don't even bother to start off, no one was in there besides the 2 employees sitting in the dining area. we had a booth and the table was way over to one side to where even sitting on the edge of the seat was too far. the water had an odd taste. so after finishing my food i was a bit worried to take a sip. the food felt like it was microwaved or something. i got sesame chicken but wish i got like edamame or something. my dish and was put on the edge of the table along with my rice and the opposite side of the table. the rice had to have been minute made rice or something. everything was just off. the place feels like one of those shows where they try and prank u with how bad everything is. but the crazy thing is, it's not a prank. just stay away. the good reviews are either fake or paid for. read more

The place is darker with a relaxing atmosphere. The simple decorations are elegant and pleasing to the eyes. Definitely a good place to relax or for a date. As for the food - this was by far one of tastiest Asian meals I had. Only one place in Washington DC compares to it. My husband had Kung Pao Chicken for lunch and I had the Eel Bento Box. No sushi before 4 pm. We'll come back and would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Exceptional Orange Chicken! Stopped in Rise for lunch today and had an excellent experience. Tried the $7.99 Orange Chicken lunch special which included soup or egg roll or crab rangoon and rice. I'm a lover of hot sour soup so I had to try that. The soup was lighter than what other restaurants serve, yet pungent and peppery enough for me to eat the free refill on the soup. Then the orange chicken plate came out. The chicken was cut thin so each piece had a nice crunch. The orange sauce was honestly the best I've ever had! After finishing my meal, Roy, my waiter and the owner's son went through the menu so I could plan what next to try. They brought out the dinner picture menu and we went over most dishes. The Honey Walnut Shrimps and the Lemon Butter Seared Scallops looked so amazing that I'm already hungry for what I'll have next time. read more

We are so lucky to have this restaurant In Walworth. Family owned and operated and they know how to offer great Asian dishes. I tried the Kung Pao to validate the quality and it was very good. I debated leaving a review for this place for quite a while, but then decided to leave one so someone could be saved from the experience I had. My boyfriend and I went in for dinner, and the restaurant was empty, although getting a handful of takeout orders. We both got bento boxes, and an additional spicy tuna roll to split. When I tell you that the food was bad - I mean literally the worst Asian food I've had in my life. The sushi rolls, although were stated "freshly made", were 100% from the Daniel's grocery store next door (we went there after to get real food to eat and noticed the rolls look exactly the same, the seaweed salad is probably from there too). The eggrolls were for sure factory made and frozen, then bought in bulk and re-fried. The meat was so chewy we ended up spitting it out. The miso was fine, so was the tea, but that's kinda hard to mess up. For the soy sauce dishes we were given metal decorative soap dishes that had metal flaking off into the food. The waiter brought out dinner for himself and tried to sit down with us and eat? We told him we'd like to sit alone, so he sat at the table next to us and listened in to our conversation the whole time and interjected? The fried rice was cold white rice that was clumped up with a little bit of soy sauce drizzled on top. It was so bizarre, we wanted good sushi as we eat it often, and I felt like I was being punk'd the whole time I was here. I could not recommend this place less. Also, I've looked at the reviews on yelp and one is clearly from the owner/family of - and his other reviews are just 1 star reviews of other Asian restaurants in the area? We found out about this restaurant at a great time, covid and shortage of really GOOD Chinese/Japanese food in this area. We used to drive to Elkhorn to Moys, which is not like it used to be at all. So very happy with Rise. Food was delivered perfectly, entree piping hot, fresh and very tasty. We have ordered 2 times now. I am so happy this restaurant exists in our small community. The quality of the food is tremendous. The wontons have to be given a try, the best! The restaurant is decorated with class as is everything about Rise. Very good sushi at reasonable prices. You can tell the food was cooked well and with quality ingredients.

Tried them for the first time Friday. Although I ordered online with the link from their website, they managed to get two of the main entree items wrong. Avoid ordering the sushi, it was subpar at best, pre-made and maybe a day old. The rest of the meal was alright even though two out of the three entrees I ordered were wrong. The food is really great here. The people are very nice people and take care of anybody the best they can. I recommend the sesame chicken as when I tasted it I was in delight. They keep everything clean here very good. Also recommend the Chicken egg roll very good. Nothing is too spicy unless asked for. They also love talking to their customers with a warm greeting so be aware of that. Overall best experience in Walworth I recommend this Chinese place there. read more
