I asked for cow print on my nails and all she did was the blooming gel and it looks nothing like what I asked for. My manicure was sloppy and I could tell she was clearly rushing and didn't care what my manicure looked like. She didn't give the gel enough time to sit and finish. These are the worst nails I've ever had. I requested acrylic with regular polish. I was told to sit in the dryer for 20 minutes. At 15 I noticed blemishes in my polish. Had to go to different nail tech because my usual one is out of town so I got stuck with Angela who didn't seem like she knew what was doing. It took so much longer than normal, and she kept cutting my skin (on almost all my nails) and leaving blood without even wiping it away or saying anything. Overall, not a good experience. read more

My daughter and I got fill-ins and pedicures. Neither of our toe nails ever dried so we went back to get them repolished. The work was very sloppy and they were clearly upset about redoing them. I have been getting my nails done at various salons for 30+ years and I can't remember ever going back because the work was bad. My fill-in looked like it was 2 weeks old because of how far away from my cuticle it was. I asked about it and they reluctantly repainted them. The only reason I'm not giving this location ONE STAR is because of Mia - the kind Nail Tech who stepped in to finish my nails when (Chin) the original person refused to finish. She did a nice job touching up my nail art and she cared about what I wanted. So kudos to her! Chin, on the other hand, was incredibly unprofessional and rude. I explained to her (4) different times the type of nail art that I wanted done. Several other staff members told her as well. Yet she still seemed perplexed while doing my nails! She would draw something and then wipe it off, confused about what I wanted. When I tried one final time to clear things up for her - she blurted out "Stop talking!!" then threw her tool down and stormed away as though *I* had done something to her when she was the one being disrespectful. If I'm leaving a review for the quality of the mani and pedi, it's a solid 5, but OMG... this is the most expensive place I've ever been to for a regular polish pedicure and gel manicure with French tip. If this is what these services cost now, I'm done with it in the future. Absolutely expensive. I did a pedicure with paraffin wax and salt scrub, $63. It was great. Took an hour for each (mani and pedi). $7 for the French tip and the gel manicure was $42. Then they add tax! $118.58 and I left a $20 tip, didn't want to offend and ask for change. I got an express manicure and SNS dip service on Monday, 7/14. Today is Saturday, 7/19, and my dip is already chipping. This is definitely not worth $54. The nail technician made me bleed while working on my cuticles and instead of apologizing, she told me I needed to be careful. The color on the nails didn't come out uniform--it almost looks tie-dye like and when I asked her about it she said that's what the color is. I set an appointment for 6pm last Saturday they close at 7 but confirmed my appointment. I get there they don't know what service I'm getting even doe i put it in the email. I wanted to get two pedicures, one full in, and a regular gel manicure. When we got our pedicure they didn't asked what kind we wanted just a basic pedicure. I usually get the deluxe pedicure which is around 40 bucks, and my manicure is usually around 45-47 bucks. I was charged over a hundred dollars. The same with my daughter who got a fill in and pedicure her services was over 130 bucks. All together i spend 236 dollars. I feel like i was over charged and rushed. I was still getting service done when some lady came to get payment and made my tech stop so i can give her my card. She just stood there watching the whole time. My daughter left in tears because they didn't do the right style. My natural nails are damaged because he filed them like i had on acrylic. Over all worst experience i ever had. Still not impressed by them. Had the worst pedicure ever by Mya- a middle aged lady who seemed to have an off putting disposition. I bit my tongue while there but I think I'm done with them. One thing I've noticed and don't care for is that there's these levels of technicians. Supposedly the better they are the more you pay. After making a reservation for three for a sixteenth birthday and receiving a confirmation email and text they seemed totally unaware of us being there. The receptionist couldn't find anyone's name, seemed confused by the services we selected and was no help with any questions we had. We then waited 15-30 minutes to be called by a technician. They took each of the birthday girl's friends back separately and proceeded to do their nails in different areas of the salon, not near each other so they could talk and enjoy it together. The worst part was that the birthday girl was left waiting a full thirty minutes alone up front and it wasn't until I asked what was going on, that someone helped her. At that point, she told them what she wanted(and she knew what she wanted as she has gotten her nails done many times before but elsewhere), and they told her no, that wouldn't work and it would take too much time, not look good. In the end, they just wanted her to do something inferior so they could be done quicker. When I asked why they couldn't sit everyone together, like we had asked in the reservation, all the technicians started complaining to each other in a foreign language and huffing about us. They all seemed very inconvenienced and annoyed. In the end, they did seat the girls together, and they did get their nails done. They were however some of the most troll-like nails I've ever seen. They used SNS on one of the girls who asked for gel and put it on so thick, I'm pretty sure a first-time tech could've done it better. They took me as a walk in, which I'm grateful for as I'm in town for work, but the pedicure was 5 out of 10. I paid for the deluxe pedicure, and it wasn't that. Every time she used the pumice stone, she kept looking away, laughing and joking with her coworker, which is fine, but not at the expense of my feet. The pumice rubbed the top of my toe on three separate occasions on different toes, and I jumped back so she could know that she's scraping my top skin, but she continued. I didn't think anything of it, until it was time to put my feet in the water, and that's when I noticed the tender scrape on both feet. The deluxe included the cheese grader looking tool to get rid of dead skin, but she only left so much dead skin all over my feet from the bottom to the top. The actual toenails were cut nice, but the drill tool wasn't used on the top of my nails and i requested, but she was busy talking with her coworkers. The deluxe also has the massage, and all she did was put alot of water on my legs, so much so that the lotion didn't do anything. She seemed very distracted, and just didn't do a great job. I still tipped like I normally would like back home in California, but this was not great. The atmosphere is amazing, very busy, and lots of people pleased with their nails, but my experience wasn't good at all. read more

