We've been here a few times but I didn't manage to write reviews before. The restaurant is clean, bright and spacious, the tables are not packed too close together . This is a nice place for morning yum cha as they offer special price $5.30 before 11am for small, medium and large dim sums and also 2 types of claypot rice. The dim sums are of good quality, in decent size, freshly made and not too salty & oily. There's a built-in 12% service charge, 2 of us ended up paying $13.25 each (tax & service charge inclusive) with 4 dim sums, it's good value. As many customers visit before 11am, it appeared a bit understaffed but overall was still good. I won't hesitate to visit this restaurant again. read more

Lovely dim sum spot and revisited for dinner this time. A ton of of parking space in this plaza. They have a Peking duck 2 course limited time special promotion currently between 3:30pm-9:30pm for $30 if you order over $50 before tax, cash payment. We ordered the Peking duck and the meat was tender and juicy. The Peking duck marinate is just slightly on the blend side but decent overall. The standard comes with 12 Peking wraps only but they give 16 wraps here. Plus they offer vinegar carrots & turnips on the side added to your peking wrap which makes it very refreshing. Normally this is not offered in other places. Bonus points and good job to chef's creativity on the careful thoughts. Ordered the RARE snake and chicken soup "Dragon Phoenix Soup". Snake soup is a traditional Cantonese delicacy popular in the winter to provide warmth and improve circulation. The soup comes with crispy crunches, lemon left and cilantro on the side to go with the soup. The soup was loaded with fillings of snake, chicken, fish maw, wood ear mushroom, mushroom, ginger and orange peel. Soup flavour was great and delicious. I haven't had snake soup in years ever since living in Toronto. What a nostalgic item! We pre-ordered the GIANT seabass tail and the fish fillet was fresh and bouncy. The fish is deep fried drizzled over umami sauce cooked in tofu, shitaki mushrooms, chinese bbq and veggies to bring depth to the sauce. A great dish to share with family and goes well with rice along with the sauce. Ended off the meal with free mango pudding desserts. It was smooth, creamy and had a strong mango flavour. It's honestly rare for me to wake up early on a weekend, but when I do, I'm absolutely taking advantage of Treasure Garden's early bird special. Not a lot of places offer it on weekends too, so $5.30 for any S/M/L dim sum before 10:30am (11am for weekdays) already felt like a solid start to the day. Mom and I came for a quick breakfast and ordered five dishes, plus tea. After tip, the bill came to about $40, not bad at all for a filling morning meal. We kept it classic with the siu mai, which were juicy and the shrimps inside were big. The baby octopus with curry sauce was surprisingly flavourful with tender pieces with that nostalgic HK-style curry aroma. One of my favourites was the bean curd roll with duck feet; super soft bean curd skin soaking up all the sauce, and the duck feet were cooked until tender. You don't find this dish at a lot of restaurants. The shrimp rice rolls were fresh and silky, and the fried shrimp roll with chives had that satisfying crunch with a good hit of chive flavour. Service was quick, dim sum came out hot except the rice roll which was only room temperature, and for the price point, especially with the weekend early bird deal... it's a pretty solid option in Richmond Hill if you're craving a no-fuss dim sum breakfast. We came here for dim sum and had a great experience! The décor is modern and comfortable, and the service was very attentive. One of the highlights is their dim sum special -- all small, medium, and large dishes are only $5.3 each, which makes it easy to try a wide variety without worrying about the price. They also serve roast duck and a full menu for lunch and dinner, plus private rooms if you're looking for something more private. Came here for dinner and ordered some of their special items: Geoduck sashimi + $20 for soup rice (2 way), old fashioned steamed eel. Also ordered a soy sauce chicken and some veggies. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday evening but it was also snowing. It wasn't too loud and service was great. So I recently tried this place out on a sunday for dim sum with my family. Currently they are running some exciting promos like a deal for peking duck at $28.88 with a minimum of $40 spend (dine-in) and dungeness crab garlic lotus leaf rice for $32. Really good specials. The dim sum itself was actually very, very solid! The siu mais were bigger than a lot of restos I've been to and there were some very unique dishes that you wouldn't find on a lunchtime dim sum menu. The bbq pork pineapple bun was prolly the most disappointing item we ordered. The bun was actually kinda dry even though the filling was tasty. I've definitely had much better. Obviously because we ordered the peking duck, we weren't able to order as many dim sum to try so we will probably be back to try some of the other dim sums another time. read more

