on the truck - and bring it back to Lowes lie and say "nobody home" and Lowes eventually cancels the order entirely. Horrendous. Either Dracut Appliance uses their own people OR use a professional, reputable delivery company. Either way, they were fantastic. Don't waste your time getting appliances from Lowes or Home Depot - go to Dracut Appliance. read more

I went in there today after thinking about buying a washer and dryer for a month. I wanted to buy a set from them that was discounted for being a display model. Well the sales man told me to take the measurements first then call if it fits. So I went home took the measurements and was satisfied so I called the up and him that I wanted to purchase it only to be told it was sold already!!! Then he started to tell me that it just the way it goes and I didn't have a deposit. I was not told about a deposit I would have done that to make sure I get it if the measurements fit but I was not given that option. I will take my business elsewhere and I wouldn't even consider stepping into this store again. read more

Stay Away from Dracut Appliance Center what a terrible experience. I bought a 42 inch refrigerator From this store Same size as the refrigerator that I was replacing when it was delivered it did not fit they gave me two choices I could have a cabinets maker shave down my cabinets or pay over $1000 for a restocking fee plus pay for the delivery. And I am so disappointed in Dracut appliance Center It was a very costly experience. read more

The prices are very similar to those large appliance shops. I decided to buy from here as they offered a rebate program. However the installation process is not impressive at all, and there is a dent left on my new dryer after the installation. read more

Shop local!! This place is the perfect place to buy appliances. Went to buy a fridge, they automatically checked competitors pricing for the fridge we picked out and adjusted the price to match before we paid. We didn't even ask them to but them doing so has ensured that we will keep coming back. Can't beat the service either, someone helped us right away and we were out of the store in 15min tops. I shopped around for a new refrigerator and I found that their price was as good as the "Big Box" store up the street. I'd rather do my business with a locally owned company than a large conglomerate so I bought my fridge from them. They took away my old one and installed the new one quickly. Just bought a new washer and dryer from here a few weeks ago and I will definately be going back for any other appliances I might need in the future. The store isn't huge, but there is a reasonable selection. Prices are competitive with even the big box stores. But it's really about the service that they provide. The salesman was not pushy and was able to provide great information on what he would recommend. He helped to explain different features of the machines and worked with us to find the best options for us, even if it meant not buying the more expensive machines. Ordered the washer and dryer for delivery. They were able to schedule me for a delivery within a matter of 2 days. Free delivery, set up, and haul away. They were even willing to bring extra supplies on the truck for set-up because I wasn't sure exactly what I needed when I was in the store. Even better, we had a small problem with the machine within a few days (our fault). Within 2 hours of calling, there was a repair man at my house fixing my machine. They even completed the repair free of charge. Definately using them for my next purchase. read more

I bought a Kitchenaide dishwasher with lots of bells and whistles from Dracut appliance, and unfortunately it would not finish a cycle. Dracut Appliance made three visits to my home to try to fix the unit, and when it could not be fixed, they promptly replaced it. Not only did they replace the unit, but when I called to ask for help, they were responsive and set up the service appointments to accommodate my schedule. The dishwasher was the same price as at the big box stores, but I cannot believe that a big box store would have stood behind the product like Dracut did. Would definitely buy other appliances there - they are actually part of the same buying cooperative that the big-box stores use, so you can pay the same price as at those stores, but with the assurance that if something goes wrong, they will stand behind what they sell. read more

We were looking for new appliances and stopped into Dracut. After talking with one sales asscociate about how we were not in a time crunch, he encouraged us to return in a few weeks when more sales were going on (much appreciated!) When we returned, we worked with Gene who helped us order our GE slate appliances and helped us determine which would be the best deal based on sales and rebates. Our timeline got pushed back a few times and Gene was great at rescheduling the delivery. There were a few obstacles in delivery (railings, narrow doors), but the delivery guys tackled them no problem. We could not be more pleased with how things turned out and we feel safe knowing Dracut is only a phone call away if we have any issues. read more

Went to Dracut appliance after we were not getting service from the store we bought appliances from. Was looking to upgrade some appliances and get one fixed. The sales person kept telling us he couldn't help with our existing appliance, and to keep calling the place we bought it from. I was not looking for free service, I was looking to hire someone to service ours. I think as soon as they hear you didn't buy it from them, they automatically try and get you out the door. They missed an opportunity to be a hero, make some money on service, and sell some appliances. Oh well read more

Without going into gory detail, I had an issue with a refrigerator that I purchased about a year ago. Seth, the manager of the Tewksbury story worked with Frigidaire to get them to accept the refrigerator back. I can't imagine an experience like that with a big chain store. The sales staff in the store were great, as another reviewer notes they are not pushy, do not work off commission, friendly, helpful. But when you can't delivery your product, at least back when I was in customer service, that was known as a "credibility gap". OK, so I've been in the market for a new oven and the Easter holiday was my timeframe. Wandered into their store to check on their selection, they happened to be having a sale and the sale price was just $100 over other places (including Best Buy where I usually shop) but included the delivery and electric cord so I figured it all worked out in the end and it feels good to purchase from a local small business, right? I wanted delivery for yesterday because I wasn't working because of a tooth canal anyway. Booked. We got today, Wed 5/16. My husband, a salaried employee, could work from home until 1pm only. The staff at the store told us they would request a morning appointment but could not guarantee one. (Come again??) As is customary for them, we would get a call the night before with our estimated delivery time. Last night we received a message that delivery would be between 10am-2pm. Since my husband had to leave at 1pm, I stayed home from work (I'm paid hourly) which requires some reshuffling of my schedule for the next two days and some tasks having to be put off until next week. Great. At 2:10pm I called and after waiting on hold I was told delivery would be about another half hour. That's it. I asked "Is that acceptable?". I was reminded that this was an ESTIMATED delivery time and what was the big deal, they were only a half hour late. I told the person (who identified himself as Steve from the appliance center) that an apology was due at least and received a sarcastic apology. He repeated that they were only a half hour late several times. (They would have been a half hour late if we had a 2pm appt but, in fact, I'd been waiting since 10am. Also, I had to call them to inquire, I never received a call that they were running late.) I pointed out that if being a half hour late were acceptable my husband could have stayed home and I wouldn't be fretting about appointments I have later in the day. And I'd certainly hear from my manager if I were a half hour late to an appointment -- besides my own feelings of being irresponsible. The whole attitude was "what's the big deal?". So, when it comes to customer service, they don't get it. Back in the day, I was also taught that it isn't the mistakes you make but how you deal with them that counts. It is now 2:58pm. No stove.