I think the woman I got was brand new. I have no qualms with communication problems, I don't mind if English isn't their first language, but when I pulled up google translate and it still didn't work, we called her coworker over to translate and my nails still came out horrid. Despite so many misunderstandings, she was sweet. I feel bad to review them this way but 1) when I asked her to make my French tip thinner she filed down my natural nails so short that it's painful. Look at my poor toes! 2) my cuticles look absolutely horrid! 3) I got a simple manicure (no polish just maintenance on natural nails) and she filed the TOP of my nail with an abrasive file and scratched the sh*t out of them 4) that day, after she filed them, three of my strong natural nails broke Worst mani pedi of my life. I arrived 5 minutes late for my 1:30pm appointment on a Sunday. They told me it was fine, and I picked out my colors for my SNS manicure. I needed a previous set removed as well, which many will know takes extra time. I sat down, and waited as per usual. What was not usual is that it took well over an HOUR AND A HALF to be brought back when I had a pre-booked appointment! Well, it gets worse. Once sat in the chair, I showed the tech the image inspo (ombré nails) I wanted done and handed her the color samples I had selected. She immediately said hold on, took my color samples, and walked away. I was left at the empty station for another 30 minutes before who I assume was a manager came over and finally started the soak, and said he was going to find me a tech who could do ombré. Maybe 15 minutes later a new tech came over. Due some challenges in communication and the fact the original tech took my color samples and put them away, it took another 15 minutes to find my desired colors. So the manicure starts, and I have to say it wasn't "nice". This lady kind of powered through the manicure, was rough with the drill, and wasn't very graceful in terms of caring for my nail beds or cuticles. She also struggled to get my the coffin shape I desired, and instead we landed on more of a "squoval", which seemed as good as it was going to get. Overall the result is pretty and very close to what I wanted, but the quality isn't great, as upon closer inspection you can see where care wasn't taken. I've had decent service here before, but I probably won't be coming back. After all of that, I was charged full price ($81 w/ tax). Don't come here unless you don't mind waiting hours after making an appointment and also don't care that the quality isn't guaranteed to match the pricing. Really, really disappointed. read more

I debated on making this post but after 3 BAD experiences at 3 different locations of this salon it was time. The first incident happened in September/October 2021 at the Hyde park location. I had a young guy nail tech and I got a full set with gel. The service was extremely slow and I had to wait despite making a reservation. The guy did not attach my acrylics correctly to where there was an obvious space between my nail and the acrylic tip. I told him that it was wrong but he ignored my requests for fixing it. I went to the front and showed them. They would not issue a refund despite the fact that I had been there over an hour and a half to have acrylic nails that looked like a child did them. The lady said they could soak them off and re do them since the nails were obviously botched. I reluctantly agreed after arguing over a refund. The next incident was in November 2021 at the Norwood location by the capital grille. This was around a month after the previous and I decided to give them another chance due to the good reviews I had seen on google. They nail tech filed my nails to the nerve and I told her it hurt really badly to which she got an attitude and left me sitting for a long time. Pictures are attached below of my nails when I left the salon. She was being very rude about the pain so I asked if I could pay for the gel soak off and leave. I did not want to put any gel polish or filing on my nail anymore. She got mad once more and I ended up having to tell a manager I wanted to pay for the soak off and leave because I was in pain. This took a long time to heal and was incredibly painful. They did not offer any apology and I did still have to pay. Finally the third incident happened at the Oakley location yesterday. (June 2022). Once more I decided to try this nail salon at a different location giving them benefit of the doubt. I went in with acrylics and gel and asked for a fill in. The tech I had was Peter. He filed off my gel polish instead of soaking and he filed my nail to the point of pain like the previous salon did. It was very obvious that it was painful but he did not stop. He filled in the acrylic and put French tip which is what I came in with. After the service he told me the total was $61.00 which is RIDICULOUS for a fill in. I am from Hamilton originally and my entire full set with gel was $60. I told him that $61 was outrageous for a fill in to which he told me to look up the prices when I go home. Once again I'm not happy and in pain from this salon. As a young girl I feel they take ADVANTAGE of their customers and are incredibly rude not to mention they have novist skills at best but charge ridiculous amounts for their poor work.
