Stopped by here for a little pick me up during my shift today and I was impressed! I've spent the past year walking by this bakery and I'm really glad I finally stopped in! The interior is so open and cute- perfect for a coffee date or getting some work done! I grabbed 2 pastries to go! The almond croissant was super flakey and delicious! The Napoleon did leave me a little unsatisfied- the puff pastry was slightly overcooked and it could have been sweeter! But will definitely be stopping by again for a sit down experience! read more

While missing Paris and craving croissants, we found this cute little bakery. The almond croissant was good but the texture was a little off- some hard pieces which I had to spit out. Wish it had a little more filling/flavoring? The spinach quiche was tasty and my kids liked the other fruit pastries. Service was good and helpful when it came to our specific allergies. Jaime French Bakery is super cute and cozy. It smells sooooooo amazing as soon as you walk in, and the atmosphere makes it a great little date spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. I got a sugar crepe, and while I realized I personally like more fillings, I have to say it was one of the best crepes l've ever had. It was soft, buttery, and just absolutely melted in my mouth. That said, I'm giving it three stars because of a serious issue with allergen communication. I originally ordered a lemon tart and luckily asked if it had any nut as I have a severe nut allergy. There were no allergen signs anywhere, and the staff told me all the tarts are made with almond flour and asked if that was still okay. Almond is a nut, so no, it's not okay. Their lack of signs and seeming lack of handling around allergen safety could be really dangerous for someone with a severe allergy. I'd definitely come back for the crepes, but I really hope they improve how they communicate ingredients. read more

The pastries here are some of the best I've ever had. And after running around to four other bakeries in the area on a Sunday evening, they were also sold out, and this was the only place that had fresh pastries on the shelf. Yelp pointed us to this little spot on the corner of 12th and Walnut Street. I really enjoyed a variety of their pastries. My favorites were their mushroom and spinach quiche, apple tart, and canele. Even a local who helped us with directions to this place said we won't be disappointed with the food and we surely weren't. I think the downfall is the lack of seating. It's really a small shop with one table by the window and two chairs. This place is meant to be a grab and go. We had kids in tow so we wanted to sit down and enjoy our pastries. Like a handful of places in Philly, this one was also not very double stroller friendly. My husband carried our stroller up the short staircase which wasn't a problem. I just found it odd how they didn't offer to help like what other places did. Also I found them a bit stand offish when we ordered. They forgot my canele and also corrected me in a stand offish way when I pronounced it "cannoli". But the pastries were definitely worth the visit. read more

We always like to hit up a new coffee shop when we visit Philly. We attempted to come here twice and today we were finally able to hit up this spot. It's a limited coffee and tea menu. I asked if they can do latte art for my Mocha Latte. The young girl, Danielle, looked startled at this request. She let out a nervous giggle and replied, I can try. She continued to giggle and I started to giggle. I was eager to see what she can come up with. Decent amount of seating inside. We decided to sit by the stool/bar side area. As Danielle serves me my latte, she apologizes about the latte artwork. The fact that she tried, it made my day. I appreciate her efforts and she didn't act like it was a bother at all. The Mocha latte was perfectly crafted. I enjoyed every sip as did my companions with their drinks. Before visiting this place I noticed that a lot of people ordered their famous Chocolate Pretzel Croissant. I only thought it was okay but one of my companions loved it. I decided to stop in after I finished up a nearby doctor's appointment before heading home, and I was not disappointed! To drink, I got a Cappuccino (different from my usual!) which was tasty. So happy I walked by this cute little Patisserie! It's in an old building with a few tables out front. The inside is modern and clean. The bakery case is filled with amazing pastries. I bought a slice of lemon pine cake for $1.50! The lemon flavor really brightens the cake. I also bought two chamoux. So light and airy! They also serve sandwiches and crepes. Both looked yummy. Went to the French bakery with mom for an afternoon coffee. There wasn't a long and line and there were some available seating area on a Tuesday afternoon. The drinks were rich and satisfying.
