Went to Kira for lunch on a Monday around noon. We were seated right away and the service was friendly and fast. The food was fine. We ordered from the "diet menu" section and got the sauce and rice on the side. I like that they have healthier options on the menu! I'm always pleasantly surprised by Kira's wide variety of Asian dishes, all well-prepared, delicious, and served quickly. There's a nice, comfortable seating area, and usually a line of folks picking up orders. This place is hopping, and I've never had to wait long. The Chinese menu is extensive with chef's specials and a good range of appetizers, beef, pork, shrimp, etc. (the shrimp are giant). And then you see the Japanese influence in Chinese dishes, with tempura-frying techniques. Egg rolls are delicious (although I would love it if they had hot mustard). There is an extensive sushi menu. The salmon sashimi is buttery and delicious, and the special rolls are really outstanding (I love the spicy Kira Roll and the Burlington Roll. And then, you can also get excellent Pad Thai. I love being able to get a mix of Asian cuisines in one meal. read more

I found myself craving the sweet and sour soup: the heat and mushroom medley are a savory experience. My husband loves the sushi and it is always beautiful! Sake is not on the menu but they have it. I love their pad thai noodles, but I have to ask for spice oil for it. The kung pao chicken is also quite tasty. Good service and a pretty fish tank to see. Lots of people got takeout while we were there but we come from out of town as a treat so always dine in. Wish we were more local so we could get it more often! read more

Very very pleased! Often the steamed vegetables with chicken is such an afterthought dish. This was not. Chicken was very good and the sauce excellent. In fact I ate a bit too much of it than what I should have. My husband's beef with mushrooms was also good. The dining room was warm, but the person who served us was very friendly and nice. Kira's is our newest go to for Sushi. The food is amazing and beautifully presented. We usually end up here at least once a week. The Chinese entrees are excellent as well. They also serve a wonderful green salad with a ginger dressing. I never thought I'd order salad at a Chinese restaurant, but I do here. It one of the options at lunch but it's so good that I order it when we come in for dinner! The service is always good despite them having problems hiring enough staff. Everyone there is always very pleasant. They even put up with my shock and disbelief when I opened a fortune cookie and found no fortune! Great Chinese food! My family ordered many different dishes and they were all delicious. Plus they have HUGE portions! It is definitely worth the money. We got orange chicken, vegetable and shrimp tempura, sushi, fried rice, and potstickers! I loved the spicy tuna on the sushi! The service is great. Super service. Ordered shrimp tempura roll. Liked it so much, I decided to get some to go. Pot stickers awesome. General Tso's very good. House fried rice very good. I was in Wisconsin for work and my coworker and I wanted to eat something close to the our hotel. We saw this restaurant on yelp and decided to check it out. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and the inside looks like a typical strip mall restaurant. The service was great and the waitresses were really attentive. I ended up ordering the shrimp and scallops with the brown sauce. Once I tasted everything I was surprised by how good everything tastes! Everything was tasty, the scallops were nice and big, the shrimp was flavorful. I don't know what was in the brown sauce but it was amazing. I wasn't expecting so much flavor from a strip mall restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised and happy because your girl was hungry. The next time I'm in Wisconsin I'll have to stop by. read more

The restaurant remains takeout only, which is fine with me. I ordered on-line which was super easy, and it was ready when stated. I asked for a special request- lite oil and spicy. My request was written on the lid and that is how the food was prepared. My Chicken with broccoli was delicious and plentiful. I LOVE the steamed dumplings. Some of the best I have had. As a nice bonus, your entree comes with a soup. I chose the Miso- really good. This is always one of my stops when I am in town for business. read more

Didn't expect that Sushi in Burlington would be any good. Pleasantly surprised. Went with a few work friends after they spoke highly about it and had to try it out. Egg roll was crispy and frankly, one of the best rolls I've had in a while. Not greasy but perfectly crispy with just the right amount of stuff inside. The spicy tuna roll was great. Adequately long and filling with a cool crunch to it. Service was quick and friendly. Place is in a strip mall but don't let this fool you. Clean too. Ill be back...with more friends. read more

