No frills place, but comfortable and relaxing. Something you should expect from price and location. I have been here four times in the last eight months and have had Lisa the last three times. The first lady no longer works there; she was good. Lisa, however, is fantastic!! Lisa does a great job mixing deep tissue and relaxation. All of the knots I go in to get removed are and at times I drift off during the two hours. I have never heard a cross/unwanted exchange or asking for more money when customers are leaving. My husband treated us to a 90 minute couples massage and it was such a treat! I'm glad my friend told me about this place because it's wonderful and I will be back! I've been coming to this massage place for years -- not only myself, but I've sent countless friends and family members here, always recommending it based on my previous experiences. Unfortunately, after what happened recently, I'll never return, and I'll make sure others know exactly how they treat their loyal clients. I called to schedule a massage, and they told me to come in 10 minutes. I showed up exactly 10 minutes later -- the door was locked. I waited outside thinking maybe they were with a client. After waiting another 10 minutes in the dark I had to call again. Finally, someone shows up, opens the door, and tells me they're too busy to take me! No explanation, no apology, nothing but complete disregard for my time. This is absolutely unacceptable. It's not just unprofessional -- it's disrespectful. If this is how they treat someone who's been bringing them business for years, I can't imagine how they'd treat a new customer. I stopped by after work for 90 minutes massage, I paid $95 dollars. It was okay to be honest not bad. On my way out I tipped the old lady $25 dollars which I regretted immediately!! She chased me down to the door complaining yelling at me that $25 it was too little tip for 90 minute massage, I gave her $5 more since it was awkward because the place was packed!!! The staff here is pretty courteous! They answered the phone right away and answered any questions that I had. I tried the one hour foot massage and requested for hands and feet only. They had me lay down on a massage chair with a small throw on my body while I waited a brief five minutes. They brought out warm water to soak my feel for a few a minutes before the session began. They use plenty of oil and my skin felt so soft afterwards. There is very little talking during the massage and they try to be quiet. There is also instrumental soothing music playing in the background and the lights are dimmed. I only wished my masseuse checked in on pressure as I felt it was a bit too soft or light at times. They also offered me water at the end of my session. They take walk-ins and request for payment upfront before services are rendered. They also have a tipping suggestion ranging from $10-$20. We indulged in a one hour foot massage. FINALLY! If you're used to the foot massages then you'll notice that there is a difference--they no longer massage your face or temples...they do rub your head a bit when you're laying on your stomach; I attribute this to COVID and health regulations. Went into the room for my massage to undress and the door wouldn't shut, had about a one inch opening. I couldn't even get undressed fast enough to get under the sheets before the lady doing my massage barged in. This was not a relaxing massage as the lady exposed my bottom half more than any massage I've ever gotten and left me extremely uncomfortable. Mind you I could see that the door to my room was partially open while I was laying down because right as the lady asked me to flip over onto my back, I could hear her close the door before prompting me. The room I was in was in direct line with the entrance to the place. After it was over, I tipped $30 to split with my masseuse and my partners masseuse, which is over 20% tip for a $60 massage. And they looked at me like I had three heads? Very odd, uncomfortable, unprofessional and overall a very below average massage. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Massage was pretty standard, but there were just a whole list of things that were sketchy. A friend goes to this place for feet massages and swears by it, so we went as a group and that's when shit hit the fan. - We weren't told there was a card fee until my friend handed over his card to pay for 3 out of 5 of us. We had cash if that was the case. They went and charged his card for all 5 of us. We specifically said 3 of us were together and the other 2 are separate. - They over charged on a service and refused to give a refund of the difference because my friend had already paid. One of my female friends only wanted the 30min one spot for $30 for her feet. They charged for the 30min full body massage for $45. She's pregnant and didn't want anyone touching her body. They kept insisting on adding a back and neck massage. She left a tip for herself and some extra for her husband's masseuse when theirs were done, but she believed they just kept it because they asked the husband to tip as well. - One of the guys finished and he enjoyed his massage and the wife left a tip for his masseuse, but they begged him for more to were he caved in and he asked us for more cash. The female masseuse actually followed him outside to us and waited. - The other guy friend bought a full hour fully body for $60 and he said the woman originally only worked on his back and chest until he had to speak up about how he paid for a fully body and wanted his legs and arms massaged too. - I requested for a woman and they said it wasn't a problem. I got a guy. I couldn't fully relax hoping he didn't do anything inappropriate. He passed over my butt a couple times and that felt a little awkward, but that was it so I let it go. - My second female friend was made to wait for 30mins because they ran out of masseuses- okay sure, whatever. BUT she also wanted a female masseuse and only the guy that worked on me was available. She decided to change her mind and not go through with the body massage, but they kept trying to pressure her into one. She had an anxiety breakdown. I had to walk her out. They really thought offering a cup of water would fix it. They at least gave her husband a refund for her session without having to be prompted. *major eye roll* They kept rushing us and didn't give us time to figure things out and clear up mistakes that THEY made. 10/10 would not recommend this place. read more