Came here at prime time on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite busy. We made a reservation since we were a larger party, so we didn't have to wait too long. Everything on the menu was your standard dimsum items - nothing stands out and they have pretty much all your basics, like shrimp dumplings (har gao), pork dumplings (siu mai), rice noodles (cheung fun), and steamed buns. Nothing tasted great and was just okay. Service was also mediocre but that's pretty much the same at most places. I definitely prefer the dimsum restaurants a bit more south, closer to Hwy 7. read more

Our go-to dim sum spot! Conveniently located, this is one of the closest dim sum spots to where we live. Considering there aren't many dim sum spots north of highway 7, this spot is authentic and delicious! Their early-bird special is awesome value, S,M and L items are all around $5 before 10:30am, which covers the majority of the dim sum items. The only issue I have is that some items that are generally a M or L at other dim sum spots are an XL at this place, like har gow for example is like $9 which feels a bit steep. The restaurant is large and clean. It has a classic dim sum restaurant feel; no carts but servers walking around, trying to upsell special items. Servers are mostly friendly, some are a bit curt but overall very efficient. We've had a couple of items mistakenly left at our tables or items missing but they always quickly corrected any issues. The food is good, usually everything is hot and fresh. It's not the absolute best I've ever had but it's been solid and consistent and fresh tasting. Make sure to try the baked bbq pork buns with the Bo lo crust topping. It's not on the menu but someone walking around will have it! Will definitely be back! read more

Got to try this newly opened (a month) Chinese restaurant in Richmond hill on a Sunday morning. Came here right when they opened at 930am and it's not full. We got to sit in the room. The decor and furniture is definitely nice and clean since it's recently opened. The dim sum menu is not very extensive and seems quite standard too. Most are M or L or special dishes. See pictures for the prices for S, M, L. We ordered a cha siu pastry, a beef rice roll, a fried dough rice roll, a steamed beef balls, and a deep fried taro dumpling. All the dishes seem to be a bit off. The cha siu pastry, not hot, full of dough that feels like raw dough, the cha siu is only in the center. The beef rice roll, also not hot enough, the rice roll a bit on the thicker side, but overall it's alright. The fried dough rice roll, also not hot, the scallion taste good, but overall don't feel too fresh. The steamed beef balls, the best out of the 5 that we ordered because it's hot. The deep fried taro dumpling is also a bit different from the traditional ones, taste not salty enough, and it has corn inside(?) It's really not satisfying to have lukewarm dim sum. Tea is $2.5 per person. About the service, they are quick to bring out the dishes and take away empty dishes however, the soy sauce! For some reason, they kept on wanting to take it away even though we haven't finished with our rice rolls! And they asked us multiple times if they can take them away, AGAIN, WHEN WE HAVENT FINISHED OUR RICE ROLLS! They must be short of the soy sauce... Overall, nice and clean interior, polite staff, good to have a dim sum place in Richmond hill BUT limited selection, food not hot enough and seems a bit off from traditional yet not in a good way, tea isn't strong. During this grand opening stage 10% when you pay cash (I asked and they are not sure how long this discount will last) In terms of dim sum variety it is not a large selection but it has most of the main ones. Har gwa, siu mai, fried shrimp rolls etc. The taste is so so, nothing to write home about. The dishes comes out hot. Service was nice. We came for mother's day dinner and they kept trying to sell the prix menu. All of the dishes that came out were not hot and not seasoned enough. The restaurant was empty and that should have been a sign. We ordered the peking duck since it was advertised as a special. when we got the bill we were advised to pay in cash since we got the peking duck or they would charge the full regular price for the duck. I was already fuming that the food was not good and they over charged a few dishes. one dish that was recommended was maggie beef cubes - what we got was a handful of diced beef and a whole lot of vegetables and cashews for 30! I asked them to remove the 12% tip. i don't think the food nor the service was good. I will not be returning ever. Don't waste your money here. read more

