    Tofu flower 手工豆花

This restaurant is in the middle on the way between our house and the daycare center our son goes to. It means we pass it by almost everyday. Its sign is very eye catching for us or the people who read Chinese. A big red sign saying "蘇good" which is a pun joke because it's pronounced like "so good". We finally got a chance to visit it and we're definitely not disappointed! The prices of meals are reasonable. If I recall correctly, it's like $50 for three dishes. For a decent dinner table like that, it's not cheap but okay . Each dish was cooked very well. Delicious and had wok hai. There will be a dessert after the meal, a bowl of tofu flower for each person. That dessert is a true hidden gem. Silky smooth and moderate sweetness and perfect warmth. I wonder why no one mentioning it before, it is very good. We can come back to this restaurant just for the dessert.

A cozy Hong Kong-style café with about a dozen tables -- not a big place, but friendly and casual, perfect for a quick meal with family or kids. Prices are reasonable, and they have a great variety of curry dishes along with other classic HK café items. The food is tasty, and the service is quick and efficient. Overall, a nice neighborhood spot for a casual bite when you're craving simple, comforting Hong Kong-style food.

This is a solid neighbourhood Chinese restaurant serving up set dinners and classic dishes from steamed fish to ginger scallion chicken to sweet & sour pork. It's bustling and filled with regular customers. While the food & service isn't standout amazing and the restaurant interior could be cleaner and modernized, honestly, you're coming here for a casual, filling, family style meal in an old school style Chinese restaurant.

We frequent this place alot. Service is quick and staff are helpful. Love the variety of dishes. We picked up some classics the curry beef brisket was wonderful... beef was nice and tender and juicy. The beef ho fun was cooked just right... beef wasn't artificially too soft. And the sweet and sour pork was still crispy on the out side. All just as I expected. But the Kung pos chicken didn't taste like what I've had at other places... it was very saucy and not that spicy... didn't have much chicken. Then there was the fried pork ribs... the flavor was fine but I didn't redirect such a thick batter on them... I was redirecting them to be like salt pepper squid... very lightly battered. Last time I gave them 4 stars... this time with the misteps... 3 stars

A little off the beaten track for us but this was recommended by friends who have been here for dinner and liked it. This is HK diner style, they serve breakfast, lunch, Chinese mid afternoon tea and dinner. We stopped for a quick lunch and ordered a fish ball rice noodle soup and a baked rice with chicken. Both items came with your standard choice of hot drink or cold drink for an extra cost. Chicken on the baked rice came with skin and there was hardly any cheese on top. Flavour was okay, you could tell the sauce was very tomato soup based. Fish ball noodle soup was okay as well. Addition of pieces of preserved vegetables was a nice touch. Fish balls are the type you can buy at the grocery store. We were warned it could get loud in here and even with a low late lunch crowd we could hear evidence of this. Service was good, we were originally seated at a table for two but the waitress move us to a table for 4 because it wasn't busy. If you don't finish your meal and need a takeout container you will be charged for the container! 30 cents for each container. A okay experience.

Finally got a chance to come here to check it out! Thought they were closed on the day the restaurant was closed on Tuesday with its minimal decor I thought it went out of business again! As this place has changed names quite a few times! Came here for a quick lunch, everything came out super fast and hit! They were super busy with every table filled by the time 12:30pm hit! Took off a star as they did charge 0.30 for takeout box for leftovers! Will remember to bring a container with me next time!

This place is a bit far so probably won't go there too often. You get the traditional HK dishes. We shared 2 dinner combo dishes which also comes with soup of the day and a heaping bowl of rice. I enjoyed the beef stir fry better so I ate that a lot with rice. As for the eggplant with minced pork was not as tasty. I felt it was a bit sweet, but it was supposed to be spicy, didn't taste the spicy at all. The food service was paced okay. We got the bone soup, when almost finished than we got the eggplant dish, but I felt the beef stir fry was delivered slowly, usually Chinese restaurants deliver almost at the same time. The restaurant was pretty spacious, but a bit cold.

Great place for authentic chinese food and dinner. Note: $0.35 for takeout containers. If you want to come for dinner between Friday-Sunday, then reservation is a must. It also gets super packed...super loud...soooo loud...you gotta be prepared to raise your voice. We got the lobster combo and a noodle dish. The dishes were huge and our table was quite small for the amount of dishes. The chairs weren't comfortable as well... Anyways, food was great and what surprised me was fries with lobster. LOL. We saw them serving fries with chicken too... perhaps the same fries from lunch?

So Good is so good for their lunch special! I highly recommended to drop by for lunch. The restaurant is busy even on a weekday lunch time. Understaffed but the waitresses all trying their best to serve all the customers as best as they possibly can. Their Baked Pork Chop with Rice was "so good". I also enjoyed their rice noodle dish! For lunch the portion is huge as we ended up packing a whole lunch box full of leftover. (Pro Tip: there is a charge of 20 cents each for takeout boxes) Dinner time So Good has a total different menu, geared more to family and group. Meal combo and fresh seafood also on the menu. We ordered a combo with 3 dish, which were decent but won't be the reason for me to come back again for dinner. Since there are not too many other options of Hong Kong Style Cafe for lunch in the immediate area. I would come back again for some reasonably priced lunch special set with HK Milk Tea!

Definitely can't complain about more cha cha teng places opening up, especially on this side of Richmond Hill. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was getting busy near lunch time. Ordered two dishes and thought they both had good presentation, however the Portuguese chicken was lacking in flavour and depth. It tasted mostly of cheese vs any coconut and other spices. The noodles were decent though and would recommend. The disappointment though was the HK style tea. This is always my test for a restaurant and unfortunately this one didn't pass. Even though it came is the standard tea set that made me think it'd be good, it was watery and not thick and creamy. Might give this place one more chance in awhile.

Local cafe that's also serving HongKong style hot food 咖哩牛腩飯,牛腩剛好夠身夠味多味。 黑椒雞扒意粉,雞扒煎得脆,份量夠唯欠汁少點但味道好。 Service as it's name "So Good ". Chef's came n advised eat food while hot The HK style Tea come in just in time As usual no Credit Card only cash or debit

    Still doing test opening

Have been back a few more times since their opening. Service is a lot more speedier, however the noise level during their peak hour is still very loud. My advice... If you are ordering their fresh made food ie stir fried. You can ask to have your order made with less salt and no MSG. It actually taste better (more like home cooked food... LoL)

The restaurant is small but quite clean inside. It looks like they recently renovated. The service wasn't as good as some of the other reviews suggested, but it was pretty much what you would expect from a typical Hong Kong café--very casual. We ordered the chicken with vegetables. There was a good variety of vegetables, and the portions were quite large. However, the plate was so small that it was difficult to get to the food underneath if it wasn't on top. I don't understand why they couldn't simply use a bigger plate, which seems like the easiest solution after a renovation. The prices weren't as good as we had anticipated. Maybe we just didn't order the right dishes. They also offer dish combos, but instead of letting you choose the dishes, they have set combinations to choose from, very limited choices.

The macaroni soup was just okay, very much the kind of simple comfort food that fills you up, but nothing especially memorable. I was most excited for the signature beef sandwich, but it didn't fully meet my expectations. The burger/sandwich itself was smaller than I imagined, and it only had about 2-3 pieces of beef brisket inside with marinated bell peppers and their homemade sauce. The sauce leaned sweeter than expected, which might work for some people, but personally I was hoping for something more savoury and more generous with the beef. However, the brisket was tender, which was a win... ish. Overall, still a decent spot if you're craving classic HK cafe vibes and variety, especially for a casual meal with family.