__Update 2020 I have been going here for about 3 years and I do different physical activities than I did than. With that said my body can be kinda stiff and achy not painful just stiff. I have been slowly going back to body weight and cardio exercises and I need a massage therapist to help out with the kinks after some long sets. A 60m body massage runs about $60, a 90m body massage runs $90. A 90m combo foot and body, 45 m each is $65. All and all I do think there are better places, but Lan Lan is likable, just super kick back, friendly and professional. I always do females because I don't want a guy giving me a massage and that's perfectly ok. Why would I do something that makes me uncomfortable? To each their own. The rooms are dark, have hooks for clothes and accessories, towels, tissues and are somewhat private. Can sometimes overhear the staff over the tranquil and relaxing music. Clean covid friendly, temp gun, sign sheet call ahead since we are in the orange tier as of late the spaces fill up pretty quickly. read more

Inconsistent quality? I visited this place for 2 hours on June 30, 2020, and it was excellent! I don't know who the masseuse was, but it was my first massage after COVID and I really enjoyed every minute of it. Yesterday, I went back. And I was very disappointed. Every masseuse is different, I know. And one should indeed take every massage as a new experience (rather than expecting a repeat). I go to this place to get a massage when my body is in a lot of pain. I was in a terrible car accident in 2016 and my femur snapped and I have been affected ever since. Some days it's unbearable. I get some relief when I go here for massage for a few days and am grateful. Some masseuses are better then others I do know that the woman at the front is excellent and so is the guy that works there. Worth every penny. read more

The WORST massage experience I've ever had. I wouldn't even call it a massage, it was more just really hard uncomfortable rubbing and squeezing. All I could think was "that's gonna leave a bruise" I went in with my sister and we had an open area, they didn't ask us from the beginning if we wanted a male or female. They didn't even acknowledge that we even had an appointment when we went in. I had a male doing my "massage" the only male there. I honestly don't even think he was supposed to be giving massages. The rubbing was super hard and uncomfortable, more than most of the time it actually hurt. I wasn't able to enjoy any of it. The male that continued to rub my back FROM THE FRONT OF ME had his private area rubbing against the top of my head. I got up twice to look at me sister from the side of me to give her a signal that I wanted to leave. They covered our faces with towels so i wasn't even able to see what they were doing. The man continued to flip me over and undid my bra for me which I don't think that they're supposed to do? All I could hear is loud gum chewing and sniffling coming from the man that was doing the massage. My sister had a large older lady doing her massage who supposedly didn't speak English and actually burped in her face while doing her massage. And at one point even sat down on her bed side with her because she was too tired to stand. I really doubt that these people are to give massages and they were super unprofessional and made it super uncomfortable. I should've left in the beginning, but I didn't want to be confrontational or rude. Walking out the door one of the ladies grabbed my sister by her wrist and demanded her to tip. My sister pulled her wrist away and was going back-and-forth the lady at the front desk so I walked back in and told her no we are not going to tip it was very uncomfortable and she blamed us that it was our fault that we didn't tell them that we wanted to be massaged differently. But honestly, You being a spa should have asked ahead of time. I didn't continue to argue with her and we left. A police report is being made.. no woman or male should feel this uncomfortable during a massage and should not have anyone's private parts rubbing against their head during a professional massage and no one should be grabbed at any point for not tipping. We came here in a group of 4 for our girls birthday, we had a 2 PM appointment - at 1:55 pm we get a call pushing the appointment out 45 minutes. Thankfully Homegoods/TJMaxx is across the street. We returned promptly at 245, only for them not to be completely ready- we were supposed to all be in one room- but they had us all in private rooms- despite what was discussed. My massage was okay, the man didn't speak much English, he would just say "pressure". At the end of massage when he started to do head and face and completely rubbed off my eyebrows , after I informed him not to rub my face. That's my fault from over plucking in my teens I guess. After the massage they did not offer any of us water- which was weird and during the course of the massage the washer was off balance and clunking the whole time... oh and the neck pillow. Laying face down on that thing had my neck hurting more than when I got there...which wasn't fun. At the end when we regrouped- the woman at the front wanted us to pay $10 tip, on our cards again... could have just added that on in beginning, but whatever. read more

