Weston came out to take a look around, and let us know that the old show girl was about 40,000 BTUs too large, had parts falling off of her, and was venting more carbon monoxide than anyone should be comfy with. It was at this point that we also found out that our air conditioner and myself (37yrs old) had the same installation date on this earth. Weston is a solid dude; straightforward rundown of equipment options, clear and concise quote afterwards, walked us through the information in the brochure, was nice to our cats, and is a generally delightful human being. BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE. We got two other quotes from perfectly lovely companies, and then we decided to venture down the HVAC rabbit hole of the internet. Because we are the people we are, we ended up wanting to see FOUR DIFFERENT quotes with various payment and equipment configurations. Weston responded within 24hrs to each request with nothing but enthusiasm and encouragement. We decided to take the leap. Then Standard sent out the dynamo installation team of Jude and Eric AND THEY WERE ALSO DELIGHTFUL. Seriously, if you are someone who worries about people being in your house, these guys are the freaking salt of the earth and were respectful as hell to this overly chatty queer lady and her incredibly curious kittens. Then Standard's sale team was great in getting us paperwork filled out for the city rebate (they will do the utilities for you) AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, because they quoted us for a new electrical thingy when a new electrically thingy wasn't needed, they sent us a $130 check in the mail after the fact. Standard is awesome, and we couldn't have appreciated how they helped us through this situation more.

JG was prompt on getting back to us right away with an estimate. We then spoke to Amanda who helped us figure what we needed and book us a time and day. The owner Jimmy arrived with Oscar to take care of us that day. They gave us a text about a 1/2 hr before that they were in route. Jimmy was very friendly and explained everything as he was working, showing us videos of the inside of the vents as he started cleaning them. They worked promptly to look around the house to start working. They first covered all the vents and brought in their equipment. Each Individual vent was cleaned. Th package included the dryer vent and furnace but we paid extra to get the bathroom fan cleaned inside and thru the outside. They cleaned up and were done in about 1.5 hrs for our 2600'sq ft house. I would definitely recommend them for any duct work you have. They were very prompt, professional and have great customer service!

We looked around and read many reviews. We decided to contact Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning. They did not answer the phone right away but I received a call very quickly. I explained the situation and how we have some allergies, and they took the time to listen and go over all the details. They then recommended Steve who is the go-to guy when it comes to allergies as well as other things related. We set up an appointment with Steve, and Steve arrived early. He set up his equipment and was very mindful about making a mess as well as getting things dirty and wet. He took his time to explain as well as show me what was going on and answer all my questions. Because of allergies Steve took his time and made sure each vent was cleaned as best as possible. The things I saw in the ductwork were scary, which had built up over the years of this property. After he was done, we swapped the air filter and within 20 minutes of running, I could smell the difference in the air. The air felt lighter and did not have a heavy feel. Also, my air purifiers were not reading off the charts anymore. Steve did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend him as well as Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning. I ended up getting their Ultimate cleaning or whatever the highest one was, and compared to other places, it was cheap. The price you pay for what you get is a bargain. BEWARE: Independent contractors are used by this company who carry their own insurance. I had an…read moreunfortunate situation where a furnace drain hose was bumped out of place by one of this company's independent contractors causing a leak in my ceiling weeks before my house was to close to a new owner. My claim was declined. The insurance company required unrealistic things like a photo of the space prior to incident showing the hose in place. Who takes pictures of their furnace? This resulted in a costly last-minute repair to my ceiling. Essentially this means that you are at the mercy of a potential crappy insurance policy carried by the contractor and that the owner takes no personal responsibility for potential damage.

They did a great job. $425 for 15 vents, $15 per vent thereafter, plus tax. Their first tech did a…read moreuseful analysis and showed me photos, and then the second brought another guy and together they did ~20 vents in an hour. They use a big vacuum that hooks up directly to the furnace intake, then a generator on their truck powers a compressed air sprayer with little agitating whips on it to get into everything. Then they share before and after photos. They also navigated other vendors using the same rooms at the time. A couple of small issues: the cleaning had to be rescheduled because of illness. Things happen! When they did come for the rescheduled time, they were 30 minutes early, which meant I had to leave a meeting to meet them, but it was just a minute or two for them to get started. Also, they will make holes in the ducts to get into areas they can't reach from the vents, and then they plug them. The plugs are black, and in this case I have some exposed vents that are white to match the walls, so the plugs are a little ugly.

I stand by the review below, which reflects my honest experience as a prospective customer. [Updated to address owner's response and clarify timeline.] I reached out to this business via their website to get the air ducts cleaned in my duplex. After submitting their contact form, I was quickly texted and asked to send pictures and videos of both furnaces, which I did promptly and completely. They confirmed receipt and said they'd send a prep list, then communication abruptly stopped. Over 25 hours passed with no follow-up, so I sent a text asking for an update. I received no reply. At that point, I reasonably concluded they were no longer interested and chose to leave a review to reflect my experience. Immediately as I was submitting the review, I received a phone call from them -- too late, as I had already hired someone else. I did not answer. They then sent a text acknowledging they had just seen my follow-up.
