I grew up going to Sam Woo, Harbor Palace, and Joyful House in Chinatown but they all sadly closed down and this place is very similar to them! The interior reminds be of my childhood, nothing fancy nothing modern just good food! You know it's good when they have pictures of the food on the wall and the uncles and aunties are there eating. Food: Lunch Special 10/10! - Mongolian beef - comes with 3 choices of soup ( choose 1 ) my favorite is the wonton soup as no where else in Vegas offers that in a lunch special - comes with fried rice with char siu pork in it Easily the best Chinese lunch special in town! Beef was tender sauce was flavorful over the crispy noodles! I'm usually not a fan of lunch special fried rices but Wo Fats is the best! Service was fast and friendly! My grandma has been going here since the 90's. It doesn't seem like much has changed (complimentary). One of the only places in LV we've found that does Egg Foo Young correctly. I've been ordering delivery from here for a long time, so when my friend and I were in the neighborhood, I suggested we finally stop in for lunch. As soon as we walked in, the hostess seated us by the window, and I immediately noticed the mix of decor -- clean space, colorful murals (angel wings and a beach scene), Chinese lanterns, and big photos of menu favorites on the walls. Our family of 9 was seated as soon as we arrived. We were able to order what we wanted and more with the help of the staff. The food was amazing and our grandchildren loved everything we ordered. We're able to order usual/familiar dishes which include egg drop soup(I think this restaurant calls it egg blossom soup), crispy gau gee with cake noodles, oyster sauce chicken, sweet and sour pork, and honey walnut shrimp. It tastes just like the Chinese restaurants we have in Hawai'i. The waitresses are friendly and seem to remember people from their previous visits, food comes out hot and quick and there's a nice amount of space and tables for large families/parties. We ordered the honey walnut shrimp (shrimps were not coated with anything but sauce and walnuts were burnt), combo chow mein (on the menu it's listed as beef, chicken, and shrimp, and all we got was chicken and pork, the chicken was completely unseasoned), the bbq platter (listed as beef, chicken, and ribs, was basically only chicken thighs and ribs), the manapua (very dry and bland), and a Thai tea (basically all milk, and no tea). Stopped by today as I see they have pressed duck! Not crispy duck, this is deboned and pressed breaded and fried. I have been looking for pressed duck for years. Unfortunately, this was bland. My family and I have been dining here for 15+ years. We enjoy the service, the food and ambiance. We have seen some changes over the years they added new food items to the menu with keeping the original menu and renovated to add the expansion of the restaurant. All the years we have been here we've all been content even with the health district inspections and the pandemic we still continue to dine here with no complaints and it's good to see the staff since way back then they know us as regulars. A friend just moved to Vegas (from Oahu) and we told her about this place, it's food, and how they even use "the local kine Chinese plates" from back home. So, we came on our days off =) Instantly greeted by the friendliest of waitresses (maybe owner, idk). Very reminiscent of places back home where she's like "your aunty" lol I will say, I made the mistake on ordering wine from here (reminder, it was my day off :p) and it wasn't good; and I knew it wasn't gonna be good when I ordered it but, did it anyways! We ordered the roast duck, crispy gaugee cake noodle, Mongolian beef, minute chicken, garlic onchoy, and fried rice. Mind you, this food is for 3 people and not no lunch size portions!!! Roast duck was great because it was meaty. You know some ducks can be all bones. Mongolian beef was spicier than expected but, I liked how the veggies were still crunchy when you bite into it -- not mush and over cooked. Garlic onchoy is always good - garlic on any veggies is a MUST! My friend used to say "onchoy is what Manny Pacquiao ate to get his strength" cause "it's like spinach." Not too sure how accurate that is but, it's a little anecdote I haven't forgotten. I really wanted to root for this place since it has Hawaiian ties, but unfortunately, I was compelled to write this review to save others from wasting their money. The cold ginger chicken was unfortunately very terrible. The chicken was way overcooked and terrible texture, like wet paper towels. They call it onion sauce and they're right, it had hardly any ginger or oil in it. But it's cold ginger chicken, and there was not the usual ginger sauce to be expected, just green onion sauce. I got the shrimp egg foo young and it was also terrible, basically a shrimp omelet. I wish it were better because it's close to my partner's house, but it truly was a waste of $30. read more

It's now bigger, brighter, and the food is still good. They also describe it as Hawaiian (maybe Chinese with Hawaiian influence). Decor is simple with pictures of some dishes in the wall. Wait staff friendly. Today I had their Fried Kau Chee (deep fried dumplings with meat). It was delicious. Especially if dunked in their mustard mixed with chili sauce. Also had their War Wonton soup with egg noodles. It was chock full of veggies, chicken meat, pork meat, and wontons. It was good but the broth lacked a flavor. Nevertheless, with a little salt and soy sauce, it tasted better. Thus 3 stars. They have several lunch and dinner combos. I've had their Mongolian Beef lunch special. It came with an egg roll, soup, Mongolian beef and fried rice. That was really good. This may not be for everyone but it's one of the places that I would go to for affordable, yet good food. It came with rice and macaroni salad, just like Hawaii. I also had a strawberry slush, delicious with a fresh strawberry taste. Despite the cold weather, I love a sweet frozen drink. They have house wine, by the glass or carafe, as well as beer and sake. Hawaiian Sun soft drinks are available by the can, as are Coke products. The sweet pork was flavorful but the texture was a bit chewy. The high point for me was the Hawaiian chicken. The texture and flavor were spot on, so much better than the Hawaiian fast food places in town. It reminded me of a plate lunch from when I lived in Hawaii. The portion was generous. I didn't particularly care for the rice, the texture didn't seem fresh. I'll be back again to try the Chinese food options. The menu is extensive and I can't recommend everything, because it would take many weeks to try everything, but I LOVE the Mongolian Beef and the Kung Pao Chicken so I keep going back to those.
