I would highly recommend making sure that your vehicle is up to the challenge - we had to return our first rental car (a Ford of some type) because the transmission couldn't handle the driveway. On the last few days, we had some issues with the satellite, and Tom (one of the proprietors) was nice enough to come down. There was only one thing I had an issue with during our six day stay. At the end, they request that you have all of the dishes cleaned and that you take the trash/ recyclables out. Now, I understand that that makes things easier for them, but I don't expect to be asked to do chores while I'm paying to stay somewhere. Dishes, sure - I would have handled that anyway, because I wasn't raised in a barn. But taking out the trash? Seriously? Not enough to take away a star, but I did find that annoying. Overall, we loved our stay and will probably stay there again when we visit!

We had designated parking and there was a designated pool that we could use if we wanted to and lots of space to walk around on the grass. Couldn't really ask for more and would probably stay here again. The next time we go to Maui. Our unit did have a messed up dryer so we couldn't dry our clothes using it and had to hang them all and also quite a bit of ants but nothing too concerning overall.

Vacasa misrepresents the properties, and in my opinion, this was a health risk and consumer fraud case. I will report and provide photos. Bedroom closets were stuffed with miscellaneous items, vacuum, boxes, no room to hang clothing.​

We were in Maui for our wedding and then honeymoon and Rick & Dale made sure that we were enjoyed our entire stay! First let me say, we are in our mid to late twenties' and this is wonderful place is for all ages, especially if you are looking for a more romantic/private feel away from the touristy resort area (though Eva Villa is only 5 mins. from some of Maui's best beaches). Eva Villa was our tropical oasis! When we first arrived we were greeted with Rick's warm welcoming smile! He has a way of making you feel like family. He introduced himself, showed us around our cottage, then went over some local restaurants, things to do, pretty much helped us plan our entire trip! He also was so sweet and had champagne and a card waiting for us. My sister had called him and asked if he could buy these items as a wedding gift to us. He even wrote in the card for her. C'mon, who does that? Just so sweet! Let me also mention, even before we arrived Rick & Dale were so helpful through email. They told us where to find the cheapest rental car, explained that it would be best to buy tickets for our Luau ahead of time because they sell out, and answered all sorts of other questions we had. What I loved most about our stay were the beautiful early mornings. You wake up to the birds singing right outside your window. So enchanting! We would fill the bird feeder and would watch the finches eat away. We had fresh fruit every morning, yummy bagels and muffins, and delicious coffee. This place really feels like home! Rick & Dale do give you your privacy and ask you to contact them when you need more fruit, or breakfast items. We had made a joke about wanting a papaya because we had just finished the last one, and literally the next morning Rick went to the market and got us papaya! You can tell Rick & Dale have a lot of pride in Eva Villa and in what they do. The day we were leaving we had to check out by 10am because there were guests coming in after us. We had about 4 hours to burn before we had to head to the airport and Rick & Dale let us come back and shower in one of their empty suites after spending the afternoon at the beach. How freaking nice? You don't find that type of hospitality just anywhere. I highly recommend this place to anyone. We hope to return for a future anniversary. Things I loved: Beautiful neighborhood (great for running, awesome hills), close to beaches, close to great restaurants, fully equipped kitchen (we cooked dinners a few night and had everything we needed), affordable, Monkey Boy(the sweet cottage cat), Hot tub & Pool, outside shower, washer & dryer, beautiful grounds, Extremely clean, Plenty of soft towels, and Rick & Dale(Two of the sweetest people in all of Maui)! The most serious issue, however, has been persistent noise and physical vibrations coming from equipment associated with the unit below us. Despite multiple attempts to address the problem which was confirmed by CoralTree was an issue. We continued to experience both the noise and physical vibrations through the floor of our living room. They selectivly do not respond when they are requested to handle the issue which is unacceptable. They have done the same with Booking.com. Unfortunately, the way CoralTree has handled the situation has been an absolute disgrace. We asked for a reasonable solution, either relocate us to another suitable unit or allow us to cancel the remainder of our stay with a refund so that we could find alternative accommodation. CoralTree refused to provide either solution, effectively leaving us with no option other than to remain in accommodation where we were experiencing an ongoing disturbance. We have been incredibly patient and have given CoralTree multiple opportunities to resolve the problems. Instead of feeling supported as paying guests, we have spent a significant part of our vacation dealing with complaints, maintenance visits, correspondence, and trying to get basic assistance from the company responsible for managing our stay. The level of service, quality, comfort, and hospitality we have received does not come close to reflecting the price we are paying. We also booked believing that Wailea Grand Champions would provide something closer to a resort experience. In reality, it is a condominium complex with a mix of vacation rentals and permanent residents, and there appear to be tensions surrounding the rental units. We have unfortunately also experienced problems with the HOA during our stay. As paying guests on vacation, we should not have to deal with whatever issues exist between vacation rentals, residents, property management, and the HOA. The only genuinely positive part of our experience has been the maintenance staff. CoralTree management, however, has completely failed us when we actually needed guest support. At this point, CoralTree feels like the Temu version of Airbnb, except at premium prices. What should have been a peaceful and beautiful vacation on Maui has instead been consumed by problems and by our attempts to get CoralTree to provide a reasonable solution. On a final note, I strongly encourage anyone considering booking with CoralTree to read the other negative reviews carefully. One particularly disturbing review describes a family whose trip had to be cancelled because of a natural disaster, yet, according to their review, CoralTree refused to issue them a refund. Reading that experience after seeing how CoralTree has handled our own situation was deeply concerning. When you are spending a significant amount of money on a vacation, you should be able to trust that the company you are booking with will show some level of responsibility, flexibility, and basic human compassion when something genuinely goes wrong. Please save your money, time, and energy. Based on our experience, I would never book another property managed by CoralTree, and I strongly recommend that others think very carefully before doing so. The only warning is that the studio did have a damp feel to it, but that was to be expected since we were in the cooler rainier portion of the island. Not only was the location ideal for our hike into the crater, it was a really enchanting place to begin our Maui visit.

