I usually pick up tea from Dragonfly Tea Zone at the weekend market, but I recently realized they have a physical location closer to me. Since I haven't been able to make it to the market lately, I decided to check it out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the space is very clean and well-kept, and the atmosphere is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I especially enjoyed the experience of picking out my own tea, weighing it, and labeling it myself--it felt much more personal and relaxed compared to the usual rush and chaos at the market. That was definitely a highlight for me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also tried their mango peach topper smoothie and added chamoy and Tajín--honestly, it was so good. I definitely should have gotten a larger size because the regular just wasn't enough. That drink alone is worth coming back for. The only downside was the customer service. The staff member I interacted with wasn't very knowledgeable and wasn't able to answer my questions. At the market, I'm used to staff being helpful and able to guide me through different teas and their benefits, but here, most of my questions were met with "I don't know" or "I don't work with the teas." She did point me to a section on the wall with some information about the teas and their benefits, which was helpful to a point. However, there was one term that appeared on several teas that wasn't explained on the wall, and she wasn't able to clarify it. I ended up looking it up myself, which wasn't a big deal for me--but I can see how that could be frustrating for someone new to loose-leaf tea who's relying on staff for guidance. Overall, a nice location with a more relaxed and personal shopping experience, but improved staff knowledge would make a big difference. read more

I have been to Dragonfly's River Market and Northland location, but last week was my first visit to their 39th St shop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really liked the set up - a much more relaxed and comfortable environment than the Northland and certainly not as busy as the River Market usually is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lady behind the counter was very friendly and welcoming, I usually don't get that up north. My Vietnamese Iced coffee was wonderful. A most definite return trip when I'm back on restaurant row. read more

Man their tea is always tasty once you figure out your style and preferences! If you don't want to finish your drink all at once, I really recommend the jellies, they're nice and chewy like boba but don't fit hard if you leave them in the fridge overnight. read more

Ordered online hours in advance for a specific time but had my order cancelled while waiting in line to pick-up. I drove all the way here for nothing and they had 4 to 5 hours in between where they could've cancelled and saved me a lot of time and gas! There is also no free parking here so it is very hard to find somewhere to park for a few minutes and run inside for mobile pick-up or takeout! read more

I've been here about three times now, and all were great experiences. The drinks were yummy and the perfect portion size in my opinion. I recommend the Taro Milk Tea with Boba which is super rich, sweet, and slightly floral. If you're looking for something more light, the Vietnamese Iced Coffee is very refreshing. The employee working there never fails to greet you as you walk in. The tea was pretty good and the selection was broad, but off limits due to covid. I gave 2 stars since I was overcharged and had to repeat my order 3 times and it still was wrong. This cafe was really cute inside! I came here with a couple of friends after work. My first time here. There were tea selections in the back area and many merch to buy, including cute mini boba plushy! I got a taro drink which came with boba, but I didn't want that so I told the guy, and he was very friendly and quick with fixing that for me. So, I appreciate that very much. No yelling or fuss, it was easily taken care of. I just thought it was a tad bit sweet for my liking but it was okay! If in the area, it's an okay stop. Love this place always gives me amazing service and the tea is by far some of the best. I grew up in Los Angeles where Tea Houses are in almost any neighborhood. I drive almost 20 miles to come to Dragonfly Tea Zone and it is worth every mile and my time. I always stock up and order a few drinks. The tea was watered down and they got my order wrong. I ordered no boba but they added mushy boba into my tea. Even at 25% or 50% sweetness, the tea should still taste like tea. I was very disappointed in the service and quality. read more

Matcha milk tea - I don't know exactly how they made it, but the green tea powder was on the bottom of my drink in chunks, so every time I took a sip, I was we could say eating matcha. Terrible. Thai iced tea - super watered down. Just like other people said. So, both drinks ended up being a waste. Not to mention, the employees (a girl and a boy) didn't greet me, cause they were so busy talking about another customer, the girl that just left the store. Not coming back. Do not recommend. Also, for anyone wondering "why didn't go back and exchange?" I don't live in that area anymore, and was super excited to get GoCha, but they were closed. So we ended up at this place.
