Very poor customer service. No customer in the store. Noone asked if I needed help. I was walking around for awhile.

American Sale has probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced in our lives. STAY AWAY from American Sale. We had a pool installed in May of 2023. Our pump started leaking and they replaced the pump at the end of 2024 pool season. New Pump installed June of 2025 and it started leaking in July of 2025. Not even 2 months with the NEW pump and its leaking. again the pool was purchased and installed by american sale contractors. I went into the store and spoke with TONY -GM He reviewed the pictures and video I had and told me to come in with the pump and they will swap it out. I called 2 days later to bring it in and Tony was on vacation. I then received a TEXT from customer service telling me the pump was out of warranty and we will have to purchase a new one. I TEXT them Tony said he will swap it out as its BRAND NEW. Only used for 2 months. They TEXT me again said sorry nothing we can do. I asked to talk to someone. They will not call you, they will not help you. Its text only. ROBOTS and AI would do better than this. If I had the pump with me and Tony didnt go on vacation he would have swapped it out then, he even said he would have. I asked if there is anyone he could escalate to and he told me no just text customer service. I asked cant he fight for his customers and try to help since he already stated they would replace it. I called Tony back when he got back from vacation and he was like sorry nothing I can do. I reminded him it was brand new and that he TONY said he would replace it. He said he couldn't help and suggested I TEXT customer service again. So I text customer service and they asked me for pictures. I sent them pictures and videos only for them to come back and say sorry nothing we can do its out of warranty. STAY AWAY from American Sale. Especially Tony! They will not back up their products and you cant get a live person in customer service, If I could give them Negative stars I would. We spent thousands of dollars with American Sale and still do with chemicals etc. I will have to take our business elsewhere. Somewhere where they will help you and try to resolve your issue. I suggest you do too. read more

I experienced difficulty with the battery/connection for our patio umbrella purchased last year. In an effort to diagnose the problem covered by warranty, I went into the store and was initially assisted by Audrey. She attempted to find a replacement battery to test my unit. Initially, she was unable to find a test battery and she enlisted the help of Alexis and subsequently Lisa. All three of them spent well over a half an hour in an effort to help. Finally, we discovered a connection problem in the upper half of the umbrella. At no time did any of them display any signs of "hurry up" or "can't figure it out". It's not unusual to get some good service at the time of the sale, but in this case, all three went above and beyond to diagnose the problem and refer me to customer service to obtain a repair. Have been coming here for years. After an injury, I would order the chlorine for the pool, give them my CC info over the phone and pull up to the back and they would load into my vehicle. Called last week and they said their police had changed. Explained about my injury and spoke to Cassie, the new GM at the store. She had me pull up, she came out to the car, got my CC, and then came back and loaded the cases of chlorine in my car. Great customer service. read more

Returned to American Sale today and was helped by the always professional, fast and efficient Dan Sneed. We've purchased Christmas trees, a grill, outdoor cabinetry (an entire outdoor kitchen), and accessories from Dan and he has always gone out of his way to exceed our expectations. Today we were looking for some outdoor string lights. I'm sure we could have found these closer to home, but it was worth the trip to see Dan as he explained our options and the pros and cons of what's available. While this was probably the smallest sale Dan has made to us, he gladly helped us find the perfect lights. This is why we return to American Sale. DO NOT BUY A CHRISTMAS TREE FROM American Sales!!! Their so called return/exchange policy is ridiculous and they do not inform you of that policy up front. Bought a Non Pre-Lit Christmas Tree. We unboxed it and put it together. This tree looks nothing like it did in online pictures and in store. The Tree has missing / bent branches, large gaps even after fluffing it out, and the top of the tree does not have a pointed top. It's like it's cut off, more of a flat top. The branches are weak and do not hold ornaments. Called the store to see about returning and exchanging it and was told that once the straps are cut and box is opened it is non returnable! Even though it's a defective tree!! They will only somehow "fix" it. It's a brand new tree. We paid for a new tree so that's what we should get. Don't know how it could even be fixed with all those issues. We bought our first tree here and now we will Not buy from here again. $300 down the drain, not even worth donating. It's like they know their quality is crap so let's have basically a non existent return policy. Thanks for ruining our Christmas! read more

I spent a fortune on a new hot tub 4 years ago....year one had multiple service issues with the control panel. In the 3 years since 3 heater units and pipe bursts as soon as it gets cold. I have never been able to use my tub in winter. No matter how nice you are to them they won't speak to you in service. they will however send a tech to repair, who will then charge you for winterizing which is why they want your card number before service under warranty. Do not by from these people. Service is terrible. This is my second hot tub from this retailer I have spent almost 20k there and when they sell you a lemon they won't do anything to help you. read more

American Sale Disturbed with the lack of follow through with this company. I am so disappointed at the level of customer service care we have recieved from them. My mother went there last year to purchase a new pool. As many of you know we have had a pool in our yard for over 35yrs. So we are not newbies here. Our pool was installed in July 2020 and by August we had multiple issues that we needed to have addressed. Small things at first...missing bolts and threaders....which we had to go back and forth to pick up from the store to actually install ourselves. Then other issues we noticed besides missing skimmer gaskets, wrinkled liner, and posts that were bent. None of these issues were ever addressed after multiple calls photos sent. I reached out to them in 2021.....my mother is very upset. She wants the pool repaired or removed. And yet I had no response to rectify this. Fast forward to our ice melt and the entire side of the brand new pool is wrinkled. Supposedly because we winterized incorrectly. But everything was done meticulously, and properly. Now, of course, our claim is being rejected and not addressed because of this New issue. I am beyond livid with this company, and cannot believe the terrible customer service. I read more

We had great experience in the store of course because we were buying a hot tub and custom cover. Hot tub came and a month later the custom cover. The guys that installed didnt even measure and each one bolted cover into side panels. They were crooked. One whole side is cracked. Different guys came out to straighten it out. New panels have been ordered since august and it's now May. You can't get a person at customer service, you have to text. I was told no later than March 30. Well now they tell me they need to contact the warehouse. 3 weeks later no update. We spent thousands of dollars and owned it a month before it was cracked.
