There is a section to the side that does not have a good view of TV screens so make sure to indicate if you want a tv view when you arrive. They took us to a table initially on the side and we asked for a better view and they switched us tables, which was great! Food - we ordered the eight count chicken wings, which was more than enough for both of us because it's the whole wing, basically two pieces each. We also ordered the fries which are like potato wedge swirls and were lightly seasoned, which was good. Lastly we ordered the bourbon peach cobbler... Didn't taste a lot of bourbon and it definitely needed more bready texture but it was still good. I would say it's more like a peach pie.

The service was still slow (all casino restaurants seem to be super slow), but the food quality and quantity made up for it. I didn't get a photo of my friend's chicken wings, but OH MY! They were huge! Like carnival food huge. He said they were delicious too. I recommend the BLT - messy but delicious, the sliders (comes with 3), or the hot dogs. All very filling and could be split with someone or take what you don't finish to go. It gets loud in there on game day. We were there on a Friday and then again on a Saturday. Loud, but fun!

We arrived just a couple minutes after their 11 a.m. opening, and the place was already packed, a good sign in itself. Luckily, with only three of us, the hostess got us seated at a table right away. The exterior isn't much to look at, but stepping inside tells a different story. The interior has a sports bar meets old school diner vibe, with decor that gives the whole place a nostalgic, lived-in charm. We all decided on the Darrell's Special sandwich with jalapeño mayo, and it did not disappoint. Our waitress was fantastic the whole meal, constantly checking in, keeping our drinks filled, and making sure we didn't need anything else. Despite how busy the place was, our sandwiches came out in a surprisingly short time. The sandwich itself is a beast! A toasted, loaded bun stacked with ham, turkey, and roast beef (which I hear is made in-house), all topped with roast beef gravy, American, Swiss, and provolone cheeses, lettuce, mustard, and your choice of regular or jalapeño mayonnaise, of course we had the Jalapeño Mayo. The first bite reminded me of a warm French dip, but that impression quickly gave way to layers of different meat flavors, rounded out by the subtle heat of the jalapeño mayo. It practically melted in my mouth. Honestly, I wanted to finish the whole thing, but I didn't want to need to be rolled out of the building, so I boxed up the second half and enjoyed it again for dinner. Great food, great service, and now I understand what all the buzz was about.

There were three of us, and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed until closing! We started with the Crab Beignets and the Bone Marrow Tartare. I had never tried bone marrow tartare before, but it was absolutely incredible. The combination of prime tenderloin tartare, bone marrow, garlic aioli, and chimichurri purée was unique and packed with flavor. For our entrees, we had the Lobster Pasta, Mushroom Pasta with Chicken, and the Power Bowl with Shrimp. Every dish was outstanding. The Power Bowl was especially flavorful, and I absolutely loved the sauce. The lobster pasta was rich and delicious, and the mushroom pasta was perfectly prepared. To finish, we shared the Brownie in a Cup, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Everything we ordered was amazing. Great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Calla is definitely a place we'll be returning to. Highly recommended!

Christiano was a fantastic server and took great care of us. The menu is innovative and the flavors are on point. The steak frites and fried oysters are great, the sea bass and beef shank specials were literally to die for. And I would be remiss, if I didn't give a major shout out to the greatness that resides in both the beef and chopped salads. They're incredible. The cocktails are crafty and well made to boot. The brownie in a cup dessert was my personal favorite, but the nutty cheesecake is surprisingly light and delicious also. All in all, Calla's got it all going on and you can't miss it. Cheers!

The charbroiled oysters absolutely lived up to the hype--they were buttery, cheesy, and packed with flavor. I also ordered a seafood entrée that was fresh and perfectly cooked. We had the chargrilled oysters, alligator bites for an appetizer as we typically do. The oysters seem to get more overcooked and dry every time we visit. The alligator bites were fine. One daughter ordered the crawfish Mac and cheese as an entree. It might have had five crawfish tails in the entire dish. The seasoning was typically flavorful but the lack of crawfish was a disappointment. My other daughter ordered the crab salad which she said was really good. From my perspective it was likely the best entree presented on our table. My wife and I ordered the crawfish trio with crawfish etoufee, fried tails and crawfish Mac & cheese. Similar to my younger daughter's entree, only smaller portion, our Mac & cheese had no crawfish tails that we could find. The etoufee seemed to be mostly rice and little crawfish. The fried crawfish was the only obvious crawfish on the platter. We are fairly certain this was our last visit to this Drago's as we can get far better food at Asia down the corridor for far less money. The service at Asia is also far superior.
