Service is ok. But luckily most of it is self serve. Lots of hot pot options. Not tons of sauce selection. Has egg noodles and fried rice with some desserts. Wish there was more sauces to select from tho. Over still one of my favorite spots for hot pot. Clean. Fresh.

Always a great meal. I prefer to go at lunch time as there is usually no wait for a table (or finding parking).

I feel like this is a hotpot place that you really can't go wrong with. I love that it's a non-Bellaire option too. My group and I walked in on a weekday evening and were seated immediately. They're an AYCE hotpot restaurant priced at a similar point compared to other ayce hotpot places in Houston. My friends and I chose to have their premium menu that was ~ $30. The broths were flavorful and the meat options were solid. There's a bar area full of vegetables, sauces, dumplings, sauces and more. Service was pretty quick too.

When you ordered the third plate , they gave you really FATTY FAATTTT beef , look at the ratio, almost 20 to 80 fat

the last time I came , there were very few people , today at 1:40 PM still 3 parties ahead of us , better make waitlist ahead of time. The cleaning guy should spray less so it don'tdo on to other tables that's still eating !

Came here on a Saturday it was 60 bucks for two people AYCE style. There is a salad bar. You can also get noodles, sauces, and desserts in that area. Drinks our self serve at the fountain drink machine. The menu is a little small as far as the types of meats you can order. You can get up to 3 broths. If you get 2 broths, there is no additional fee but I think there is a fee if you get 3. The spicy broth wasn't very spicy to me but had really good flavor. The only thing I would also comment is that if it's your first time, I wish they would do an explanation. The place was very busy, it's good. The meat is good but obviously it's not seasoned since the broth is well seasoned. Overall good service, good vibes, good value.

This used to be our favorite place. Now they charge a hidden $2 base fee per person that's not included in the all-you-can-eat price and is printed in very small font on the table menu. You only notice it after sitting down--reading glasses definitely help.

Solid hot pot on this side of town. It's all you can eat with two different menu options, one with more premium meat options. I opted for the premium menu. It's cafeteria style where you can fill your plates with whatever veggies and carbs you want. The meats were plated very beautifully. Both soup bases were very flavorful though I will say the spicy broth wasn't very spicy... Overall, a good bang for your buck if you're craving hot pot and can't make it to Chinatown!

This place is pretty decent. The choices of meat are solid for any hot pot places but the choices of sides is amazing. I love that there is vegetables, eggs, and other side dishes. My friends and I looooves the fried chicken. 10/10 We came in on a Sunday so it was pretty busy but it seemed as they were short staff. Nevertheless they were pretty nice. It's a clean establishment and very well lit. It's a good spot to hang with friends for sure

If you haven't had hot pot, then this place is worth a try to have a taste of boiling your own meat Chinese style. We tried the lower cost ayce hot pot, was very good. For about $30 per person after tax, you can't go wrong with it. Decent choices for basic hot pot needs with their lower cost version. Free soft drinks, but wine and beer cost extra. Service is nice for a buffet, but you might need to get their attention if for example the Diet Coke is out. They also have fried chicken wings, sweet and sour chicken and fried rice/noodles for your "traditional" taste. Serving areas are fairly clean as well. The plates for the higher cost one looked better, aka the angus beef, so we might try that next time. Make sure to separate your utensils for raw things and cook your meat thoroughly.

Always a pleasure to eat at happy lamb.... It's my happy place lol but the Chicago locations where always good ( China town location is hit or miss on freshness and cleanliness) Veggies are always fresh, sauce bar is great, drinks included and dessert varies depending on location.

I LOVE this place. I go here after work and go crazy with it. I love this place. never a wait and the food and service is AMAZING. AND CLEAN.

    Gao J.

Food was great, but the service... not so much. One server kept rolling their eyes and acted super cold the whole time, which kind of killed the vibe. Aside from that, everything else was awesome. The lamb rolls were delicious, especially with the herbal-tasting broth -- it has this slight "medicine" flavor that actually feels really healthy and perfect for winter. If the spicy pot isn't spicy enough, just ask them to throw in more chili. The roasted lamb leg was the real star -- seriously amazing. I'd totally come back, not for the service, but for the food.

Meat selection was very limited. If you're not a fan of lamb, this is probably NOT the place to go. But if you are like me, and love lamb as well as beef, then welcome! I got their spicy soup and traditional soup. Both were a bit "medicine-y" in taste, but nice flavor once you get past that. And I got the top level spicy but didn't even get a tickle. Service was quick, although they put my food at the wrong table. Upside; there wasn't anyone sitting at the table next to me. So easy enough for them to move all over to my table. Nice selection of veggies and seafood. Even had a cooked food buffet. Your meal comes with a drink. They have a self serve soda fountain as well as a couple of iced teas to choose from. Saw ice cream, but it was dine in only. So couldn't take it to go with me back to work. So had to skip that.

