Clearly they tried to save a penny on an extra plastic bag and shoved my whole order(for the office) into one flimsy bag, and the juices from the plates spilled all over inside the bag, because the plates were crushed. When in doubt, you ended up in South Central and you were craving for some Chinese takeout, yep it was Dragon Loco. Located in a not very pleasant place, I saw broken glasses everywhere near the bus stop in front, must be a war zone here. Parking was super limited as they share with Fred Loya insurance and 7eleven, some was only reserved for 7eleven. The service was good, the lady who took my order was super nice and friendly although she didn't know much about history of the restaurant she said it has been here for at least 30 years, and I might just be the only Asian customer in this hood, as she said sometimes she had drunk and aggressive customers coming in and it was very scary. Also I wonder what that chicken salad tasted like since the menu said OUT for like a few years, but at least I got to taste the garlic wings and that probably the best of them all because the chop suey and the shrimp broccoli were both soaking in sauce, I meant too much sauce and if I knew that I would have asked for steamed instead, they didn't have brown rice option as she explained it was taken too long to cook, so no rice for me, but I got so thirsty after maybe due to high sodium intake or MSG, my tongue got that tingling sensation for a bit after finishing all the food, I tried to avoid the sauce but it was unavoidable. At least they allowed you to sit down and eat inside, and the lady was super nice, the trash can was right there but she insisted to help me clean all the boxes after I was done. So I had Chinese food before but this is something the restaurant cook catering to the demographics of the locals here, lots of rice lots of sauce and super salty, for me that would not be how I eat, well at least I knew what to order next time. They have a Vitamix blender so at least their smoothies will be good, then their service was super fast too, they said 5 mins for each customer who came to order and I could hear they were amazed their orders got ready within 3 mins, if you want to support them, check them out once, if you want real Chinese food, maybe look into others :) read more

The coconut shrimp is to die for so amazing!!! I swallowed the shrimp egg rolls and wontons. The orange chicken was good as the shrimp fried rice was ok only because after I tasted the coconut shrimp I couldn't eat the other shrimp but over all I loved it!!!! read more

Worst chinese food ever!! If I could give if 0 stars I would. First and final time I ever go there. I had decided to give it a try because of all the good reviews despite the kinda costly plates but how I regret wasting $29 on 3 plates. The food tasted old without flavor and you could straight out tell it had been microwaved because of the huge bubbles on the white boxes and the food's flavor. Beside this , the orange chicken was way to hard and way to overcooked. It was if I was eating rocks and when it was finally broken down it was chewy . Do not waste your money here! I could tell that they are still in business it's because they accept EBT , cause because it is not definetely not because of the good food. P.S : do not get fooled ! The food is delicious and never disappoints. The portions are great and the price is just right. The Thai iced tea with cream is delicious. The service is fast and Jaylen is very hospitable and accommodating. If you need something all you have to do is ask. The inside is always kept clean. My sister had Veggie fried rice, veggie chow mein, & shrimp egg rolls( those egg rolls were SO GOOD) & small like the standard veggie egg rolls. I wish I'd gotten two soups :( and I could've done with out extra meat (beef & pork pieces they wasn't tender at all) would've replaced with shrimp & more wontons! Service was great, even though I was asked how many sauces I wanted. Only not to have them in the bag. There's plenty seating available but, parking could be scarce. Just moved to this area, we were looking for a nee Chinese Food spot, were very picky about our Chinese food so this was a wary decision. We ordered - Shrimp Fried Rice - Veggie Lo Mein - Orange Chicken All plates were delicious! The rice is nice and brown, with great flavor! The OC was sweet but not too sweet, very crunchy too. The meat to the beef & broccoli didn't have the texture I was looking for, there's is a bit chewy not what I like but the broccoli and sauce used is delicious. The vegetable chow main isn't what I'm used to. It was fairly soupy but the flavor was there just not my forte. Overall it's good and the service is great! We asked to exchange the house rice for steamed rice and egg roll and an argument happened. End result was they gave us 10 dollars back and the steamed rice which was still hard. VERY disappointed :( lengthy review but detailed: I have been very loyal to this business since moving back to LA. I even kept going back after raising their prices! I got my local friends & family hooked on this place too. But sad to say today was my last day there. They messed up my order not once, but twice (and that's not even the bad part)! I ordered an orange chicken special with fried rice & a wonton soup (phone order) I get there & apparently she didn't catch the soup over the phone. No biggie, a few minutes of wait & good to go! I get home, hungry as heck & ready to munch some chicken only to see that my order was made with steamed rice as opposed to fried. I was bummed & called her, she said she heard "white" rice not "fried" (I guess that's on honest mistake) so I asked her if I could come back & swap it. She said "if you want" ... At this point I'm still ok with the situation, they are usually accurate in there orders so I figured this was rare & I had nothing to worry about. But once I got there it was a different story :( I walked in & handed her over my order, silence...no acknowledgement or anything. She opened up my order, grabs a spoon & right in front of me starts throwing the rice BACK in the steamer with the other batch of steamed rice (gross & unsanitary)...how does she know I didn't mess with it? Disgusting! She scoops up some fried rice & throws it in my plate. I ask if she can toss my chicken on the wok for a few minutes as I like my food hot & at this point it was cold. She says "no"...so I say that's ok, can u remake my order then...she says "no, you have to pay for new order"... I felt like I got slapped in the face. I told her I always eat here (which she knows) & that its not my fault my order was incorrect. She shrugs her shoulders & tells me to microwave it. At that point I inform her that she just lost a loyal customer & to please refund my money. I went in yesterday with my boys about 20 mins before closing. Both of the cashiers were very inviting and a pleasure. I ordered the shrimp fired rice and bouse fried rice with 3 eggrolls. Before leaving I ordered two Thai teas. The fried rice was made to order. You can see the kitchen, VERY clean especially for end of the day. My boys said their house fried rice tasted really fresh- my kids are particular, we eat every where from local hood gems to upscale dining...they are knowledgeable about food. My spicy shrimp fried rice was cooked just right no burnt eggs or hard rice....small shrimp but plenty of it. The three shrimp eggrolls very good liked then a lot....Cant beat it for the price The Thai iced tea was really good...didnt taste as if they sell you whatever they brewed from the week and its sold until its gone. For the price , less than $20 for the food and $4.00 for the Thai tea....I will definitely return again soon. read more

I love this place! everything is super fresh and cooked to order. they are different than any other chinese food place in that they don't leave food warming in pans for hours. They cook your food as soon as you order. Very good Chinese food, it is made to order and very delicious. Service was quick and friendly. The only downside to this is that it's not like other Chinese food restaurants like panda or china town express. Every entree is sold separately. Each a entree goes around $5.50 & $6. I believe they have a lunch special which is the only time you can get more than 1 entree for a cheaper price. Other than that. It's worth the money, just wish it would have been able to pick what you like buffet style. read more
