Everything was very wonderful, the way I like it. Only thing is.. their sides and the 2 Meat entree is all in one container? But, the good News is, I can still split it up into 4 Dinner meals for me alone throughout the week!! Amazing... I'll be ordering from them a lot, as I'm only doing Delivery for now with the High Heat Warnings in August 2026, I don't do very good in the Heat. But, no wonder everybody seems to like their food. The beef in the Beef & Broccoli was very nicely velveted, (tenderized) and the broccoli is par-cooked just as it should, and not mushy? The chicken Thigh meat is also nicely tenderized, with mushrooms in a tasty sauce. The mixed vegetables includes large Bok Choy, and sliced zuchinni. All in all, I Super recommend you try them! My husband and I went there because of the viral plug on instagram. We drove all the way from Spring Valley! They advertise a picture of pepper chicken with green beans on their kiosk menu, only to find out everyone serving there said " We don't sell that here!" Gross rice was under cooked you could literally taste the uncooked rice! The chowmein was oily and greasy with a smell like they had been cooking in it to long! I've been seeing this place all over Tik Tok so I was excited to finally try. I went around 10:45 am on a Monday and luckily there was no line. I was greeted upon walking in, and I noticed the inside of the establishment isn't the cleanest nor is there much room to dine in. Now for the food, everything looked delicious and fresh. I got the two meat plate with orange chicken and the beef with onions/peppers, half chow mein half fried rice. I happen to be on that side of town and decided to drop in for dinner. I made the mistake of not walking the line before starting my order. Kind of like Panda Express I started off with half noodles half fried rice. I also ordered the Mongolian beef orange chicken and honey shrimp. I probably would've swapped the Mongolian beef for the barbecue pork which I saw after, but overall the Mongolian beef was good orange chicken was good and also the honey shrimp was delicious.. I barely ate the rice and noodles as they both were a little on the bland side. The only knockout have is unless you stick to some of the basic entrees there's an up charge on almost every other item. What started as 1184 three entrees plus one side became 18 dollars because of two up charges and soda. Although I don't eat much pork like I used to, I really enjoyed the sweet-and-sour pork and the pork chop. When I arrived, there was maybe six people ahead of me, but it took me nearly 20 minutes just to get to the front of the line, order my food, and then pay. [I passed by this location about a month ago, we decided to walk out because the line was about 45 minutes long.] Overall, it is slightly loud, but it's more because of the amount of people waiting in line and it is people being unruly. I believe that Dragon Express blew up because of all the influencers that have been posting on social media. Food was okay, chow mein needed some seasoning in my opinion and was a but salty, bbq pork and orange chicken were both saucy, yet flavorful. Beijing beef had subtle heat, but no crunch, and the honey walnut shrimp were big and juicy, but lacking in flavors of sweetness and I also did not get any Walnuts? Being an LA native, I've been on the hunt for a "ghetto Chinese food" spot. Basically meaning, a place that isn't panda, authentic, greasy, flavorful and big portions... Dragon Express is all that and a bag of chips! The flavors here are so different and delicious! They're so hearty and everything I was looking for! The orange chicken was crunchy and juicy. The beef was even better. Some of the best chewy chow mein noods! The cheese wontons were so fresh and so were the egg rolls. The women there are so sweet. I love the service. They HOOK IT UP! The chowmein was salty, the mushroom chicken was salty, the orange chicken was more batter than chicken. The flavor is there, just too salty for my palate. Went to Dragon Express for the very first time today and boy, I was shocked -- in a good way. It's a corner suite in a strip mall type of location in East Las Vegas. If you're looking for a big sign that says "Dragon Express", you're gonna miss it. Just look for the words "Chinese Fast Food". As you go in, it's like you're transported to a less branded Panda Express. Same lay out and food vessels and all. I went there right before lunch time so it wasn't as crowded as I thought. I was picking up a few plates and as soon as the gentleman plopped the chow mein in the to-go box, my eyes widened due to the sheer amount of food he placed. I even stopped him midway to let him know that I'm getting a combo plate and not just a plate of chow mein. He smiled and said "I know". I felt like such a noob at that point that I apologized to him and told him that it was my first time there. With three combo plates completed and as I head out of the restaurant, I realized the bag felt like it was about 10lbs (it probably was!). Came home and opened the containers and my assumptions were correct. Each plate was about 3lbs of food! Chow mein covered more than half the container, teriyaki chicken filled the rest and then some, then salt and pepper shrimp atop that. Personally, I requested for all veggies instead of the chow mein and fried rice. They had to cook it to order which was nice and much better option if you're trying to cut down on carbs. Overall, this place is great if you have a large family or just really hungry and prefer to spend on low-budget meals. For two entrees with chow mein and fried rice (Plate B) it's only $10.29!! I knocked down 1 star since some of the dishes were a bit oily and some lacking in flavor/salt. It's not a deal breaker, but it didn't wow me enough to give 5 stars. When it comes to the taste, it's definitely comparable to other Chinese fast food places. Their teriyaki sauce is so delicious. The honey shrimp was okay, didn't have a lot of honey taste. The noodles were fine. I added a little soy sauce which enhanced it. Customer service was great! We ate there since we drove 30 minutes up there. Yes they give out a good a mount of portion but honestly food was bland we liked China one or China a go go way better taste wise. This places gives us Panda Express flavors. The walnut shrimp is better at panda for sure. We waited in line for like 20 mins but yeah it's not something we will go back for. Went here on a Friday, there was a really long line to order. But the line moved and maybe took 30min to order. The service was fast though ones you start ordering. This definitely reminds me of chinese fast food in socal which is nice to have in vegas and the food was actually good. Overall first impression was good. Was a quite busy upon our arrival, the line touched the front door. If you've ever had the pleasure of going to a hole in the wall Chinese spot with overflowing plates and underwhelming prices, this is it. Similar to Panda Express (not a fan), but a step up on the food quality. They have bowls, individual dishes and combo plates (A=1 side/protein, B= 2 and C=3) - each comes with rice, noodles or both. Noodles are plain and a bit greasy, but flavorful. They have a steak dish with potatoes (can't recall the name off hand) that is a best seller. The potatoes were SOOOOO GOOD. The meat had a powerdy texture to the sauce that I didn't dig on, but I chalked it up to a heavy cornstarch batch. It was good flavor, but the texture threw me off a bit. Also had the Mongolian Beef which was great. I opted out of the rice, but my man had it and liked it. Thurd side for my C combo for a side of Honey Walnut Shrimp, but the texture of the coating was a bit like pudding - won't do that again. My man got teriyaki chicken as well which was good. Lastly, their chicken egg rolls are reminiscent of Jack In The Box's egg rolls, and taste much better with the sweet and sour sauce than without. They also have spring rolls and pork egg rolls. Will definitely return - but suggest that you avoid the 6pm dinner rush, and go in person because they had lots of delivery company folks waiting for orders for quite some time. read more
