Claudia is an absolute creator! After months of neglect my hair was starting to look like I dip dyed it in some red Koolaid. I came in with such a short window to get it back to a presentable state. I was being super indecisive about what I wanted but Claudia was super patient and gave me helpful suggestions upon me describing my daily routines, how much time I spend getting ready in the morning and how much I was willing to do to maintain it. After all that she still patiently highlighted my hair using what felt like 200 foils and it came out gorgeously! I've been going to Rachel for a few years now. She really is an artist and knows exactly what I will like! I love the way she curls my hair so it's relaxed and cool looking. I've also brought multiple hair accessories to her to show me the best way to wear them. I tried out 2 other stylists before coming to Victoria's. Both who just didn't have a passion for hair and really had no idea about color and really effed up my once beautiful hair. I left my prior hairstylist ONLY bc the drive to/from Los Gatos became too much with two small kids. I stumbled across Rachel Manifesto's Instagram and stalked her until hair salons could re-open. I truly believe that if you own a business and treat people right, your business will flourish. From the get-go Rachel was honest. She let me know pricing, time I should expect to be at the salon (great for all you parents with littles), we discussed potential colors and what hairstyles/colors looked best up and down and what hairstyles/colors looked better styled. We even discussed my post-partum hair loss and which way I'm parting it for now vs. how I normally part it. I needed a shorter hair cut that was able to be lived in, low maintenance (ain't nobody with littles got time to be at the salon for color touch ups every 6-8weeks), and looked good in a pony tail 99.9% of the time. I also needed the ugly a** chunky blonde highlights the prior stylist gave me, toned wayyyyyyyy down and the block/hard lines where those ugly things ended and my natural color began. Let me tell y'all, I spent 5 hours on a Saturday enjoying conversation, magazine reading, more conversation, laughing, and filled completely with excitement and anticipation for the final reveal of the hair I not only needed but wanted. It's so hard to find someone who wants to get to know you as a person so they can make your hair what you want and not make it the way they want. I'm SO thrilled I gave Rachel M. When I didn't get the final product that I was looking for, Alexandra went above and beyond by offering to have me come in the same week to fix it. She spent three hours working with me to make sure I loved the end product and was happy with how I looked. I truly appreciated her taking the time and going out of her way to make sure I got what I was looking for. I had the most amazing experience getting a hair cut by Kim today. I came in with an idea and she completely brought that vision to life. I wanted an A-Symmetrical Lob and she nailed it. Not only was I so obsessed with my new identity lol but Kim was so extremely personable, cute, professional and obviously talented. She updated me on what steps she would be doing for my hair cut. I thought this was very professional and kind of her! I have no idea what a hair cut really consists of so to be in communication with her was super appreciated. My hair is healthier than ever, and my color is fantastic. Victoria (owner), Kim, and Nikki are all amazing - both personally and professionally. I liked their hair service, but was really disappointed with the makeup service. I wasn't happy at all with the makeup that rebecca did on me as I could do much better by myself. They charge extra $15 for the application of fake Eyelashes (even though I had my own eyelashes with me) which they don't tell you at the beginning. Tried a few places in the Trivalley that I went to through referrals, and wasn't incredibly impressed. But I decided to look on Yelp and was impressed by the reviews [with pics] of Juliana's work at Victoria's Salon. It was a way more emotional decision than I want to admit, so I was apprehensive to say the least. I was pretty embarrassed of my hair but Juliana made me so comfortable and excited about the potential of what my hair could look like. The salon itself is pretty much a girl's "free afternoon" fantasy. With the services they offer, I could spend all day there. Super clean, super chic, and everyone is service oriented. I had Kaylynn cut my hair. And it's actually a funny story because I stopped a woman in the nail salon a couple of months ago to comment on her hair. It was an amazing cut. She wrote down the name of the stylist, Kaylynn, and then of course I lost the paper. It was a coincidence that I had Kaylynn cut my hair, and loved it. A couple of days later I stumbled on the paper the woman wrote for me, and loved that I was able to have someone that I wanted to go see. My hair has a ton of box red in it, so I didn't have high expectations of what my color could look like. I wanted to go lighter, but back to my natural ashy color. The way Juliana tied in the highlights and balayage in addition to the toner she used gave me a completely different look without over processing. Asking what my goals were and explaining the process, we came up with a plan to get to my dream hair. But the steps in between I am incredibly happy with, too. Thank you Juliana & Kaylynn for embodying a service oriented salon. You clearly have created a raving fan. [and next time I promise I will post pics of your work!] By the way...the value for the price is outstanding. It is not going to be the cheapest you will find. Yesterday was my first time at Victoria's Salon. I have been getting my hair done by Juliana at a salon in SF for years and I've never been let down, so I followed her here to Victoria's! This last visit with her at Victoria's Salon was extra special. The salon is absolutely beautiful, the décor, lighting, everything is perfect. As soon as I got there Juliana gave me a tour, she showed me the waxing room, the makeup bar, color room etc. She then sat me down and asked what my goals were for my hair and what exactly I was hoping to achieve. I always trust her to make decisions with my hair so she ended up doing a full highlight, and a keratin treatment. I am so pleased with the outcome of my hair. Probably one of the worst experiences. Came in wanting baleyage: something natural and came out with tiger stripe highlights. Maybe it's a process to go from dark to ashy blonde but I did not like how it turned out at all.... Far from natural. I kindly asked if we could fix it and Vanessa who originally did my hair had the worst attitude on the phone. She agreed to look at my hair. I came in and literally was treated as if I was crazy. I tried to explain to her calmly that I didn't like the streakyness and she said " you want to see streaky, I'll show you streaky." So rude. I told her I didn't want to damage my hair by adding any color or anything and she said " I came in on my day off to fix your hair that I don't see a problem with and left my three kids at home". I'm sorry but that's not my fault.... I didn't like the turn out and isn't the policy to make your clients happy? Not to mention all the dirty looks I got from all the other stylists. I drive an hour to get my done here, the service is that good. Catalina Perez works on my hair, she is absolutely the greatest! I know that whatever color or style I want on my hair, she will make happen. She is able to tame my curly and unruly hair with hair cuts that are for my hair type. As far as hair color, Catalina always gives me a hair color that compliments my skin tone; to also go along with the seasons (lighter in the summer, darker in the winter) and trends (ombre, highlights, etc). I followed my colorist Juliana to Victoria's Salon. She's AMAZING and I wouldn't trust anybody else with my color. As a natural blonde as a kid, I find it hard to embrace my current brunette roots.
