    Orange Chicken Lunch Special
    Wes S.

Exceptional Orange Chicken! Stopped in Rise for lunch today and had an excellent experience. Tried the $7.99 Orange Chicken lunch special which included soup or egg roll or crab rangoon and rice. I'm a lover of hot sour soup so I had to try that. The soup was lighter than what other restaurants serve, yet pungent and peppery enough for me to eat the free refill on the soup. Then the orange chicken plate came out. The chicken was cut thin so each piece had a nice crunch. The orange sauce was honestly the best I've ever had! After finishing my meal, Roy, my waiter and the owner's son went through the menu so I could plan what next to try. They brought out the dinner picture menu and we went over most dishes. The Honey Walnut Shrimps and the Lemon Butter Seared Scallops looked so amazing that I'm already hungry for what I'll have next time.

The food and the service is superior, and the room is just extraordinary, and the waiters provide excellent service.

Do yourself a favor and try Rise out. We sampled a few different rolls and the noodles, loved it!

We've been wanting to try this place for a while and if we could give it a 4 stars we would but true pho is served with bean sprouts, basil, and jalapeño on the side to mix in. We had both the chicken and beef pho and would recommend the chicken when it comes to these dishes. The gyozas were ok, but wouldn't order again. We will come back to try the ramen next (it looked great too)

This is a small but great place across from Tuscan in Lake Geneva. We were seated right away and…read moreservice was good, except the jalapeño margarita I ordered came in a small glass instead of the margarita glass I saw in the pictures. I asked the waitress and she said it was the same amount. That was disappointing, but ok. My daughter ordered ramen with pork belly and she loved it. I ordered the steak (tenderloin medallions) and chicken hibachi which came with rice and vegetables and a salad, but I wasn't served the salad. When I asked, the waitress brought it out. Again ok, but I would have preferred it before my entree. The waitress offered a to go box! I told her I wanted it so I was going to eat it. It was good and I liked the ginger dressing. Despite the mishaps, the food was excellent. I'm glad we arrived when we did because by the time we were done every table was filled. I'm glad we found this place and we will try again. I actually want to try the lava chicken next time. It looked and sounded good. Will add this place to our list for future Lake Geneva trips.

This place honestly doesn't deserve a two star rating, but I feel bad as the staff was really…read morefriendly and the interior of the restaurant was fine and they had a little robot carrying to-go orders to the front, so that was cool. However, the food was very bad. We ordered pad thai with tofu, and the dish that was brought out was about 75% massive, tasteless chunks of tofu. What few noodles could be found underneath all the tofu were mixed with chopped onion, diminishing their ratio even further. There was a tiny pile of about 1/2 tsp of ground peanuts added in one corner of the plate. The sauce tasted sour and burnt. One of the worst pad thai variations I've had in a long time. Still.. I wouldn't fault them just for having bad food, but within an hour of leaving the restaurant, both the spouse and I were having an upset stomach, and ended up not being able to finish our drive home without having to pull over and find a public restroom. I would chalk it up to coincidence, but my spouse revealed that when she used the restroom, there were prominent signs indicating that no one is allowed to flush any sort of toilet paper down the toilet, and instead has to put them in open bins sitting in each stall next to the toilet. Each stall in the restroom had open trash cans filled with used toilet paper full of fecal matter, which is pretty horrifying to think of in a restaurant serving food in a first world country. My spouse brought home her leftovers and heated up them the next morning and within a half hour of eating them, was already having an upset stomach again which endured for the remainder of the day. We would definitely not eat here again, and it seems like the health department probably needs to pay this place a visit.

We were celebrating a birthday and they brought the birthday boy a Moon pie with chocolate sauce and a sparkler. It was very sweet of them to l celebrate with us. A couple of folks in our party had a few drinks. They also said those were good. It said karaoke, but no one was doing karaoke and we were so busy eating, we forgot to ask about it. Service was very good. The wait staff checked in on us often. I really loved that the tables had a little drawer that had all the utensils and napkins that we would need throughout the dinner. Fun place to have a dinner with friends.

Our group shared the following: popcorn chicken, stir-fried chicken gizzards, fried eggs with Spam, corn cheese, truffle French fries, seafood pancake, bossam (pork belly, shrimp paste, lettuce wrap), rose tteokbokki, steamed egg souffle with cheese, spam and kimchi fried rice, station noodles (beef broth, veggies), and strawberry bingsoo. My favorite of the night was the rose tteokbokki. The tteokbokki was perfectly chewy and I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. The popcorn chicken was also good and paired well with the sauce it came with. The bossam was on the dry side and the seafood pancake was pretty standard. The fries were good but wouldn't pay $10 for a basket of fries if we came back next time. The corn cheese was also good but the plate was small. There was a call button at each table which was convenient. Food came out individually as it was ready instead of all at once which was to be expected for our party size.