Online order. Was told our food would be ready by 5:45pm. Arrive at 5:45 & told they need 15 more minutes. No problem, we could see they were busy. We waited patiently. At 6pm we are told 10 more minutes. Okay, a little ridiculous but again, they were busy. Come 6:45pm and we finally get our food. 1 hour PAST our original pick-up time. Obviously we are very upset at this point. The girl working the takeout counter was rude and didn't care to listen when I told her I was unhappy with the service, she just turned her back mid conversation and walked away. We like going to this place when in the area with friends! I really like the Manhattan roll. The miso soup didn't taste like miso soup I have had before I didn't find it pleasant. I love the fact that you can get good sushi and other dishes. The pad Thai, sesame chicken and general tso chicken are great dishes to have here! Wow - the food was both delicious and abundant! It arrived quickly, and hot, and the servers (and chef!) had the orders correct! It's a small place in a strip mall, so from the outside it doesn't look like anything special - but the menu is huge, and if our sampling represents the full array of choices, we'll be there frequently! This is my first time here. Two thumbs up on the egg rolls, they were perfectly crispy on the outside and the cabbage was still fresh and not wilted or over cooked. Pass on the wonton soup as the broth had little to no flavor. Main course: Mongolian Beef and Chicken Pad Thai Beef dish was perfection with the tender beef and soft yet crunchy onions. Pass on the Pad Thai. The deconstructed plating made it odd and try sprinkling the crushed peanuts. The worst part is the tofu. The inside was too wet and texture was off. Sushi is ok, it hits the spot. The portions are pretty good, but the flavor is not perfect. Not too fishy, but kind of suspicious texture that's almost dry. The wonton soup is abysmal and gave me diarrhea. I will still eat here, unless I get significant food poisoning. I don't think there are other options for sushi. Located in the Pine Street strip mall, Kira is a "semi new" restaurant. I've been here on two occasions now and it doesn't disappoint. I've had the wonton soup, which is very delicious. The noodles are authentic and the sauces are phenomenal! I'm not a big sushi fan, but from what I've heard and seen, their sushi is very popular and delicious. I highly recommend the General Tso chicken, and if you like it hot, the curry chicken is also a winner. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff is very courteous! read more

Sashimi was the best part. Again I had to wrestle the fish into my mouth. The rolls where small AF. I felt like a second grader... no offense second graders! Paid full price for premium rolls and ended up with miniature rolls. They where good, had to double the roll order which put the tab well over a hundo. The small rolls at regular prices is a low blow. For that I can't say I would go out of my way to brag about this place. The service was actually really good, food was really good, drinks came quickly, but the rolls are skinny. No reason for that. read more

A family favorite! Our 4 and 6 year olds like to split a side of lo main noodles. The sushi has never disappointed, no matter which roll I try they are fantastic. The House Combo Lo Mein is the household favorite; enough for 2 or lunch and dinner! I've never had Sweet and Sour soup anywhere else so I have nothing to compare it to, but I absolutely love Kira's. We've been here quite a few times, and have the same experience each time. The sushi is ok, we normally order a few rolls and haven't had any issues. But the "chinese" dishes, specifically the breaded chicken dishes, are just not good. They seem to use untrimmed meat, almost like scraps, that are chewy and fatty and just not good. It also takes so long to get meals, even when the restaurant isn't crowded. But the bigger issue this visit, and the reason we won't be back, was that when I was in the restroom, a waitress left the stall and immediately ducked out of the bathroom without washing her hands. That is such an issue in food service, but knowing that they will do that with a customer standing right there just left me shocked. read more

Stopped In for lunch today. Restaurant was clean and service was prompt. We were happy to see a lunch menu with reasonable prices. I ordered spicy tuna rolls and a tuna/avocado roll. There was zero spice to the spicy tuna roll and it was terribly dry. You could pick tempura chunks out of the roll which was odd. Typically spicy tuna rolls have some spicy mayo mixed in or on top or even red pepper mixed in the tuna. This was dry and flavorless. Husband ordered curry chicken and he said it was just ok. The biggest issue I had is that they do not bring your food out together. My husbands food sat for almost five minutes before they brought out my sushi. Meanwhile tables around us that ordered sushi after us were served theirs. When I questioned the waitress she informed me that it was not possible to get kitchen items and sushi near the same time since they are prepared in different places. So apparently the two chefs are unable to communicate and coordinate the timing. Aside from the sushi being subpar but obviously the best option for the area, the fact that they have zero regard for customers actually eating their meal together means we will never be back nor will we recommend this restaurant. read more

This was a great Asian food choice! My husband and I ordered a couple sushi rolls and the General Tao's chicken. Sushi rolls were great and fresh! General Tao's chicken was also delicious and not soggy! Only reason I didn't give 5/5 is because I waited 1.5 hours when the online order said 30 minutes for pickup. It was worth the wait though!
