Beef Maki (only showing less than half an order)

I have always loved Moy's egg rolls because of the hint of peanut butter in them. We visited recently and had to try them for old-time's sake. The egg rolls seemed slightly smaller, had the same inside goodness, but the outside wrapper seemed "tougher." Times change, so too did Moy's egg roll wrappers... The Beef Maki skewers were tasty as were the crab rangoons.

We've been missing classic Chinese so this was a treat. We had Moy's fried rice and an order of broccoli chicken. Can't wait to return and try other items.

I ordered the Crab Rangoon and there was no crab in it ..all there I found was what appeared to be warm cream cheese like filling, no crab taste whatsoever. Don't waste your money

My husband took me here 28 years ago when we first started dating. We have long since moved away but come here every time we are in the area. Driving 684 miles in anticipation of a great meal, we were not disappointed. We always order the same items since we don't eat here often. Hong Sue chicken, egg rolls and soup. The chicken dish is loaded with fresh vegetables in a delicate sauce. The white meat chicken is not greasy and the batter is light. I had chicken rice soup that had enough chicken for a pot of soup, hubby had egg drop and we both loved it. The egg rolls have that peanut butter taste I long for and are crispy and delicious. I was sad when it was over but we left happily with another wonderful memory of Moy's delicious food, excellent service and warm ambiance. Lots of street parking. Beer , wine and cocktails.

I was at first a little hesitant to try Moy's again after all the recent negative reviews, but I have to say it was very good. I did carryout and everything was very good. Sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken and beef fried rice. All excellent. The egg rolls were very good as well. They have a unique taste that is very good. I'll be back

When I lived in Chicago there were places that had peanut butter egg rolls, a traditional pork egg roll just with a little peanut butter for a nice taste. I found one place in Brookfield that was pretty good but they closed so my search was back on. Today I Stopped by for lunch after looking at the lunch specials menu only to be disappointed by my server, no lunch specials on the weekends I'm told so I show her their web site which doesn't state no lunch specials on weekends and she refused to give me the anything from that menu and I had to pick something off the menu in front of me, I almost walked out at that point. I ordered the combination appetizer for two for a sampling of various items. The place was nice and clean looking with multiple dining rooms and a bar on the upper level, my dining room had a nice big window over looking the square. While waiting for my order I was brought a plate, before the server set it down I refused it, I said the plate has left over noodles on it, it's a dirty plate and she brought me a clean one, Ray Charles could have seen that the plate was dirty from across the room. That combination appetizer had a nice presentation because it was on a rotating wooden plater with a mini grill fired up in the center. I started with the egg roll and JACK POT it was the the peanut butter kind that I have been searching for and just hit the spot. The Bali-miki was next and very good, it's like a char/teriyaki beef skewers that were tender/juicy with a little pink left in them. The crab Rangoon was next and also very good. The bbq ribs were next and not over cooked with that nice chew that I like, they are not the red Chinese Bbq kind. The Cantonese fried shrimp were next and and my favorite by far with a fresh gulf shrimp taste that surprised me. If their online menu was not miss leading that got me to do the 1-1/2 hour drive and the dirty plate issue, this would have been a solid 4 stars because my food was really good. I'm going to definitely stop back and try some more of the menu and see if I can bring the stars up.

Egg roll awful. Like minced up mush. Up all night sick. Something not right. Heavy gravy on all.

Great American Chinese, a total throwback to the 80s. I'd for sure get this place again. Everything was great.

Food is consistently very good but super pricey. What can I say, I keep going back. I have been dining here for 25 years.

Prices were fair with what everyone was charging in the area. The dance floor is small but everyone in the place was still having a good time regardless and I was dancing as well. The DJ was great and paid great music. I was there on a Julian Jumping Perez day with DJ Q. I didn't order food, but the food is connected to the restaurant in the same area which based on reviews looked great even though I never tried the food. Also, just from the looks out the banquet hall seems large enough to which is also connected which is convenient if you wanted to host like a wedding.

Having never been bere, I planned my husband's birthday party at VLounge on a Saturday when Julian…read moreJumpin Perez was DJ'ing for "Old School Saturday". I called and spoke to with Frank and he was kind enough to reluctantly reserve a couple tables for us, only if I promised to have at least 20 people. He informed me he would charge me if I didn't show with 20 people, which I understood because after all, he could have reserved those tables for other parties and he already had a large party booked for the bar. I started to get nervous about a week before after reading many negative reviews about the place, including reviews stating people were discriminated against, forced to leave, had horrible service from their waitress, etc. I couldn't be happier with the way the night turned out and the way in which we were treated. When we arrived, there was a coat check available and the lobby was beautiful! I was very impressed with the ambience and decor. Our group included many people from diverse backgrounds including black, white, Asian, etc. I didn't feel discriminated against at all and our waitress, although extremely busy, was always checking on us and took care of our needs. She recommended some amazing drinks and despite what other reviews stated, was happy to keep separate tabs for people in our group. One of the men working that night bought my husband a drink for his birthday and at one point the DJ announced everyone's birthdays and the staff brought out a large piece of cake for each of the people there who were celebrating their birthday. I expected an older crowd since I read that VLounge attracted older people but that's what we were looking for since we are not as young as we used to be and would stick out like a sore thumb at any club, yet still wanted a sort of club experience. The crowd was a bit older than I even expected but everyone was nice and there to have a good time. We didn't experience anyone being rude and the dance floor was poppin'! I was pleasantly surprised! I have nothing but good things to say. The drinks were priced reasonably with a good amount of alcohol in them. The calamari was absolutely amazing! The ranch dressing, which one reviewer stated was disgusting, was one of the best I've had. I was happy they actually had ranch dressing because most Italian places do not have ranch. You can tell it's homemade, too and it was the perfect dipping sauce for their calamari. The calamari came out nice and hot and crispy and there were no ro rubbery pieces or weird looking pieces (like usual) that nobody wants to eat and are just left on the plate as waste. The place was PACKED, so of course our server was not able to keep up with the empty glasses and plates on our table but that did not impact our night in any way. I read one negative review stating that the empties were not removed from the table fast enough. I think sometimes people just look for something to complain about because it was completely understandable, considering the amount of people our waitress was serving and how hard it was to move around in the room. The bathrooms were clean but at one point in the night, there was a girl in the stall next to mine throwing up and it was all over the floor, including splashing all the way over into my stall and onto my shoes. It was pretty disgusting but when I exited the stall, I was happy to see staff in the restroom trying to take care of the situation. I believe many of the negative reviews I previously read were unfortunately from people who wanted to come for the free entertainment and were too cheap to spend any money on drinks or food or were not dressed appropriately. Furthermore, any reviewer claiming discrimination...it is my opinion that the reviewer must have been rude or had to have done something to warrant a negative response from the employee. I do not feel any if the employees were discrimanatory. Either that or it was an isolated situation and thankfully, we didn't have that experience! I do wish the staff had nametags so I could have known my server's name or I could have met Frank, considering I was speaking to him on and off the few weeks prior to our event. It also would've been nice to know the gentleman's name who was working the room when we were there and interacting with our group, since he was extremely cordial and professional. All of our guests told us what a fun time they had and what a nice place VLounge was. We don't get out much these days due to our children being young but I do hope we get a chance to go back! I urge you to give VLounge a chance and check it out for yourself! You won't be disappointed!
