A magical experience for us and our grandsons, ages 9 and 11. They even arranged a double rainbow to greet us as we arrived, haha! The teepees are very comfortable, breakfast is yummy, and the evening campfire offers a wonderful way to wind down at the end of the day. It was our first experience "glamping," and it set the bar high.

Elk coming to visit

I want to give this place more stars, but I just can't. We were there the week they opened. While we were in resting from a morning of adventure, fellow visitors were out at the picnic area with their dogs (unleashed). Neighboring dogs and visitors dogs got into a tussle and next thing we know the gentleman running the place that day was in an argument with the neighbor. After a lot of screaming between these two grown toddlers, the gentleman running the place that day told the neighbor he could go F*#% himself. Not only that but the visitors dog nipped at my hand later that day while I was just walking back to my tipi. We were sadly disappointed at the behavior of the staff that day, and just the overall place in general. Definitely wasn't how it is portrayed on their social media. Not as vast as it is portrayed online. We were booked for 4 night stay and ended up leaving early as we just didn't feel comfortable being there. That being said I give it 3 stars, as it is conveniently located to the north entrance. I would advise if you plan on staying there to be sure to bring food for meals, as there aren't many restaurants in a close proximity.

Stayed here for two nights and it was pure magic. We arrived and got a full tour of the premises that included private bathrooms, communal fire pit, breakfast nook and of course the tipis. Our tipi had the most comfortable beds and space heaters to brave the cold nights. We enjoyed complementary s'mores and drinks in the the evening with the other guests and connected with the amazing staff who were so accommodating and friendly; special shout-out to Jameson! If you are visiting Yellowstone, staying here is an absolute must.

We had a great time spending a few days at the Dreamcatcher Tipi Hotel in May. Everything about it was amazing! The scenic views, the wildlife, the open fire at night with complementary beer and wine. The beds are truly amazing. The Tipi's are decorated beautifully as well. Very friendly staff. Another bonus is that it's just 5 miles to the northern entrance to Yellowstone National Park. I would highly recommend it!!

A different experience ran by super friendly locals (not like the video on website). Remember this is a teepee so during the day it is unbearable in the summer- they offer heaters for nighttime but investing in a small portable a/c unit is a must! The nighttime gatherings are fun and friendly but walking to the bathrooms in the middle of the night if your further out is a little nerve wracking.

When we initially booked this place, there was a little bit of hesitation on the part of my mother-in-law. I thought it would be a great experience and I tried to convince the others. Eventually, everybody came around and everybody in our group was talking about how much they love the experience afterwards. We are already planning our return trip there. It was so nice in terms of the accommodations as well as the campfire at night where everybody got together and talked exchanging stories from wherever they were from. The staff was extremely nice also. You could tell that they certainly loved what they do. I would have absolutely zero doubt in booking this place unless you happen to be in a party of prima-donnas

We recently stayed 4 nights at Dreamcatcher and it was a blast! Now a few things you should know before making a reservation here...you have to walk from your tipi to the bathrooms, not far but bring something to carry your toiletries in to make it easier. This is not the ideal place to stay if you plan to spend a lot of time in your room - no tv and the Internet is not strong enough to stream from your mobile device. You are sleeping in a tipi and while it is very luxurious it is still glamping don't expect the same amenities a nice hotel would have. All that being said, it is an awesome concept and the morning views are amazing! The grounds are set up well and if you catch a rainless night the smore's and campfire is a blast. I strongly recommend staying here just know what you are signing up for so you are not disappointed.

What a great experience. Unbelievably beautiful setting. Great staff. Beds are super comfortable. The nightly fire is not to be missed.

One of the coolest experiences I have ever done as a family. Bath house a little aggravating but very nice. Worth the price.

I literally regret that we stayed in Yellowstone for about the same price and could've stayed here two nights.

Our trip to Montana was amazing, and the first evening started with stay here. Ms Nance and Richard are such warm hosts. At breakfast they are a fountain of information about Gardiner and the Park. Breakfast was a wide array of delicious choices, and Ms Nance is quick to adapt to your tastes if you stayed multiple nights. But Pro-Tip, tell her ahead of time if you have a particular want. We had a private room with a bathroom. It was very comfortable and warm. Especially considering it was below zero at the time. They also leave out tea and snacks downstairs, so We enjoyed a cup of hot tea as we warmed up from our walk. Location! This wonderful home couldn't be closer to the park entrance. As well, they are walking distance to the local restaurants. It was the start of winter so I didn't get a chance to take advantage of fly fishing, but Richard owns Parks Fly Shop, just around the corner. Book a stay here! You will love it!

We were on a three day trip to Yellowstone, and needed a place to stay one night in Gardiner. This…read morelocation is out of the city just a few minutes drive, but has gorgeous views from every door. Our room had a kitchen in it, which would've been helpful if we had been staying for more than one night. The morning breakfast was OK, but not that memorable. The room was clean, and it gave us the opportunity to chill out and watch some TV, so I guess it suited its purpose.

The owner,…read moreJeanette Mikos said "No." A couple of days later, my card had fraudulent charges, so I shut it down and when they tried to charge me for the room, it did not go through. I went elsewhere and chose not to stay there. The owner threatened to take me to court for the amount, but would settle for one night. Due to my second parent dying this year, I did not respond immediately give them the one night. The owner counted down the days and said the following "Crista, This is Jeannette Mikos (owner) of the Yellowstone Basin Inn. We have allowed for 13 days to receive your payment by check by mail. No payment has been received. If we do not receive payment for the 1 night stay of $351 by 8/1/2025, we will have to pursue with the local District Justice for the full 3 nights of stay, $1,053. Please contact us with payment of the $351. Thank you." I informed her my mother had died 2.5 months after my dad and that paying her wasn't at the top of my list. No response. Yellowstone is the number 1 international destination. If a business won't accommodate a change and will chase you for one nights stay, it's because they are not making a lot of money. Stay at your own risk.
