Lacked flavor and some items were just too oily. The best thing I liked was the churros and the item i disliked the most is the chow mein. Being an LA native, I've been on the hunt for a "ghetto Chinese food" spot. Basically meaning, a place that isn't panda, authentic, greasy, flavorful and big portions... Dragon Express is all that and a bag of chips! The flavors here are so different and delicious! They're so hearty and everything I was looking for! The orange chicken was crunchy and juicy. The beef was even better. Some of the best chewy chow mein noods! The cheese wontons were so fresh and so were the egg rolls. The women there are so sweet. I love the service. They HOOK IT UP! The food is not only delicious but also well-seasoned, and while the customer service could be improved. I would suggest a more detailed receipt of each item ordered versus just the total. What a busy, fast paced environment! The staff seemed a but inattentive, but they might not me accustomed to the fast pace yet. I believe that Dragon Express blew up because of all the influencers that have been posting on social media. Food was okay, chow mein needed some seasoning in my opinion and was a but salty, bbq pork and orange chicken were both saucy, yet flavorful. Beijing beef had subtle heat, but no crunch, and the honey walnut shrimp were big and juicy, but lacking in flavors of sweetness and I also did not get any Walnuts? I will say that this is a place that is definitely going to give you a bang for your buck. They do not mess around when it comes to your servings of chow mein, or fried rice. We tried the Mongolian beef, the Beijing beef, sweet-and-sour pork, walnut shrimp, orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, and salted pork chop. Although I don't eat much pork like I used to, I really enjoyed the sweet-and-sour pork and the pork chop. When I arrived, there was maybe six people ahead of me, but it took me nearly 20 minutes just to get to the front of the line, order my food, and then pay. [I passed by this location about a month ago, we decided to walk out because the line was about 45 minutes long.] Overall, it is slightly loud, but it's more because of the amount of people waiting in line and it is people being unruly. The chowmein was salty, the mushroom chicken was salty, the orange chicken was more batter than chicken. The flavor is there, just too salty for my palate. Went to Dragon Express for the very first time today and boy, I was shocked -- in a good way. It's a corner suite in a strip mall type of location in East Las Vegas. If you're looking for a big sign that says "Dragon Express", you're gonna miss it. Just look for the words "Chinese Fast Food". As you go in, it's like you're transported to a less branded Panda Express. Same lay out and food vessels and all. I went there right before lunch time so it wasn't as crowded as I thought. I was picking up a few plates and as soon as the gentleman plopped the chow mein in the to-go box, my eyes widened due to the sheer amount of food he placed. I even stopped him midway to let him know that I'm getting a combo plate and not just a plate of chow mein. He smiled and said "I know". I felt like such a noob at that point that I apologized to him and told him that it was my first time there. With three combo plates completed and as I head out of the restaurant, I realized the bag felt like it was about 10lbs (it probably was!). Came home and opened the containers and my assumptions were correct. Each plate was about 3lbs of food! Chow mein covered more than half the container, teriyaki chicken filled the rest and then some, then salt and pepper shrimp atop that. Personally, I requested for all veggies instead of the chow mein and fried rice. They had to cook it to order which was nice and much better option if you're trying to cut down on carbs. Overall, this place is great if you have a large family or just really hungry and prefer to spend on low-budget meals. For two entrees with chow mein and fried rice (Plate B) it's only $10.29!! I knocked down 1 star since some of the dishes were a bit oily and some lacking in flavor/salt. It's not a deal breaker, but it didn't wow me enough to give 5 stars. Ordered through Grub Hub, packed nicely and delivered quickly. The plates were both fully packed with generous portions and amazing flavors! The Mongolian beef was smoky and spicy but very flavorful. The honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken was crispy and crunchy. The amazing seasonings of the beef and broccoli paired well with the fried rice and chow mein noodles. The noodles were cooked and I could taste the lack of msg seasonings compared to other similar restaurants. This is definitely our new favorite spot! When it comes to the taste, it's definitely comparable to other Chinese fast food places. Their teriyaki sauce is so delicious. The honey shrimp was okay, didn't have a lot of honey taste. Overrated! Saw this online on some social media and we drove