The washer was rusted out and couldn't be repaired (1983 Whirlpool) so Joe gave me some recommendations as to the best machine for my needs. Dad has retired & now the sons have taken over the business. And sometimes this is not a good thing. BUT NOT HERE! My clothes dryer was working fine but blowing cold air. I called Thibodeau & they called me back, same day & were here, right on time, two days later. Jacque was clean cut & very personable. He even asked me for a broom & dustpan so he could clean my floor behind the dryer (which lets face it hadn't been pulled out in a long time) as it had lint, a few socks & dust back there. He fixed the two Thermal Couplers(?) which had failed. Even went outside to check that my dryer vent was venting properly before he left. They do not fix refrigerators. I have NO PROBLEM referring these guys to my friends & family. Thibodeau has been my "go to" repair guy for years now. Glad the new generation is just as good. Call them! read more

I did not use his services but appreciate his honesty, feedback and call back. My washer was leaking water and had oil splatter stain on that floor that I explained to him on his voicemail. He called back 2 hours later and left voicemail and gave me detailed explanation of the issue which was a worn bearing that needs replacement. Cost would be $600-$700 for my Maytag Bravos model and did not recommend me spending that money but rather purchase a replacement instead. Thibodeau repair service was great. He arrived on time and immediately got down to the underside of our stove to detect a burned out igniter. he had the part in his vehicle...and replaced it. I think his labor charge was appropriate for his service.. He then check our dishwasher problem...with no charge. I will call on Paul again and recommend him. happy to have my oven working and to know I need a new dishwasher...He didn't try to say he could repair. A burned out motor. I was deeply disappointed with my experience with Mr. Thibodeau's visit today, although I have had him come once before and he did a good job for a fair price that time. Today I called him because I smelled gas coming from my stove. He came in this morning, did a cursory inspection, informed me that the smell was not gas but was mouse urine, told me how to poison mice, and also said I should just get a new stove because mine wasn't supported anymore. He suggested I could put it on my credit card. He also said the gas company would just turn the gas off and tell me to get a new stove. By the time I got home this evening, the house smelled so badly of gas that it made me sick, even with the windows open. I called the gas company at 9 at night, who found the gas leak at the back of my stove in about five minutes, and said a plumber should be able to replace the gas line (not the stove). He also didn't make any disparaging comments about our mouse problem. I am disappointed that Mr. Thibodeau did not take me seriously, assumed that I didn't know what gas smelled like, and that he didn't thoroughly check the stove. It left my home in an unsafe condition, and I won't be using his services again. He did only charge $50, but considering that he didn't do what we needed him to do and gave us wrong information about what needed to be done next, I think I got what I paid for. read more

My dryer stopped tumbling clothes, and since I'm relatively new to the area, I found Thibodeau Appliance Repair on Google. I called in the morning, and Paul asked me some questions about the issue, then made time to come down and repair the unit same day. He arrived in a very timely fashion, had the necessary part, and completed the repair in about 15 minutes. Through the entire repair, he was nothing but professional and knowledgeable; he's extremely friendly and personable too! I had a problem with my washer in August. Paul came over with his son within a couple hours. He not only had it fixed quickly, he actually taught me how to fix it myself next time! Wow!! He looked at my dishwasher on the way out when I asked him a question about it and looked up the part# on Amazon with the price. I called MR Thibodeau this morning, luckly for me he was in my area when I called. When I first spoke with him he said he could be here between 1-3 this afternoon. When I gave him my address he said he could be here much sooner. Long story cut short my washer was up and running within 1 hour, now that's service. Very professional and clean work. And his fee was very fare. It was less than others charge just to show up. I did not need any parts. But he did have to dis-assemble the water pump and but it back together. read more
