The tables are seemingly meant for you to bring your friends and play an elaborate board game but I don't think anyone would mind if you took a spot to do homework or anything. I'm gonna be honest, I don't remember if my drink was an apple or pear latte, but either way it was DELICIOUS. The milk was steamed to perfection and the flavor's essence was subtle rather than in your face. The espresso itself was kinda citrus-y which went extremely well with the fruit flavor. The baristas were super friendly and one of them even smiled at me and asked how I was doing while she passed by me doing a lobby check. I saw on their website that they host D&D nights and other events so if you're into that this is totally the place for you! I believe in the product being the focal point of a business, so for this place to blow me away with its design left me greatly impressed. Again, I seriously love it when a space goes all out. Especially in this day and age where every single cafe has the same sterile atmosphere and restaurantseating.com ambience, my heart is content stumbling upon places with character such as And Destroy. I definitely will be coming back when I just want to unwind. 10/10!

It's located next to Verdugo exit by the 2 highway on Eagle Rock blvd. Indoor layout is very spacious with high wooden ceiling and plenty of natural light. They have comfy lounge sofa and wooden bench seats large tables perfect for game cards. I perused their succinct menu and had a hot Latte w/ half n half. It was glorious! Besides coffee & pastries they sell other stuff like decanter, scented candles, bean bags, etc. The homey vibe, cool staff and rustic decor of this coffee shop is perfect for hangout with friends or do some work. Moreover, staff were really chill and competent. Prices are competitive. Condiment section is neatly organized. They have bathroom available. However, finding free parking in the area is challenging and limited. Overall, this is a nice coffee shop. I am glad I stopped by for a quick drink.

I was disappointed to see record stores have dried up, but when I looked up comic book stores, this was near the top, and close to where I had lunch. Street parking is fairly easy, and I didn't realize that the first door I passed was another entrance to a café looking area. However, the main entrance was a visually impressive experience in its own right. Full of stimuli basically, that's assured at Revenge of... (the Nerds? Supes?). Love the name! In addition to comics and usual toys and nicknacks, I was delighted to find not one, but two areas devoted to pinball machines! Additionally, the interior design evokes lots of classic (e.g. Silver and Bronze Age) artwork. X-Men and Spider-Man definitely influenced the architectural approach. It's impressive and lends a fun vibe, as well as atmospheric lighting. Two café counters in different areas allow for drinks to be purchased, and lots of nooks and crannies have things ranging from vinyl records, board games, a discounted graphic novels area, as well as recent comic titles and weekly releases (typically on Wednesdays). The back issues are found in X shaped fixtures and spaced in a clever arrangement that simultaneously encourages and enhances browsing, and yet doesn't clutter the walking areas. I found several missing issues for my Conan the Barbarian run, and everything is bagged and boarded (archival terms), so that's good. I didn't explore the pinball machines as I was pressed for time, but I definitely see myself visiting when I'm nearby in the future.

One of my favorite activities is searching through long boxes for the lost gem or issue you need to complete the run. Also, please refer to market on tcg player or any other store around for market pricing. Also I went to a store 1.5 miles from you guys and was able to get mega dreams for $85. I would strongly suggest you review you pricing and consistency. Thank you I bought Pokémon cards and comic books. On my first visit, the staff were friendly and helpful. One of the workers even called the owner to work with me on pricing and was able to bring it down to fair market value at the max price while still honoring the store's point system. Even though prices were generally higher than other local shops, the experience felt fair, and I spent over $1000. I came back the next day excited to buy more. The owner did not raise prices, but he refused to give me the same pricing he approved the day before and removed the point rewards that were previously honored, with no clear explanation. I was not asking for a deal, a discount, or special treatment. I am not a scalper. I openly collect and open cards. I was simply asking for fair market pricing, even at the max market value. They told me they price at market value and showed me a specific site. That same site showed lower prices, yet I was told those higher prices are just their prices, despite knowing other stores nearby sell the same products at normal market value. I still spent close to $700 on the second day, but when the cashier asked if I wanted a receipt, it honestly hurt to say no because I knew I would not be coming back. I did make sure to tell the cashier this was not on him. He was genuinely kind and helpful, and I thanked him. Summary of issues: 1. Prices consistently above online and local market. 2. Inconsistent pricing and point system from one day to the next. 3. Point rewards removed without explanation. 4. Claiming market pricing while refusing to honor it. I truly thought I found a great shop during my travels, but after this experience, I will not be returning.

One of the employees was helpful enough to place the cards I selected at the front while I continued looking around, which I appreciated. From what I observed, pricing varied depending on the item. Some cards were fairly priced, some below market, and others above market value. One particular vintage moderately played card was listed at $16.77, while recent comparable sales on TCGPlayer appeared to average closer to the $13-15 range. Since I was purchasing multiple items and understood that older vintage cards may not move as quickly as modern inventory, I politely asked if they would consider a flat $15 price on the card. Unfortunately, the interaction that followed left a negative impression. The owner (or manager) seemed unwilling to negotiate, with his first words being "oh, so you want a break." Which came across as unnecessarily hostile over what amounted to a relatively small discount request. I completely understand that local stores have operating costs and are free to price inventory however they choose, but I felt the response lacked professionalism and customer courtesy. Because of that interaction, I decided not to complete my purchase and instead visited CoreTCG in Pasadena afterward, where I had a much more positive experience. The staff there were knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming, and I ultimately spent far more than I originally planned. I genuinely wish this store success, but I hope future customer interactions are handled with a bit more professionalism and openness.

I was promised validated parking, yet I still had to pay the full parking price. I also intended to purchase the more affordable option, but it was out of stock at the time. My biggest concern was my phone interaction with Marie. She came across as rushed, apathetic, and unprofessional, and the call became increasingly frustrating toward the end. The level of service felt minimal and dismissive, and I ended the call feeling uneasy and without resolution. I am still uncertain whether my order was properly completed. Marie stated she was "pretty sure she clicked it" regarding my emailed receipt, but I have not received when I was on the call with her. I followed her instructions and checked both my spam and trash folders, with no success. She did say the email should be in my inbox, spam, or trash by the end of today. Additionally: * I was not given a total before my card was charged * I was not asked whether I am a Barnes & Noble member, which I am; I later had to call back to request a partial refund, and the way this was explained to me was confusing * The prices were $10-$20 higher per book, which was only explained after I questioned the charges Finally, rather than resolving these issues directly, I was referred to 1-800-THE-BOOK.
