I received bids at a lower price but I was also chasing after those plumbers (for days) to get the bid in writing, had to ask the same question multiple times to get an answer and 2 of them were over 30 minutes late to bid the job. I called them to snake the line and the tried to tell me after 5minutes they couldn't do it and needed to be hydrojetted. They gave some outrageous price & insisted I have the work done that day. If you have a drain or septic tank/leach field problem this company is tops. We were needing our septic tank pumped out yearly because of backing up drains in the house. I finally decided to have an inspection of my 45 year old system. Drain Master found underground pipes that were crushed and a distribution box that was broken. Living in a condo, Drain Masters happens to be a vendor for our HOA. After weeks of trying to set up an appointment for cleaning out a community drain which access happens to be in my patio, they finally contacted the HOA, (NOT ME!) and announced they were coming December 5, which was a day when I could not be here. Kindly, my neighbor gave them access to do their job, which requires, each year, removing one of my patio tiles. My neighbor did that part for them. When I got home from work, the job had been "done", my patio was not only wet, but filthy. And the tile had not been re-caulked or replaced properly. I left the caulk there so they would have access to it. They had opened the caulk and even left their caulking gun behind. After the rains passed, because that was their excuse, I called and said the tile had not been seated properly nor caulked. I never heard back from them, but then I found out they called my neighbor! After another month, I called again and left a lengthy message explaining all the above and explained it is not my neighbor's responsibility to complete the job, can somebody please contact me. As of today, February 4, it has not been done and nobody there has responded to me. I would say 0 stars, and if not for them being HOA vendors, would never use them personally. read more

I hired this company to replace the lateral sewer line. I had requested bids from a few companies that came out with cameras to inspect the job. Some were outrageously expensive or never provided a bid after multiple calls . Very frustrating! Finally, I called Drain Masters on a friend's recommendation. They responded quickly, Inspected the lines while showing us the video and explaining the problem, and provided a reasonable bid. They were able to do the job within a few days and showed up promptly on the date. They worked efficiently and neatly. The job required accessing the pipes by cutting holes through concrete in two places. It was completed in two days. This company is very professional and knowledgeable about sewer lines. We had a sewer pipe break under our home, causing the sewage water from three units to spill into the crawlspace. The first emergency plumber we called made the problem worse and let us know he did not have the right equipment to help us. Drain Masters came out quickly, solved the problem, and was fairly priced. What more could you want? I'd definitely use them again.

I needed to have an inspection of a downspout pipe that went underground. The pipe had been capped off, and the previous owner of my home replaced it by attaching the downspout to a different, cheap pipe. It looked like an amateurish kludge to me. So I assumed that the pipe that was capped off was blocked. I wanted an expert who understood drainage and had the necessary inspection equipment. So I contacted Drain Masters based on prior reviews and expertise in drainage as listed by the company. Ian from the company performed an optical inspection on both the capped off pipe and the "kludgy" pipe. He pushed his optical inspection camera into both pipes and discovered that both pipes daylighted around 50 - 75 feet away in around the same area (on the side of a hill). He did not find any obstruction in either pipe. In addition, he inspected some area drains that led to the capped off pipe and verified that they were also unobstructed. Although neither Ian nor I can figure out why the "kludgy" pipe was installed to begin with (and why the original pipe was capped), I am happy that at least the mystery about whether both pipes worked was solved. Based on Ian's inspection, I will probably uncap the original pipe, redirect the downspout to it and abandon the kludgy pipe. While Ian worked, I continued to ask him questions about my exterior home drainage, and he was happy to answer me and give me his expert opinion. I found Ian to be extremely competent, honest and a delight to interact with. I would like to give Drain Masters my highest rating. read more

12+ years I've worked in local real estate and I schedule all the inspections for every transaction (sales/purchases) and I've always had excellent feedback from sellers/buyers for every inspection with Drain Masters, so when it came time that I needed plumbing work at my own home, they were the first ones I called. Michelle in the office is friendly and efficient, took down my info and told me that Chris would call me back shortly to discuss details and provide a quote. Sure enough, within an hour, I received his call, we reviewed the details and he gave me a quote that was more than acceptable for the work I needed done (scope & snake four clean outs and check main to the street), and he said Michelle would call me back to schedule. To my surprise they were available within two days and we had a date! The morning of my appointment, I received a call from Michelle that my technician was stuck at a prior (to my) job that turned out to be much bigger than expected, which I know all too well happens, and for me, it was absolutely no problem, as I work from home (I know this may not be ideal for everyone) but I appreciated her timely call and we rescheduled for a little later in the day. My technician, Paul, arrived about 15min earlier than expected, but all good - and after showing him the 4 cleanouts, he got right to it and within about an hour, he was all done.