My girlfriend (ex) and I went here and Jim and Kim Wicker, who run the place and live downstairs, were perfect hosts and even lent us a tour CD that guided us along the infamous Road To Hana. Sure there are hotels right on the beach, but you wont have to dodge screaming kids running through the halls dripping from the pool or ocean, or worry about noise from shared walls. Instead you get peace and comfort. You may also get surprise fresh made treats now and then, that Kim bakes up and leaves for you on the counter after cleanup. Wai Ola is plenty close to everything. You're about 1/2 mile from the ocean and all the Lahaina hot spots. If you plan on going to Lahaina, Maui Hawaii, Try this place and you'll be very pleased. You definitely need a car if you are going to stay there, it is close to everything but not really within walking distance of anything. The cost was great; it was about the price of a hotel, but you get a pool, use of laundry facilities, you can borrow the coolers and beach stuff they have, and you get fresh baked treats. The only caveat is they have an extensive list of rules, and the owners can come across a little snarky in the enforcement of them. Like the pool can only be used at this time and that time, or you can't put stuff on the chairs by the pool, or the laundry hours are from this time to that time. They do it to create a relaxing and enjoyable environment for all the guests, and it works, but I think if they were just a bit less rigid and militant, people would still mind the rules and they wouldn't seem so aggressive. Overall it's a great alternative to a hotel, and if you like to buy your own food and plan your day according to your needs, not those of a hotel, this is the place for you. Star Market supplied the lau lau and poke, we borrowed some movies from Kim and Jim, and stayed in one afternoon, a welcome break from the activity on our 10 day Hawaii honeymoon. The parking is easy and having visitor parking is extremely easy! Everyone is nice but everyone walks in the streets, so drive slowly and be careful. It's central to everything. Management is incredibly accommodating and hospitable.
