    Xibei chicken potato stew

Great cafeteria style noodle shop with very friendly service, and an attached food mart. The noodles are hand pulled and with every bowl you get to pick four kinds of noodle. Definitely try the biang biang - it's very wide! We ordered a ton of stuff and it was all really delicious. Top favourites : - garlic cucumbers - really good - Xibei chicken potato stew - the flavour of this dish was out of this world. So rich and wonderful. I wish this dish had more noodles or maybe it should be eaten with rice. - chicken tomato biang biang - really great flavour. My wife wanted to order a second dish. - chicken mushroom burger - crispy flaky roti really makes this dish - steak rib cheesy rib noodle - this was good too Definitely stop by if you love noodles.

I came here and got to try three different dishes and they were all very well made! Everything had great flavor and I would come back here for their noodles. The restaurant is neat with bright a red interior and there's even a small market inside that diners can browse. Service is quick and you pay at the counter.

I am Crystal Mall regular and have ordered takeout from Cambie before and it did not disappoint. Freshly made biangbiang noodles in a spicy beef and tomato sauce. The noodles are firm and huge! Always a fan favourite

Been for lunches at Old Xian's Food Noodle & Mart, which specializes in hand pulled noodles. They have 4 other locations (Richmond, Burnaby, Coquitlam). Market area has snacks, frozen meats, bento rice boxes and onigiri. Most dishes are $12.99 to $16.99. Staff ask for spice levels; went with medium. - Stewed pork Xian burger ($6.99) - pork was a touch dry, flatbread had a nice crunch - Black pepper & chicken mushroom Xian burger ($8.99) - standard fare - Xian cold noodle ($8.99) - excellent, refreshing - Spicy & sour pork noodle in soup ($14.99) - broth was okay. Liked the fungus, pork was slightly dry - Xian hand-pulled noodle with hot spicy oil ($13.99) - biang biang noodles were plentiful, toothsome bite - Tomato & egg with noodle ($14.99) - Hot spicy oil on tomato, egg & sour pork ($14.99) - Spicy rice noodle ($12.99) - not much ingredients, plain broth

This place has such a cute vibe! It's half sit and eat in restaurant, half grab and go market. The ambiance was quite modern for a noodle shop. Besides the ambiance, the food here is good value and delicious. You get a decent sized portion for the price! I highly recommend the Xian cold noodles! The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is the service. The staff are friendly but when we went, they seemed preoccupied trying to serve other dine in guests and manage the till by themselves. Service ended up being quite slow (reasonable when understaffed) Would definitely come back!

There are a number of tables available and also has a steady number of take out orders happening. Came on an early Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. Walked by after noon and it was quite busy. Servers came to fill your water glass quite often. Wait time for food was a bit long. It took maybe about 10-15 mins for food to arrive. The lamb stew broth was clear and not overly salty. There was a fair amount of lamb pieces coupled with a small amount of vermicelli noodles. The stewed Pork burger was ok. Meat was a bit salty for me but the crust was light, crunchy & not messy to eat. My date really liked the cumin Lamb Fried noodles. The pulled noodles were very long. I could have used a pair of scissors to cut them for easier eating. I did like all the red inside and the presence of a mini food mart inside. Some tasty Asian candy/snacks/drinks can be purchased along with some varieties of meat. Overall a family friendly atmosphere. Didn't hate it. Didn't love it.

This restaurant is located in Richmond. The inside seats about 30 customers and the service here is reasonably fast. In terms of price, they are what you would expect for fast-casual dining. Most dishes are between $15 to $30. I find their food to be a bit bland. Nothing really stands out, but nothing is terribly bad either. It's just one of those places where you eat to fill up and then forget about it.

Old Xian's Food have locations in Richmond, Coquitlam, Burnaby and now in Vancouver. They took over a space that has been empty for many years so it's a nice addition back to Cambie Street. Offering affordable and quick noodle/rice dishes, snack foods, drinks and Xian Burgers (flatbread with meat stuffing). They also have a convenient section for snacks, drinks and take outs. My friend and I came for a late-night dinner. We were seated immediately and offered a menu. We shared the S2 Stewed lamb noodle in soup (it was ok, as the lamb was not tender enough, and soup not as flavourful) and N2 Hot spicy oil on braised beef noodles (our favourite! The bowl was huge, noodles perfectly cooked and the spice at mild suited us). The atmosphere was clean & kitschy and service was friendly & welcoming. Looking forward to my next visit.

So happy to have a hand pulled noodle restaurant near where I live, especially an outpost of Old Xian. I was pretty sad when Corner 23 closed, but love that there's another fast casual chinese dining spot in its place. Interior is minimal with its signature red accents and cute biang biang noodle character appearing throughout. We got the green onion pancake, shredded potato, chongqing noodle, cumin beef biang biang noodles, and fried glutinous mochi with brown sugar. Really enjoyed their shredded potato 土豆絲 -- not the style that's tart and heavy on the vinegar, but really well executed and a huge portion at $7. Green onion pancake 蔥油餅 I would probably pass on next time. The cumin beef noodles 孜然牛肉麵 were a hefty size as well. My partner didn't enjoy them that much because he felt they were missing a bit of spice, and the house made chilli oil wasn't really that spicy. We did agree that the noodles were perfectly cooked with a nice al dente texture. It was my first time trying Chongqing noodles 重慶小面, and we both agreed that they were the sleeper hit. Ground pork in a salty, spicy sauce over a fragrant broth, with crunchy peanuts and cilantro that coated the thin noodles perfectly - this was delicious, albeit rich. Lastly, the fried glutinous mochi with brown sugar 手工紅糖糍粑 were delicious and very generously portioned. I actually almost wish they offered it in a half size because I was already so full from the rest of the carb heavy meal. The service here is super helpful and efficient. Our server was really attentive and came over regularly to check on us or fill our water glasses. For all the food we ordered, our total came to $65 including tax and tips, and we had three containers of leftovers as well. In this economy, you really can't beat that value. I'll be back!

Big portion, very filling! The noodles were good but not the best handmade I've had. The beef was on the harder side but lots of pieces and plenty of veggies too. I also liked the mini mart with Asian snacks and drinks.

First time here. Came to try the Dumplings and the Beef Noodle…read more The Dumplings were pretty good but not as impressive as my Chinese neighbour makes them but thats my bias. The Beef Noodle soup was ok but not as flavourful as Red Beef for example. It lacked a bit of kick. The meat was a little too soft for my taste but its very personal. I did see some other very interesting dishes so I will be back to try those and give a better verdict. Service was good and its a very big place despite what it looks like on the outside.

We ate what would normally be a $100-$125 US meal for under $80 US. It was awesome. We got so much food - it was ridiculous. We ate quite a bit and saved the rest for leftovers. The servers were super nice and sweet. Very family friendly. We found our new go-to spot in Vancouver, B.C. Also, if you give it a little time the parking isn't too bad. Dinasty also stays open a little later than most restaurants in town, making this a viable option when in a pinch for food but running late in the day. Will absolutely go back next time in town. Thanks for having us. Comparable to Dough Zone or Din Tai Fung, somewhere right in between with quality and cost. Everything was yummy.

However, what truly disappointed me was the poor service. Even though the restaurant was not busy, the dishes were served very slowly. The first 2 dishes came out fast, but the later 2 dishes came out after 45 min. When we asked for additional rice and water, we had to wait an unusually long time. Throughout the meal, we felt neglected. It was hard not to feel that the level of service was noticeably indifferent, possibly because we did not order any high-priced seafood or premium dishes. For a restaurant at this price point, the service was simply unacceptable. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I would not return and would not recommend it.
