I've always brought in a range of knives, from very good quality to pathetically cheap, and they have always taken good care of them all. No judgment or attitude about bringing in less fancy knives. Now that they are in the larger space, it's even more enjoyable to browse at the vast supply of kitchen gadgets while waiting for knives to be sharpened.

As expected it was easy to find and parking was plentiful (which may be a function of having come here on a Thursday evening). The store is well kept and full of all kinds of goodies for one's home and kitchen. They have all the appliances open for touching and looking at, which I like, and has a major advantage over Amazon. I'll be looking for a new electric tea kettle soon and they have them here so I'll stop by to poke and prod. The staff member who helped me was friendly and it was easy and quick to pick up my item. When you order for in store pick-up you just need to show your ID, they bring out your item, and then you sign for confirmation of pickup. Easy peasy.

I've now had poor experiences at two different outlets, each involving different store managers. Most recently, I visited the location this past Sunday, and the experience was honestly appalling. Claire, the store manager, made my wife and me feel completely unwelcome--like we didn't belong there, or couldn't possibly afford what they were selling. Her attitude was beyond rude. It felt as though simply asking basic questions was an inconvenience to her. We left the store feeling disrespected and insulted. What's especially disappointing is that we actually like a lot of the cookware here--we own quite a bit of it. But based on how we've been treated, I'm strongly considering taking my business elsewhere. It also doesn't help that the more helpful employees (like the ones we used to interact with at the West Palm location) seem to be let go, while the arrogant and dismissive managers stay. If this is the company's culture--judging customers based on how they look or what they wear--then they seriously need to rethink their training and values. No one should be made to feel like they're "less than" for walking into a store. Respect and good service shouldn't come with a dress code or a price tag.

Bolingbrook might be easier to access (there is quite a bit of construction around Schaumburg currently) and I would also debate it is not as busy as this location. However, I did notice the Schaumburg store is not only much cleaner and well maintained, but has way more showrooms and creative displays. I guess if I were buying or in a hurry I go to Bolingbrook and if I was meandering and idea hunting I'd go to Schaumburg. The reason why there are so many showrooms is because this store spans three floors and is in fact, one of the largest Ikeas in America! It is huge and even as a veteran Ikea shopper I still got turned around a couple times. One thing that's nice is this store has the ability to stock more items so I found they had all the items I wanted available. I also noticed this location appeared to have customer service at every corner. I don't know if it's because I went on the weekend but I was thoroughly impressed at how well staffed they were and how friendly employees were during our interactions.

People need to read the stories about this place before going there. I took a referral from a…read morelocal company by where I live and was taken advantage by James at Just Faucets & More. I needed replacement thermal cartridges. This guy tried to sell me the exact same cartridge for $139 that I bought on Amazon for $85. That should have been my first clue. Then he told me he would get me the complete set of replacement fixtures for my 2 showers. They charged me $250 for each kit which were the same kits I see for $75 each. He convinced me these are superior fixtures (Same Manufacturer) and that's why they cost 3 times as much. I think that they get most of their parts from Craigslist and eBay then mark them up 300%. After waiting for them to be "Shipped from California" I dropped by looking for an update. The guy's father is behind the counter. I asked him about my order, and he says that James does his own thing and doesn't leave notes about the orders. I have to check back with James. Upon my third in person visit, James gives me just the fixtures, one adapter, no screws, and no way to install the second fixture. They need an adapter and set screws that are not included. The reason I went here was they say they can find replacement parts for older models. Not true. They sell you old junk and then tell you good luck. Look at the sign hanging high over their security cage that says, "Absolutely No Refunds". There's a reason for that! Buyer beware.