It's nice that we don't need to travel far for dim sum anymore. Ambiance - 4/5: plenty of big tables. When you first enter, you are greeted with a sign in Chinese saying that as of April 1, 2024 between 9-10:55am, small/medium/large dishes are all priced as $4.98 per dish. Also, if you pay in cash, you get a 5% discount. Please note, this deal only applies to Monday to Friday but is applicable to both dine in and take out. You must make your order within that time frame for the early bird special to be honoured. It is spacious with good sized round tables and comfy chairs. Service - 5/5: they greet you with a smile and seat you quickly. We went right at 9am (when they open) so there was no wait time. However, it fills up pretty quick. I had to ask them to swotch out my spoon though because it was dirty. They had no problems switching it. Food came quickly. Food - 4/5: we ordred a lot of food to try: - ChiuChow dumplings: when it was piping hot, it broke apary easily. The wrapper was too soft for the contents. Otherwise, taste and flavour were great. Comes with hot sauce. - steamed siu mai with fish roe: loved it, it was huge, compared to other restuarants! - steamed chicken feet: standard. Definitely interesting - fried dough wrapped with rice roll: they cut it into small pieces already. Came with hoisin sauce and sesame paste. Surprisingly, I liked it better with the sesame paste. I found the hoisin sauce quite salty. The 2 rice rolls came with 1 small jar of soy sauce. Definitely not enough for 2 plates. Thankfully they were not in a rush to take the jar away from us. They waited until we finished both dishes. - soup dumplings: I think it's homemade because it isn't how the store brought ones look like. The dough is chewier and a little thicker. Great soup explosion when you bite into it so be careful as it is super hot. Came with the Chinese pink vinegar. - sticky rice with chicken and canopy: i quite enjoyed it. I think there was adequate filling to sticky rice ratio. There were mushrooms, minced chicken and a salted egg yolk as the filling. -steamed beancurd rolls: they added a good sized shrimp in it. Flavour was good. There is a difference between the online menu they posted on the wesbite compared to the menu you receive. The online menu had mango pudding, which is a childhood favourite of mine! I was super excited but was disappointed because it was taken off the physical menu. I would give this restaurant a zero for their Peking duck. It was a sad excuse for a Peking duck. The manager argued with us and gave us excuses for what they served. At the end they did offer to give us half a BBQ duck to make up for the sad Peking duck that was served. Still wasn't even enough and accused us of lying when can see this isn't even enough to feed two people. It looks nothing like the other Peking duck that they've served. At the very end they finally offered a full BBQ duck to make up for it. read more

We came back the next day to have dinner, because we wanted to see if the Peking duck was good safe to say it's great. My picky husband asked to have the second course with no vegetables, and our surprise, our request was granted. It's not as an extensive dinner menu as other Chinese restaurants but what they do is fantastic - the Chinese style beef tenderloin, so tender great flavours and normally we have to go to Mississauga or Scarborough to have this dish and now we just have to go close to home. Fairly new chinese restaurant that opened early 2024 in Richmond Hill. Saw some good reviews , a couple negative reviews, and wanted to see for myself. As others have claimed, I agree that the service here is friendly. Another reviewer said the food wasn't hot, but lukewarm. All the dishes I ordered were hot and fresh and tasty. The char Siu rice for $7.99 is a steal, given the quality of it. The Siu mai pork dumplings were bigger than most dim sum restaurants, and also tasted great. If you like ja Leung, the donut stick wrapped in a rice roll, it is one of the best I've had. Super fresh and crispy. I enjoyed everything here and will come back to try other dishes, such as the singapore noodles. The food quality is decent up to par I would say it's a really good deal for $4.98 with this quality wise. The most shocking and amazing thing for me is their excellent service. When you entered the door they were polite and greet you with smiles, we have been attended more than 15 times, no joke, while we were on the table, filling up hot water, checking up on us, the restaurant is about half full so for sure they are not rushing us out for that reason on weekday. It's an extreme difference last time we went there on a weekend lunch time for dim sum. It's like Day and night! We will come back and try their dinner menu on "weekday". read more

I was excited to see a dim sum restaurant in my neighborhood, unfortunately it was disappointing. We ordered $100 worth of dumplings, short ribs, shrimp rice rolls, soup and bbq pork buns. The service is horrible ! we order the lunch combo with the bbq assorted dish, we told the waitress that some of us are Muslim, we don't want bbq pork . Finally the assorted bbq dish arrived on the table with the bbq pork ( Chai Sui) , she told us that the combo can't be changed and left . we looked each other and felt her attitude can't be accepted. They are not busy with only few tables at noon time but the waiters and waitress are not serving the clients, they look to the ceilings to ignore all requests. Never, Never to go again .