all the way 25 mins out to try this and let me tell you it's not even worth it. Yes they give out a good a mount of portion but honestly food was bland we liked China one or China a go go way better taste wise. This places gives us Panda Express flavors. The walnut shrimp is better at panda for sure. We waited in line for like 20 mins but yeah it's not something we will go back for. I would not order from Dragon Express in Las Vegas on Nelis for delivery. I ordered the three entre meal and it always takes at lkeast a half hour longer then they say. But that is not the worst part. The worst part is that they do not care about their customers. I ordered a three meal entre from them and then when you call because they only send you two entres you are calling a third party company for one. I sent pictures of my order to them that I had not touched and instead of refunding me for my missing entre they called me a liar and said I recieved everything and refused to refund me for what they did not send. There are many other much better chinese restaraunts out their so I would not recomend ordering from this rude company that hides behind a third party. Overall first impression was good. Was a quite busy upon our arrival, the line touched the front door. If you've ever had the pleasure of going to a hole in the wall Chinese spot with overflowing plates and underwhelming prices, this is it. Similar to Panda Express (not a fan), but a step up on the food quality. They have bowls, individual dishes and combo plates (A=1 side/protein, B= 2 and C=3) - each comes with rice, noodles or both. Noodles are plain and a bit greasy, but flavorful. They have a steak dish with potatoes (can't recall the name off hand) that is a best seller. The potatoes were SOOOOO GOOD. The meat had a powerdy texture to the sauce that I didn't dig on, but I chalked it up to a heavy cornstarch batch. It was good flavor, but the texture threw me off a bit. Also had the Mongolian Beef which was great. I opted out of the rice, but my man had it and liked it. Thurd side for my C combo for a side of Honey Walnut Shrimp, but the texture of the coating was a bit like pudding - won't do that again. My man got teriyaki chicken as well which was good. Lastly, their chicken egg rolls are reminiscent of Jack In The Box's egg rolls, and taste much better with the sweet and sour sauce than without. They also have spring rolls and pork egg rolls. Will definitely return - but suggest that you avoid the 6pm dinner rush, and go in person because they had lots of delivery company folks waiting for orders for quite some time. read more

I also told her I got them but nobody paid attention to either me or the lady who took my order. Never got her name but she looked like a young Hispanic and she even asked for them 2 other times until finally the lady who rang me up understood why I was waiting there being stared at by the other workers. She claimed I never told her so she didn't ring it up. I didn't get a receipt except for the one she had me sign and stick onto the pole thing. Got home and tried the food before making the review to see if it would redeem itself for the crappy service I had but sadly I won't be stopping by anymore. Food had absolutely NO flavor. Panda Express has more flavor and it's a bunch of people who aren't Asian working there. I got the kung pao chicken, teriyaki chicken and sesame chicken with noodles. I added salt to all of it cuz you can taste the boiled water through everything. I grew up in So Cal. Plenty of "Hole in the wall" Chinese places. Everyone had their favorite. Since moving to Las Vegas, I have yet to find one that brought me back to the amount of food and just flavor of those places. Dragon Express though. "Combo A - C" . That hit the spot and grabbed me. Growing up in So Cal, The spots we had only offered the " Combo A, B or C" or get them individual. And that was it. When I saw this, I was hard on board. And holy crap was I right. They loaded that plate up and made me feel like home. The taste though... It transported me to home. I had to stop and recollect my thoughts. I was stunned. This is what I have been looking for since I moved here. The chow mien was thick and flavorful. Orange chicken was just like home and made me giddy. Place I went to didn't have Sesame Chicken but Panda Express can go home and sit in a corner with theirs. And yo.. Potato with the Bejing beef? I've never seen that... but its a staple now. So this place is the ghost of Panda Express this place was the former location of panda express which moved across a street. The place was packed with customers on a Saturday evening. There was a family sitting at a table and the mom was selling shirts in the restaurant just announcing to everyone in the room that she was selling shirts and other things and the staff seemed okay with it, I don't think they noticed since everyone in the kitchen was busy. It was a little warm inside and I guess it was due to all the cooking going on.
