I have been going to Home Plumbing supply for parts for old faucets for years. He always takes the time to look in back and usually finds what I need. Many times the are parts for faucets that are over 40 years old. Yes it costs more money but when you're in the trades your time is valuable. read more

Was referred by another company in search of a specific toilet replacement part who said this place would definitely help us. Owner was too busy eating his fast food sandwich and watching Happy Days on his tv. He asked us to send pictures of the toilet, which we did. But then he never followed through. No help what so ever. I had a outside faucet that had become almost unusable. It moved in and out when I turned it - I had to push it IN to get it to catch. It also leaked. The house was build in 1960. I tried to remove the stem but had issues. I called the first Plumbers Supply in my Internet search. They recommended me to Hom Plumbing Supply. I worked with Mike who advised me on how to remove the valve stem. I brought it in to the shop and he then supplied me with the proper replacement parts. My outside faucet now works perfectly with no leaks. I highly recommend these guys. read more

A few months after we purchased our house, I hired Ron Janis and his team to replace the 100 year old sewer system that had tree roots and was partially collapsed. I needed to replace cartridges on an Italian shower faucet and could not find them at the Big Box stores or online. My plumber advised that he bought his hard-to-find parts at Home Plumbing Supply. I went to the shop with my broken parts in hand and Mike spent 20 minutes searching catalogs. He advised that he would find the parts but it would take a few days to ship them to the store. A few days later, Mike called and advised that he had the parts shipped in from Pennsylvania . He included some installation advice and requested a follow-up call to make sure it worked properly. It was great to find someone that knew the business and could get the job done. His hard work saved us the hassle of punching holes in the wall to replace the valve. I didn't experience any rude service or attitude....far from it, but then again sometimes it depends on what kind of attitude walks in the door. This place has every single plumbing part you can imagine. Like others, I went to all the big box stores including internet shopping and could not find the faucet cartridge / valves I was looking for. I almost gave up hope and was planning to buy a new pair of faucets until the local Ace hardware store (Thanks !!) recommended this place. I took my old cartridge part and Ron was very patient and he took about 15-20 mins and came up with 4 new cartridges that looked very identical (hot and cold valves). I was amazed and Ron did charge a 100 % premium. But overall the 2 pairs I purchased was comparatively far less compared to buying 2 faucets. I installed these cartridges and it's been over 2 years now and I have no leaks. You should go to this place only if you have tried other places first as the prices here are a bit higher. I am giving 4 stars due to higher prices. read more

Everyone at Home Depot, Ace and Meyer Plumbing said that the valves and stems I needed for my bath/shower fixture were long discontinued and I should prepare myself to pay the plumber what he asks to get a completely new set-up from the water supply out. We're talking $500-$1000 plus the cost of repairing the tile or the wall we'd have to open up. I wouldn't take no for an answer. The guys at Meyer told me that if anyone would have what I needed, it would be Ron at Home Plumbing. He had it! He was a pleasure to do business with! He even waited for me when I called as I was coming up after hours. What a wonderful guy. All in all, with new stems, valves, handles, and spigot with a shower diverter, I paid about $100. I had a badly leaking faucet. The Ace Hardware employee thought that I would need a new cartridge and sent me to Home Plumbing for the part. He told me the cartridge was an older part and would cost as much as a new faucet. So I went in and Mike helped me out. Instead of trying to sell me an expensive cartridge, Mike told me that I just needed a washer and screw and some sealant type fabric to stop it from leaking. Do not go to this place. The owner is as dishonest as the day is long. When confronted about a warranty issued for a part, he proceeded to bark back that I was attempting to swindle him. I presented evidence, which he could not refute, but instead, proceeded to continue with insults and threats. I will not soon forget this. read more

Great for hard to find parts that you need right away....but get ready to pay a hearty premium...X3's what you can get elsewhere. Unfortunately, he charges too much for everyday common parts....will go online, or to big box....I've replaced all my old fixtures/valves to avoid hard to find replacement part. Ron's a great guy and very knowledgeable, but will eventually go out of business because his prices are too high. He probably cuts plumbers a break and should extend it to everyone...otherwise people will go elsewhere. read more

Who would ever think a dreaded leaky bathroom faucet could lead to new faith in humanity? With no identifying make or model number, I took an inner faucet cartridge to Ron at Home Plumbing Supply. As he flipped through his two inch thick parts catalog to no avail, he knew this was going to be a challenge. Over several days he called New York, Chicago, and Timbuktu among other places searching for a replacement piece. Finally with no luck, I got the part back with a new O ring Ron supplied, all at no charge. And I think it worked!
