It's been my most favorite establishment for YEARS, and now that I live 2.5 hours away, I make sure my husband stops here to grab me a plate and head home with it! I ordered take-out. I did not go inside this restaurant. I order Crab Rangoon and Dumplings. I liked the Crab Rangoon. Tasted great and fresh. Crispy on the outside, great tasting filling and perfect amount of sauce. The dumplings were gross. I've made dumplings from frozen that tasted better than what I received from Dragon Express. The dough was tough and dry. They tasted like they were made the day before, left out and then microwaved before given to me. The filling was dry and tasteless. Parking at the hotel I was staying at was so packed, I didn't want to lose my spot and really didn't feel like driving anymore than I already had that day. Asked the hotel front desk and he recommended that I just walk across the street and try Dragon Express. I did, not too bad for a little place, food was cooked right there, even though this was a hot food place (cafeteria style) restaurant. I ordered the prawns and it was more than I thought they were going to give me and was really really inexpensive. Rice was good, not the greatest, how would I know, I'm from California and the Chinatown areas in the major cities can not be beat. My little hot food style shop makes the absolutely best BBQ pork fried rice in the North bay. I bought both items and a soda pop and walked back to the hotel, food was not bad at all, the prawns, stole the show, great batter and were cooked perfect. Food is blah... customer service terrible. And by that I mean the manager lady serving food has an attitude issue. Asked what two things were because NOTHING is labeled, and she just told me spicy pork and started loading it up she was very snappy with customers and didn't talk to them nicely at all. Service was nice & polite. As they handed me my on line order, I noticed a man to the side quickly stick one last box into my bag. Later I figured out it was way over cooked, hard orange chicken he was probably saving aside to pass off for an order. Food was all very lacking in sauces/flavor, honey shrimp pretty dry, Mongolian beef mushy & chewy, fried rice, was white, no flavor with a couple peas and a couple pieces of corn, orange chicken, as I mentioned earlier, inedible. Here's the deal with this place- they're cheap and fast and give you a lot. If you go in with that understanding and set your bar there, you are not going to be disappointed. When I first went i was kinda put off by all the squash in their food, but I've come around to it, and while I certainly don't think it tastes authentic, it is good in its own way. As much as I originally thought this place was subpar, I kept going back when my family wanted Chinese food. They are better than the Safeway deli and cleaner than the super china buffet, and seriously you can feed your family on the cheap. The truth is that in Moses lake we don't have a great selection if we are craving kung pow chicken, and while this place doesn't serve 5 star food, they actually do a good job satisfying your cravings. Dragon Express is ready for travelers! Their buffet is fresh, hot and delicious. Located next door to a Starbucks that is ONLY drive thru, crazy. Dragon Express is right off the interstate, exit 179. We skipped the ridiculous line in the Starbucks drive-thru and got some piping-hot Chinese food to go before the cars that were in line at the coffee place next door had even moved. There are fast food joints very nearby, but this was so much better! I can't imagine food being any more delicious than this and certainly not quicker! The 1 star off is because there wasn't a vegetable-only offering. Pork, beef, chicken & more chicken, steamed rice with a sprinkle of vegetables and traditional Chinese noodles with a sprinkle of cabbage & carrots. This is not a chain but a local couple's business. Do yourself a favor and patronize this local restaurant instead of the big chains & enjoy your meal. I read about squash in prior reviews. There was no squash anywhere today. I was happy they delivered to our hotel. Our hotel (Surestay) was listed under an old name on the website. Difficult to find the menu on the website. We had to call 3 times to finally find the menu. Prices were good. The delivery person forgot our sides, but returned quickly with them, along with a couple of extra egg rolls for our trouble. We didn't care for the egg rolls. There was a spice that was not appealing to us. The cashew chicken was pretty good, we have had better & worse. No where near the original version from Springfield, MO. The orange chicken was ok, nothin amazing and wasn't as crispy as it should have been. The "fried rice" was more like steamed rice with veggies in it. Absolutely no flavor it in at all. If you were to close your eyes and eat it you would have no idea what you were eating since there was absolutely NO flavor to it. Same goes to the chow mein, no flavor at all. Excellent, freshly made Chinese food. I can highly recommend the Cashew Chicken and the House Special Lo Mein. I don't care for the location. It's too difficult to drive in and out of the parking lot. You have to battle the folks coming through the Starbuck's drivethru. I have noticed that if I place an order over the phone and speak with one of the Asian guys, rice is included with my entree. If I phone in and speak with one of the girls who work there, I don't receive the rice. So, check your order before you leave. read more

The food was decent with nice size portions. That is the end of my positive section. Filthy! The kitchen either needs to be wayyyyyy cleaner or out of sight. You have to chose one. If you want it to look like Panda Express with the open kitchen with beautiful displayed produce and glistening stainless steel that is one thing. But not the case here. When you have entrees and meats with so much flavor and sauces, the rice and noodles don't need that much or else it would be too overpowering. Tonight I was on hold for over 25 minutes and when I called back the girl was extremely rude - and by rude, I mean she made the top five worst customer service experiences list! We only started to going to Dragon Express only about 1 month ago and my husband and I have discovered that the food is a whole lot better than the China Buffet. It's fresh and flavorful! We do not eat alot of salty and greasy foods and this is good not salty and not greasy good chinese food! We are always satisfied with it and we have never gotten sick! To use the spicy is spicy and the other dishes have good flavor as well! The prices are very resonable and the amount of food is awesome! We come home with plenty of food for out whole family, with even leftover! And the service is great they are very nice and good service!
