While speaking to the receptionist, a rude man claiming to be a doctor interrupted, dismissively said they don't offer it, and then started speaking Korean to the receptionist, clearly about me. I paid an extra $15 for oil and hot stone and after 45 minutes of the worse massage she drenched me with oil (still no actual massage) and just glided hot stones across my back as if I was an air hockey table. After the worst massage I've ever had and feeling really emotional about how I just got taken advantage of and my knots and stiffness fully intact, she then handed me a nasty ass tea and disgusting candies and then asked me how I'd like to pay a tip. He slathered so much oil all over my body that afterwards my clothes, hair, feet was drenched in oil. Pressure was weak and knots still there. This isn't your normal massage place. Their focus is true treatment. Have a bad back? Neck issues? Muscle aches? This is the go to place for those issues. My sister and I have been looking for a masseuse for a while since the pandemic. Our mom actually found this place on a website that promotes Korean businesses in Ktown LA. We were a little hesitant because we didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised! First off, you MUST make an appointment. They will not see any walk-ins. It's their way to monitor who they service and deny. Once you get there, they will buzz you in. Again, this is to monitor who's allowed to gain entrance. Parking is REALLY small. I'd suggest you go in a group to carpool. Once you get inside, you're escorted to the front. There's an actual male physician (MD) to diagnose you to perform the massage. This is because of the whole CoVid situation. No massages due to CoVid, unless it's medically necessary. They will take your temperature first and then you hand sanitize before you fill out the proper forms. The guy is arrogant AF, but you only deal with him so he "accepts you" as a client. You'll actually deal with the ladies who are the actual masseurs. And ask for JULIE. She's the manager and she's FANTASTIC!! So nice and so knowledgeable. Although this is a Korean business, the ladies speak English very well for older ladies. And don't knock the way they look. They may be little, but they pack a PUNCH. I always had male masseurs for deep tissue massages, but these ladies were better and knew where to target exactly. We originally signed up for their current special - 60 minute massage for $60.00, but decided on the 90 minute massage for $90.00. I want to be clear, this is a FULL body massage. They attack your problems areas. They're not like your typical masseur where the masseuse goes easy on you when you tell them to go easy. These ladies tell you they have to go hard to get those kinks out. And they go hard. We also added a 90 min facial, which was extremely informative. I had no idea, but I actually had kinks in my face. I apparently hold my stress in my neck AND face. It was worth it for me and my sister. We will be back and we will be telling our inner circle as well. Super friendly service and a true strong massage at affordable prices, this is a definite try. And you will be down to your undies... fair warning, but they hit you head to toe. When you call, if they don't answer, leave a message. Call the number that's handwritten in the picture. There will be an actual person who'll answer that number. Also, this place is extremely clean and professional. That's always important to me. The prices were written on the menu kind of funny and the way the host explained it to me was kind of strategic now that i think about it. Jenny and another person had a cough. Jenny was pressing buttons in my ear. I swear I wanted to just pick my head and see wtf she was doing. She did a lottttt of one hand massage bro all over my body. Never ever experienced that. Pressure wasnt great. Did not do lower back or front of body. Leg part of massage wasnt great. She did my head a lot which seemed redundant. Lights were really bright, that was different, wasnt as relaxing. Massage wasnt relaxing, it was actually kind of annoying. She left the room a lot!. And cleared her throat about every 15 mins. There was two times when she was doing the one hand massage i was about to just get up and leave, it was annoying! ... there was two times i was about to go get her some damn water. I tipped her 20 only because i dont wanna hear no crap. She only did hot stone on back. She did wipe off the oil good. But each time she did it for the back and then the legs, that hot towel made me tear up, i just took a big big deep breath, and we laughed. I went to get a couple's massage with Nancy & May. May worked on me and it was absolutely amazing. It is hands-down the best massage I have ever received. What I love about this place is that with any of the massages that they do, it feels like they're also doing energy work and really focusing on the points that have a lot of tension. There are areas of my body that no other masseuse has been able to unlock in a way that May did - those areas for me hold a lot of trauma and I felt openness & ease after the session.
