Every time I visit I usually love getting the cashew chicken, especially the lunch portion, since it's a great value and has some healthy vegetables a part of the meal. This time I got it I noticed it was too sweet. So I don't know if they changed it, it's an off day, or I'm just now noticing it, but that definitely kills the "healthy" factor it used to have. It doesn't need sugar at all, I like it way better as a savory dish than a sweet dish. So please consider taking the sugar out! Mostly normal Chinese menu, so you can get most anything you'd get at a typical Chinese place. They have white rice and fried rice as sides, and their egg rolls are tasty too. If you're use to big city Chinatown quality Chinese food you won't find that in the Lake Geneva area. However if you have a taste for decent Chinese food without having to drive to Madison, Milwaukee or Chicago, Dragon City will satisfy those cravings. We usually order the lunch specials which are reasonably priced. I've tried a few things like Kung Pao Chicken and some shrimp dishes and have no complaints. I would just like to say that, this restaurant is for both locals and tourists of lake Geneva who love Asian cuisine and don't want to pay too much money or drive an hour to the closes buffet. I've always come here as a kid whenever me and my family need something to eat and my mom is not picky, over all this is an amazing spot for a good meal and experience. read more

My husband stopped in Dragon City for a quick lunch. The space is small, basically a carry out place with a few tables. First of all, no hot tea we could order. What Chinese restaurant does not offer any kind of tea? We ordered wonton egg drop soup, the meat in the wonton was not fresh and the dough is way too thick. The sweet and sour shrimp came with layers of fried dough over small shrimp, and seafood delight had spoiled (literally stinky) pieces in it. My family was in Lake Geneva on. Meet in the Middle trip. I personally got the General Tso Chicken and it was fantastic. You can't go wrong. My wife got the Sweet and Sour Chicken and that was good as well. The veggie Lomein was good. I can't speak for the rest of the family but I know not 1 person was disappointed. There was a phenomenal little Chinese place I loved when I lived in Waterford. I've been searching for a replacement for a few years and was ecstatic when this place opened. They have great egg rolls and crab ragoon. Entrees seem a little too heavy on the veggies though it seems they have tamed that down a little since opening. My favorite is the Kung Pao Beef. Great flavor and plenty of sauce on everything I've ordered. This is a new Chinese staple for me....way better than the "other" Chinese restaurant in LG. read more

This is definitely the best Chinese food in Lake Geneva, and I've been to them all. Went there to grab some lunch to go a few days ago. The lady at the counter was friendly, food came out hot and fast. We ordered 2 lunch specials and got wonton soup, sesame chicken, chicken lo mein, and pork fried rice. Everything was fresh and Not super greasy like a lot of places. I wasn't a fan of the filling in the wonton, but they were cooked well and the broth was tasty. Be aware, this place is Small and they only offer cans of soda to drink. But I always get Chinese to go so that doesn't bother me. read more

What are the five star review people thinking? Let's start with the phone call I made... Called to see if they can accommodate us and lady who picked up, spoke no English. That should have been the sign about the service but we thought the food would be authentic and it was. No complaints about the food but the service was horrendous. The lady did not have lemons for the water and the water tasted like it was from the dishwasher. I don't understand why people can't serve with a smile, not that hard. We are new to the area. I have to say this is the best Chinese food I've had in a long time. I had the hot and spicy shredded chicken. The chicken was white meat and delicious. The peas, green peppers, onion and celery were cooked perfectly. The pork fried rice was amazing. My husband had the general tso. His also was better than most we have had. Dragon City has earned the dubious distinction as the WORST Chinese resturant we've dined at. We've eaten there on several occasions since it opened and over time, the food and service have steadily gone downhill. The last time we ate there (December 2011), we were 'greeted' by a very apathetic young lady who acted like she'd rather be anywhere else than working the front counter at Dragon City. When we asked for hot tea with our meal, she told us that they didn't have tea. NOW, COME ON!! WHAT Chinese resturant doesn't serve hot tea??? Even though the place wasn't very busy - we were the only couple there waiting to be served - it took over 30 minutes to get our food. The wait would have been at least tolerable if we would have had some hot tea to sip (SIGH).. Finally, the apathetic order-taker (doubling as an apathetic waitress) plopped our meals on the table complete with paper plates and plastic utensils. She didn't as much as utter an "enjoy your meal", let alone apologize for the long wait. Our meal was NOT worth the wait. To say it was mediocre would even be a stretch. There are several nice Chinese resturants in Lake Geneva and surrounding areas. Seek them out and avoid this one. read more

We will be the first to admit that Dragon City is hit or miss. There are days where the food is not so great. I do not know if they have different cooks certain days, but most of the time its spot on. That being said it is still our favorite place to get chinese. They rarely take too long to get us our food and the price is not bad. They are always very friendly, difficult to understand sometimes, but friendly. I love the egg rolls, but I have yet to meet and egg roll I didn't like. My husband is fond of their crab rangoon and their lo mein. We almost always get the General Tao's which is usually perfect. Dragon City is the only take out place that I cannot eat their fried rice as leftovers. It is great when you get it, but just tastes weird the next day. So make sure to eat it first! read more

Best Chinese Restaurant I have found in the lakes area. The sodium content isn't through the roof. Not a lot of filler (carrots, celery, waterchestnuts, etc.) Best Hot and Sour Soup (doesn't have overwhelming taste of vinegar like everybody else's) Shrimp Toast rocks! Curry Chicken w/ Onions was awesome. I would have licked the plate if I dared. Has Sriracha sauce on the tables, but uses cheap sweet n sour packets (labeled "duck sauce", but no one's perfect). Large number of Asian customers coming in for food is a pretty good sign I would say. Will keep coming back to try my favorites till I have completed the list. Hubs and I wanted our usual favorites that we normally get in Whitewater but thought we'd give it a go at the new place in Lake Geneva. We spent $43 for food that was so substandard we threw it away. THEY DO NOT USE BEAN SPROUTS which I love in my fried rice. Hubs Moo Shu Pork was 80% cabbage and they generously gave him about 2 tablespoons of plum sauce on the side. The wonton egg drop soup had no flavor whatsoever. It was a thin pale yellow liquid and the wontons were not cooked all the way through so the dough was tough and the meat was mushy. Crab Rangoon had no crab taste and they were not crispy at all. Sweet and sour chicken tasted as if they used cooked chicken breasts and just breaded and fried it to keep it from going to waste. It was way overcooked and dry as the Sahara. The vegetable Mei Fun was made with spaghetti noodles instead of rice noodles and included 3 pea pods and 2 pieces of broccoli. The rest was green onion tops and raw carrots. We ended up eating a frozen pizza for our 10th anniversary dinner. When we lodged a complaint to the owner we were told, "WE COOK OUR FOOD GOOD". read more
