    Char Sui: roast pork appetizer

I've been ordering delivery from here for a long time, so when my friend and I were in the neighborhood, I suggested we finally stop in for lunch. As soon as we walked in, the hostess seated us by the window, and I immediately noticed the mix of decor -- clean space, colorful murals (angel wings and a beach scene), Chinese lanterns, and big photos of menu favorites on the walls. It honestly gave me that nostalgic Hawaiian-Chinese house vibe I grew up with. Our waitress took our drink order, and since I basically know the menu by heart, I ordered right away: A-Special plate + Gau Gee (my forever favorite). The meal started with wonton soup -- hot broth, flavorful dumplings, exactly how it should be. The gau gee came out crispy and packed with filling, just like I remembered. My plate looked delicious: * Char siu pork - tasty, slightly on the dry side * Sweet & sour pork - saucy with crunchy veggies and pineapple * Pork fried rice - classic and solid * Beef with vegetables - mild, but a splash of shoyu fixed it fast My friend ordered the Hawaiian BBQ plate, and wow... the portions were huge. Big cuts of kalbi, bulgogi, BBQ chicken, and a scoop of mac salad that felt straight out of Honolulu. Everything felt generous, comforting, and familiar. We wrapped up with fortune cookies and watched customers come in -- lots of regulars, which says a lot. If you're craving Chinese food, Hawaiian plate lunch vibes, or both, Wo Fat is the spot. I'm glad I finally ate here in person -- the food and the atmosphere hit the spot. I hope you give this place a try and enjoy a good experience.

Cold Ginger chicken and the pork hash is served as an entire patty. I'll also pass on those next time.

The food here is delicious, the service is exceptional. It's a throwback to old Hawaii Chinese restaurants. I'd give it a solid 9 out of 10.

there's tons of food and beverage items that's posted on the walls of the restaurant and in the menu but today i was interested in their lunch special. this year marks 35 years since this restaurant has been open and even though the economy sucks right now they maintain to keep prices low. staff is always so welcoming when i come in and service is fast. food is filling but kind of greasy like all chinese take out food. today i had mongolian beef lunch special served with egg flower soup, fried rice, and wonton chips, yum !! lunch special is $9.25 per person from opening 11am to 3pm

My grandparents took me here and it was great. Food is tasty and family style portions for a great price. You know the food is going to be great when you see pictures all over the wall! Bring the family and friends!

Oyster sauce chicken with cake noodle. Looks like left over chicken. We ordered 3 different plates for three different people. This was my order when I opened it.

Second time here. Food is pretty close to Chinese food in Hawaii. Waitresses were very polite but the dishes were slow to come. Portions were good and the taste was good. Not sure if we would come back

My family and I have been dining here for 15+ years. We enjoy the service, the food and ambiance. We have seen some changes over the years they added new food items to the menu with keeping the original menu and renovated to add the expansion of the restaurant. All the years we have been here we've all been content even with the health district inspections and the pandemic we still continue to dine here with no complaints and it's good to see the staff since way back then they know us as regulars. It's good to see that Wo Fat restaurant is still operating in business and we will continue to support them. Keep up the good work Team. Our go to's: Hot and Sour Soup Egg Flower Soup Chicken Corn Soup Crispy Kau Chee Cake noodles with a variety of toppings (depends what we feel like eating). Fried Rice with a variety of toppings (depends what we feel like eating). Pork Chow Fun Minute Chicken Beef with Bitter-Melon Roast Duck Kau-Yuk (Chinese Pot Roast Pork) Buns Cold Ginger Chicken Sweet and Sour Shrimp/Pork/Chicken Plain Pork Hash Egg Fu Young with a variety (depends what we feel like eating). Shrimp with Honey Walnuts

    It's a classic, maaaan

The shop, by comparison though, is on the smaller side; so come early or expect to wait a little. This is a popular spot with locals! As we stepped inside, it felt like we were transported back to one of these noodle spots in Hong Kong. Service here is casual and direct, just the way I like it at these joints. Food is legit; we enjoyed everything we ordered and the I especially loved the beef chow fun -- flavorful and well-executed (no noodles sticking together!). All were really really good! Our favorite was definitely the bbq pork. It was really tender, sweet, savory, and juicy! It was so good we had to order another side of bbq pork! This is a pretty small joint so I can see having a long wait on peak times. I love the ambiance inside with the asian designs. Love to be back again!

The dining area is long and narrow with vaulted ceilings, very high end Chinese decor mixed with a modern contemporary vibe in the lighting and the furnishings. You turn down the lights and it's definitely a date night type of place. The service was phenomenal from beginning to end. Alex took care of us from walking in all the way to dessert He was witty, funny and took the extra time to explain the intricacies of the dishes we inquired about. The experience was phenomenal lead by him and backed up by the kitchen and the rest of the team. He talked us into the duck special which came with duck soup, salt-n-pepper duck and whole duck carved at the table by Alex. Duck Soup - Delicious and savory broth. The cuts were tender and delicious. The best I've had in a long time. Salt N Pepper Duck - A crispy duck dish I've never had before. Good times. Guo Bao Pork - Creative, delicious and I understand why this is a feature dish. Green Beans - Perfect veggie pairing for all this food. The portions were so generous and I had 3 containers of food to take home for dinner. I appreciated the birthday dessert at lunch to finish off the experience. Well, that was a fantastic first visit. It definitely won't be the last as I see a dinner visit in the near future. Cheers!

It is located in the Trop Plaza on Tropicana Ave and Decatur Blvd. Plenty of parking. Spacious inside with lots of seating. Our server was pleasant and amicable. He attended to us frequently throughout our dining. Other lady servers brought us our food timely. Thank you All! Menu offers quite a variety... reg dim sum, delicious dim sum, chef specialties, house specialties, super dim sum, vegan no-meat dim sum, congee, noodles, rice dishes, appetizers, entrees, lunch specials, and more. Prices of the dim sum vary from $5.98 and up. We chose a handful of dim sum and one Shrimp & Pork Wonton Egg Noodles. Overall, dim sum was decent. A few of them could have been better in preparation, flavor, and taste. Wonton noodles were tasty. *Bean Sauce Chicken Feet - skin was on the tougher side, could have been more tender, sauce was too thick, flavor was okay *Crispy Taro Pancake - top layer was crispy, but taro fell apart when picked up by chopsticks *Egg Tarts - light and flaky crust with soft, smooth & jiggly egg custard filling, amazingly good, definitely would get again, wished it came with 3 instead of 2, they are bigger than normal egg tarts, but still *Fried Pork Ball - just okay, nothing special *Golden Sand Lava - huge baked bun with lots of oozing sandy egg yolk, must get! *Shrimp Dumpling - full of shrimps in thin skin, tasty filling, good size, worth the price! *Shrimp & Pork Chives Dumpling - more chives than shrimp and pork, flavor was mediocre *Shrimp & Pork Shumai - surprisingly flavorful, but wished there was more shrimp than pork Glad we got a chance to try this place. I would return to try their other dim sum and lunch specials in future LV visits. Worth stopping by if you haven'ty already.

Tripe stew had good flavor but texture was mushy (passed the point of tender) Service was fine, staff was available when needed, but overall felt quality/ambiance could be better.