Get the $20 foot massage which includes a full body massage (however hard or soft you want). I have so many knots that I wanted a deep tissue pressure. I am now able to rotate my head without too much neck pain. It also includes a hot stone massage. Your masseuse may or may not speak English, but that's fine by me. Wear very baggy pants or shorts that can be rolled up to your thighs with ease. If you do the $20 massage, you will be in a room with other people. Ladies, wear a tank top and comfy bra that unhooks easily. When you are face down you will take off your shirt and unhook your bra. It's very dark inside, but it does take a certain comfort level. Tip at LEAST $10 cash. Today I tipped more than that because the whole thing was incredible. You will not find a better massage for this price. I moved to San José just under a year ago, and have been trying different massage places to find my go-to place. I tried the foot massage + full body massage to get a feel for this place. The foot massage was decent. The body massage was great. Loved the hot stones too. The only other time I did a hot stone affine at another place, they just placed the stones on my back, which I thought was a waste of time. Here they rub you down with the stone which felt great to me. Next time I'll get a longer full body massage! The place itself seems clean and no-frills. There's a common area with partitions and curtains which they used for the foot massage. And private rooms - mine again had a curtain rather than a door - for the full body massage. As others have mentioned, there is a surcharge to use a credit card. Some of the prices had gone up a little compared to the ones on the website. Will definitely be going back. read more

My boyfriend and I were looking for an inexpensive place to get a massage and came across Dragon Day Spa. We called 20 minutes beforehand and the lady on the phone was very nice and told us that we could come in. She even gave us directions in case we couldn't find the shop. They offer private room massages or regular massages in an open room with many massage beds. $35 for a 90-minute combo massage (foot + body). The man who massaged me was great, I didn't get his name but pressure and technique was consistent throughout. The massage itself was fantastic, it included face, head, and neck massage and the masseuse spent a longer time on my back and neck since that's where i have the most tension - I didn't even have to tell him! There's even a portion where they use hot stones at no extra cost. I was asked to take off my t-shirt while they massaged my back because they use oil. As a forewarning for the ladies, they will unhook your bra as well. They covered my hair with a towel which I liked because I didn't want the oil touching my hair. At the end of the massage, I felt super relaxed and I didn't feel like he missed a spot or wished that it was longer - 90 minutes was perfect! What they don't tell you is that for the 90 minutes they have a $10 minimum when tipping, and you can only tip in cash. Docking off a star for this policy because I feel like tip is always earned depending on the experience. But in this case I gladly tipped $10 because it was deserved. I've been going to this massage place for years & the people are usually great with their clients. the reason for my low review is the amount of noise. I can look past the microwave or washer/dryer on occasion but when you are having a loud conversation with someone at the front door- it's really hard to relax & enjoy the services you're paying for . maybe post a sign to use INDOOR VOICES , or at least be mindful & politely remind any loud customers entering the building to keep it down . we are paying to relax & enjoy the services . it would be an awesome experience if it wasn't interrupted by yelling . read more

I don't like all of the frills when it comes to a massage. I need my knots worked out with plenty of pressure. I want to be in and out in exactly an hour because sheesh, it was hard enough to find time for a massage in the first place! I don't care for the bath robes, fancy lockers, polite small talk, and tea. I love being able to book last minute! If that's you, this place is great. Decided to get a 30min massage while waiting for my dinner order. Did a walk in and had to wait about 5 min to get an available person to give me a massage. There were little children sitting in the front so no sits to sit in since I guess someone was getting a massage and left their kids there. Anyways massage time. It is a private room but with parlor doors so people can see everything in the room etc. lady came in and I told her that I wanted her to do a hard massage. Asked if she walked on a back and she said yes since I saw the rails from the ceiling. Anyways while she was massaging my back while walking it was very loud and disturbing. The railing on the ceiling would totally creek which was a bit annoying to me. When she was done walking in my back she did a hand/arm massage on my back. The massage felt good price was reasonable and I know I got my money's worth since the lady was sweating from giving me a massage and was telling another colleague of hers that she is tired now haha. read more

Minus 1 star for making me pay separately for my service and tip and charging me $1 each time because I didn't have enough cash. Minus one star for allowing a loud training session right next to me. I tried this place last week and will definitely be back. I called around 11:45 and made my appointment for 12:30. Showed up right on time and was helped by a nice lady in front. Once I picked my massage and paid I was shown to a private room which honestly is still slightly open ( like a tall cubicle with shutters for a door) but it was not a big deal to me at all. (Only thing is make sure you turn your phone on silent because it's not completely closed and there are other massages going on close by.) Mike did my massage and it was great. He used good pressure and anytime I asked for lighter he adjusted right away but while still getting all my knots. When we got close to the end he rubbed bengay on my back and used hot stones which was awesome and I wasn't expecting. My only sort of complaint is he didn't rub my feet.
