Dream World Bakes is a local gem! The ever-changing menu is always exciting, and they make a great coffee or latte. The quirky decor and cozy seating area make it a complete destination!

This small bakery has so much heart, whimsy, and creativity. The menu changes monthly, which I love. I have never had a bad pastry here, though my favorites are usually the savory options and any seasonal fruit-based pastries. Favorites recently have included the cheesesteak and Japanese chicken curry pithiviers, the French onion croissant (INSANE), the rhubarb croissant, and the ube sweet roll. The staff is so kind and genuine; they greet me by name now that I've become a regular. All around, a stellar small business to support.

Been here a few times, so I feel pretty good about my overall impression. Pastries are unique, tasty, and some of the best I've ever had. They rotate the menu every month and you can check their IG for weekly specials. Service, no complaints. Friendly and fast. There are tables in the back but we always get our pasties to go. Initially there will be a bit of a sticker shock on some of the pastries. Like $8 bucks for a croissant not including tip. Just know that the quality and quantity justify this price. I keep going back because it is worth the money. They do not skimp on quality and craft. So happy to have them in the neighborhood.

I would absolutely recommend getting the "one of everything" box, you get a mix of savory and sweet.

I thought I'd written a review about this place before but to my shock I had not…read more I have been coming here since the day they opened, infrequently beacuse I am diabetic but when I want to spoil my body with delicious sugar, honey, this is *IT*. Now I could tell you all about how perfectly tasty everything is. From the classic banana puddings (I prefer the caramel version myself,) to the cookies, to the pineapple upside-down mini cakes. Yes, I could tell you that. But I want to speak to something deeper. I want to speak to belonging and community; and to fairness. As a biracial person with a brown sister, I feel the pull to support black and brown businesses. It's not a secret. And sometimes you do it, and sometimes you privately think "Damn. I wanna be supportive but this place is a mess." Then there's Sweet Life. NOT that. FILLED with good product at a great price, delivered by owners and staff who actually give a damn about being loving and supportive to all different types of people. And did I mention the sweets are POPPIN'? And to that statement of fairness. Today I came in to place an order, and when the price came up, for a moment I thought "Damn. That is a lot higher than I remembered, but I am not about to question them. They set the price and that price is what they deserve." So I paid. But then I noticed there was more in my bag that I'd asked for, and that there had been a miscommunication. When I tell you that this miscommunication was corrected with swiftness *AND* a smile. No shade. No drama. Just an "Ooops, oh well, here's your refund on the balance." I know this seems very basic but we all know it isn't. We have all been in that awkward situation where as a customer we have to point out an error, and the vendor turns it into a Shakespearan tragedy. Not Sweet Life. "Oops. Sorry! Fixed. Love you." So, to recap: Stunningly delicious sweets. Prices fair as hell. Communicative, inclusive staff doing the right thing. You need to take those money dollers and haul your ass over here TODAY. Now...where did I put my insulin pen?

I ate way more than this pic shows because each flavor is its own unique flavor. The No Nana banana pudding (not shown) is the truth!! If you struggle with dairy and miss banana pudding--- get it. It was my favorite delight. I got my wife the pineapple upside down cake. She loved it! Sweet, slightly gooey and perfectly portioned. The people there are great. That make you feel like you're picking a wedding ring. Giving personal recommendations and the extra sophistication you wouldn't expect at a cupcake place on south street. They have it all and i will go back for more and i highly recommend them, especially the no-nana pudding (not pictured).

I'd recommend the cinnamon rolls! -- The Sugary offers a variety of desserts ranging from cookies, cakes, muffins, and cupcakes. There are also a variety of "birthday/celebration items," like cards and candles. The interior is small, with one table, but very clean and well-decorated. The service is quick and conducive for to-go orders and they accept credit card. As there is only one register, if there is a line, it may take a while. When I was there, I was in and out in about 5 minutes. I ordered the cheesecake, rainbow cookie, and cinnamon roll. These were all so delicious and I'll be back soon for more! The cheesecake was decadent but had depth to its flavor and the crust was thick and solid. I really enjoyed the slice and it was large enough to be shared, so I felt the price was spot on for the value. The rainbow cookie was one of the best I've ever had, with its rich chocolate flavor, and was an elevated version of ones I've had in the past. Lastly, the cinnamon roll was a bit too sweet for me, but otherwise it was what I'd call "a perfect cinnamon roll." Fluffy, cinnamon-forward, and with lots of icing! I'd highly recommend The Sugary for any sweet treat cravings, but only if you have no allergies or dietary restrictions. They offer custom desserts but there is a disclaimer of cross-contamination risk.

I opted for their tiramisu as I was drawn to the adorable packaging. And as it turns out, there's more to it than meets the eye since it also tasted pretty good. I liked that it was only subtly sweet and pretty light and creamy. I didn't taste too much coffee rum in it, despite the warning about the alcohol content. This tiny shop closes around 3pm on Sundays, so make sure you go there soon enough in the day so that you can give their delectable sweets a try.