The downside is knowing the limitations that come with affordably priced buffets and quality of food. The official entrance is from the parking lot between Vinh Hoa (#2) and the massage. Plenty of folks will also enter from the back, which is through the Dynasty Plaza mall and takes a bit longer. It then becomes a question of stairs (parking lot) versus an escalator (mall). At $18-24 (lunch to holiday pricing), the prices aren't too steep for AYCE food. Kids 3 and under eat free but are otherwise subject to $13-14 per person. Non-water drinks are $2.39 a person, so definitely get as many refills as possible. The place is as massive on the inside as it looks on the outside. Window side seating offers an elevated view of Chinatown, but don't focus too much on the excessive finger prints along the windows. The seating is so abundant that almost any size group should have zero problem finding space. There is also a large private room that is ideal for special functions, equipped with TVs and a sound system. Food wise, it's a hodgepodge of all food types. Here's a breakdown in the stations: Mongolian Grill / Noodle Soup: This is a combo station where one can customize their stir fry. I had decent results with lo mein, an egg, some vegetables with beef slices. The person cooking drizzled sesame oil, soy sauce seasoning, and water and each time it took around 3-5 minutes. The noodle soups are a bit more standard but the options here are the noodle options are wonton noodle, beef noodle, seafood noodle, and beef pho. I wouldn't recommend ordering the latter. Fruits & Salads / Cold Dishes / Seafood: A standard selection of cold fruit salads, which is unsurprisingly the least exciting part of the buffet. I'm impressed with the variety of the sushi on the seafood end, but the presentation and fish quality is extremely mediocre. It won't deter most folks, since most people perceive value by loading up on the rolls. When in doubt, shoot for the sashimi. Entrees: With the exception of the eyesore dim sum and standard fried food selection, there is a solid selection of hot food. The weekend offerings is probably the best they'll have, but some standouts here included the thin ribeye slices, a solid mapo tofu with a kick, well seasoned clams, fish slices, pork spare ribs, a very solid steamed fish, and several varieties of fried noodle. Folks might enjoy the Chinese-American selection, which should have all the classics (sesame chicken, beef with broccoli, marinated chicken wings, etc.) and then some. Serviced as a decent job of clearing tables, offering water refills, cleaning the food counters, and replenishing empty trays. I appreciate some small touches, such as their multicolored plates for different selections, bathrooms, and well marked labels. Buffet lovers who are in it for the thrill of copious portions will likely enjoy what's available here. __________ (#1) Aside from one's waistline. (#2) https://www.yelp.com/biz/vinh-hoa-houston

The hot buffet bar was not filled at all, some were even just empty. I found it disappointing that we didn't get to try a lot of their items. The hot buffet bar was really scarce, I mean, just fried dumplings and fries but they were refilled really slow and some never had refills. The boba bar was empty and never filled. The DIY ramen station was closed off. I tipped only because I felt like I had to, but the service was abysmal. I would come back but maybe for lunch instead of dinner. Hopefully service improves.

I'm so glad that I finally got to try sweet pot! It's so great to try a bunch of foods that you…read morenormally wouldn't order at non ayce places. I think for the experience the price was well worth it! I recommend you upgrade and do the 28.45 dinner portion as you have full access to the menu. My favorite dishes were the fried pork belly- so crispy and yummy And the rose broth pot was so savory and sweet- would love to get this again. Service was fantastic! The owner and Nathan were amazing! Inside is really cute and and great for bigger groups.

This BBQ spot felt like the kind of place where you can truly slow down and enjoy a good meal…read more The aroma of grilled meat fills the air, but in a warm, comforting way rather than anything overwhelming. The meat was fresh and perfectly cooked--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and deeply satisfying. The side dishes were thoughtfully done as well, light and refreshing. I really appreciated the atmosphere here--relaxed, unpretentious, and just right for a long conversation or even a quiet meal on your own. Service was easygoing and attentive in a very natural way--present when needed, never intrusive. Overall, it's the kind of place I'd happily return to--not just for the food, but for how comfortable it makes you feel.

After not visiting for several years, I was excited to give this place another try, but…read moreunfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. The first red flag was arriving to find the banchan and salad already sitting on the table. Everything was warm, which made it seem like it had been sitting out for a while rather than being freshly served. After placing our order, only part of the meal arrived. We eventually had to ask about the missing soup and japchae. When the soup finally came out, it was cold. We later learned the wrong bowl had been brought out. Once the correct soup arrived, it was piping hot, packed with flavor, and had just the right amount of spice, easily one of the highlights of the meal. My husband was especially disappointed to learn that the beef belly, the dish he specifically came for, was completely sold out...on a Friday night. The fried shrimp also came out cold, and the popcorn chicken was underwhelming. Thankfully, not everything missed the mark. The beef bulgogi and kalbi were both flavorful and satisfying, and the pork cheek was served in generous, meaty portions that were perfect for sharing. Overall, the meal felt inconsistent. There were a few standout dishes, but between the service delays, missing items, and several dishes arriving cold, the experience didn't live up to the memories I had of dining here years ago. Would I come back? Probably not. Houston has too many great Korean BBQ options to overlook this many service and quality issues. While a few dishes were enjoyable, the overall experience simply wasn't worth the visit.
