It is so nice to be able to have a full home cooked meal ready in less than 30 minutes.... throw in a few microwavable steamed veggies and it's like you're back at Mom's. Making a month's worth of meals hardly takes any time at all when you arrive at dream dinners. All the stations are stocked and ready for you based on your order and the time slot you reserved. My wife and I working together can do 12-14 meals in just about an hour. I've done it by myself in about an hour and a half. I love the fact that because you're preparing everything yourself you can cater the recipe to your taste. Don't like olives? Skip it. Love garlic? Throw an extra scoop in there... The frequent buyers club is great too. We've been going here the last 7 months or so and every few bills we get a 10% and sometimes 20% discount. I figure each serving comes out to about $5-6 a person which is definitely cheaper than eating out and mostly cheaper than the grocery store. The quality of the meals is great. Usually 75% of them taste delicious and the other 25% are ok/good. Nothing has been bad. The owners are very friendly and the staff will always lend you a hand if you need it.

I'll tell ya why: because I can prep a whole month's worth of dinner in less than an hour, that's why! I chose to make 36 servings of food (3 or 6 servings of different entrees), which lasts my husband and I about a month, since we go out to eat and travel quite a bit each month. It cost about $155. At first that sounded pricey, but that's pretty much what we spend at the grocery each month anyway. The ingredients used are high quality and the recipes are very tasty. You choose your menu beforehand (it changes monthly, so you're never eating the same thing), and when you arrive, your little recipe and instruction sheets are already printed out for you. You simply go from station to station (there is one station per each menu item) and put your meals together. This involves measuring and mixing items, and putting them into the freezable containers provided. Like I said, mine took less than an hour, which is usually the amount of time it takes me to get in and out of the grocery store in a week. You bring everything home and just thaw out the meal you want to cook. Each meal takes 30 minutes or less to cook at home, but that's not active time for the cook - you typically just throw your meal in the oven or on the stove and let it go while you get other stuff done. There is a huge variety in the menu. We've had two kinds of pork chops, salmon, baked breaded cod, and a plethora of various chicken recipes. I don't eat beef and I prefer to cook healthy, so I check the handy nutritional info on each recipe before I place my order. Nutritional info is available online or in the store. If I wasn't concerned with calories, there are plenty of other recipes that really catch my eye! Our favourites have been the Kentucky Pork Chops, Sesame Seed Covered Chicken and California Chicken (a creamy casserole with tons of artichokes and tomatoes). Not a huge fan of the Chicken Marsala, but it was still edible, just not a favourite in our house. The owner is very sweet and remembers me from visit to visit. The facility is also clean...spotless...and they come in behind you at each station and clean up so you are always starting at a clean workspace. And you don't have to clean up your own messes, another bonus! They have a pretty nifty referral program and "frequent shopper" program that gives you a percentage off your order each month. If anyone reads my review and decides to give Dream Dinners a shot, please use me as your referral! Also feel free to send me a message with any questions this review didn't answer.

You order at the counter and the server will bring the food out to you. We got chicken and waffle & chicken and pancake, French toast with side of scrambled eggs, and an iced lavender latte and English breakfast hot tea. The food & drinks quickly came out, which is always greatly appreciated when dining with kids. The chicken was a generous portion and juicy. The butter had a unique flavor and paired well with the chicken. The pancake and waffle were also big portions. The latte was sweet and well balanced. The manager came around checking on us and was very attentive when I needed to request an extra cup of hot water for our tea. The floral wall decor and light fixture gives such a cozy vibe. Service was top notch and friendly! We definitely will consider coming back soon again.

Portions are large/filling and we felt the food was delicious and a good value for money. When we arrived the line was long and menus were not available so we had to search for the menu on the website to avoid deciding at the counter and holding up the people behind us. After ordering, tables were cleaned consistently and service was friendly. Only feedback about seating was outside parties would take chairs from other tables and leave them with no seating and not all tables we're shaded. The drinks being available at the bar when it is busy and then food being delivered to the table was a bit clunky. I picked up water and utensils for our party before sitting and would have preferred to have to pick everything up at the counter or have everything brought to the table to avoid multiple trips around when the restaurant is busy.

My family and I finally decided to check out this place when we were in the City of Bellaire area…read more The name sounded cute and the indoor casual/chill decor made it feel inviting & homey. The employee seemed like he was the only one and there was a couple dining in who seemed to be regulars after their farewells. I didn't realize it was a build your own bowl/sandwich/salad concept which I thought was unique! Everything was packaged nicely to go since we had to eat at home. I did make the mistake of not checking the order because we realized the pho broth wasn't included which was disappointing! I ended up not going back or calling to report it since I knew it would be too inconvenient to drive all the way back. After the kids refused it, I did try it vermicelli style but the steak was little too salty. The beef banh mi was good but the portion was much smaller than I expected compared to a traditional size. The eggrolls were also on the smaller side but were decent typically eggrolls. I also ended up trying the lychee lemonade but the flavoring wasn't as well balanced. Overall it was not as satisfactory as I would have hoped but wouldn't mind giving another chance to try other menu items like the pork banh mi or viet coffee. Edit after establishment's comment: I realized my misunderstanding of the menu of no broth included now. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the steak as vermicelli and salad style as much either. Thank you for the clarification.

Answer - "sorry we can only put that on a receipt." Well - I will order after I relieve myself. Answer - "Sorry we can't do that. We have had too many problems". I am thinking WTF kind of problems?!?! So, while about to pee myself, I ordered a Bhan mi pork and I'll just have a cup of water to drink. "Sorry - we only have bottled water (which I don't drink due to microplastics in the environment). " So I get a receipt (not mine) with the restroom code scribbled on back WHICH DOES NOT WORK!! I am 60 years old and my bladder is not that strong!! Luckily a bus boy saw me and had mercy with his code. Jeeze! I felt like I was in junior high school!! I beg these guys to change their policy if they want adults to eat here. Got my sandwich which was hot and adequate but nothing to get excited bout for $11. Roostar and Pho Prime have no competition!! So thought I would round out the meal with some soft serve. $5.50 for soft serve ? No thanks. I'll stop at Chickfilet $(1.80)! Will not be back. This place should be named "Miracle". It's a miracle it's still open! Too many good options elsewhere. I'll leave this place for the Junior high 6th-8th Grade set. Good luck Nom Nom!

The restaurant has two locations in Houston, and the one near Chinatown offers plenty of parking and a recently renovated, clean and bright dining space. There are also private rooms with a traditional style atmosphere. The buffet area is very well stocked with a wide variety of vegetables, tofu, noodles, meatballs, and even seafood. There are also extra side dishes, including crispy fried chicken, which is especially good. There are four soup bases to choose from, including original bone broth, spicy broth, sour tomato, and herbal style. The broth is simmered for over six hours using beef bones and chicken, giving it a rich flavor with a slight cumin aroma. The meat selection is impressive, including wagyu beef, lamb slices, Angus beef, chicken, and several marinated options. The higher tier even includes wagyu for under 30 dollars, which is excellent value. Overall, this is one of the best value all you can eat hot pot spots in Houston with consistent refills, good quality, and a wide variety of options.

We've previously enjoyed doing the best of both worlds pairing, but since they've added Tom Yum, we now do the pot split 3 ways. The self-serve buffet always has fresh veggies and seafood choices. Our favorites include the spinach, bok choy, shrimp, clams, sweet potato, corn, and pumpkin. I think they've done away with the lobster balls which used to be my favorite, but I've since switched to dumplings which are tasty. I love the items from the hot bar- the orange chicken is yummy. The service here is always attentive and friendly. Hot Pot here always hits.
