Place is a little outdated and it's very lucked based on what kind of place you get - there's units that are more up to date and others that have hardly anything. Our unit was fine - came with most standard amentities. However, we were on the first floor and there weren't true windows on some sides of the complex. Instead, there were these shutter like coverings with screens. This was horrid in terms of noise - there's quiet hours here, but because of these faux windows, you could def. hear when people locked their cars or were rolling luggage to their cars at 5AM. A/C was window units. Kitchen was nicely stocked but lacked cooking oil, which is really strange because you had everything you needed EXCEPT that. Check in occurs at a different location (you'll get an email about it). Check out was extremely easy - simply text them to check out. Please do not stay here, and think very carefully before booking anything managed by CoralTree. We have experienced one problem after another since the moment we checked in, from not receiving the access code or necessary arrival information, to issues with the cable, cleanliness, and the condition of the condo itself, which is outdated and does not reflect the price we are paying. The most serious issue, however, has been persistent noise and physical vibrations coming from equipment associated with the unit below us. Despite multiple attempts to address the problem which was confirmed by CoralTree was an issue. We continued to experience both the noise and physical vibrations through the floor of our living room. They selectivly do not respond when they are requested to handle the issue which is unacceptable. They have done the same with Booking.com. Unfortunately, the way CoralTree has handled the situation has been an absolute disgrace. We asked for a reasonable solution, either relocate us to another suitable unit or allow us to cancel the remainder of our stay with a refund so that we could find alternative accommodation. CoralTree refused to provide either solution, effectively leaving us with no option other than to remain in accommodation where we were experiencing an ongoing disturbance. We have been incredibly patient and have given CoralTree multiple opportunities to resolve the problems. Instead of feeling supported as paying guests, we have spent a significant part of our vacation dealing with complaints, maintenance visits, correspondence, and trying to get basic assistance from the company responsible for managing our stay. The level of service, quality, comfort, and hospitality we have received does not come close to reflecting the price we are paying. We also booked believing that Wailea Grand Champions would provide something closer to a resort experience. In reality, it is a condominium complex with a mix of vacation rentals and permanent residents, and there appear to be tensions surrounding the rental units. We have unfortunately also experienced problems with the HOA during our stay. As paying guests on vacation, we should not have to deal with whatever issues exist between vacation rentals, residents, property management, and the HOA. The only genuinely positive part of our experience has been the maintenance staff. CoralTree management, however, has completely failed us when we actually needed guest support. At this point, CoralTree feels like the Temu version of Airbnb, except at premium prices. What should have been a peaceful and beautiful vacation on Maui has instead been consumed by problems and by our attempts to get CoralTree to provide a reasonable solution. On a final note, I strongly encourage anyone considering booking with CoralTree to read the other negative reviews carefully. One particularly disturbing review describes a family whose trip had to be cancelled because of a natural disaster, yet, according to their review, CoralTree refused to issue them a refund. Reading that experience after seeing how CoralTree has handled our own situation was deeply concerning. When you are spending a significant amount of money on a vacation, you should be able to trust that the company you are booking with will show some level of responsibility, flexibility, and basic human compassion when something genuinely goes wrong. Please save your money, time, and energy. Based on our experience, I would never book another property managed by CoralTree, and I strongly recommend that others think very carefully before doing so. We've been to Maui multiple times before, but always stay on our Resort on the West side. This time we decided to spend the week before our resort on other places on the island. Our first three nights were spent in Wailea at the Wailea Grand Champions. The check in was confusing, because you actually need to go to the strip mall a few stops before you get to your designation, which is where the office is. Everything else from there is smooth sailing. The property is GREAT, the Villas, AMAZING. I felt right at home the minute I walked in. Beautiful, homey, decorated awesome. Right on the golf course. The toiletries were fantastic and I actually took a picture to purchase that same brand once I get home. The pool area, hot tub area, all great. The staff, WONDERFUL. Unit 183. Prior to booking we just took a look at all the available units and where they were on a map. We wanted a ground floor and something near the pool, so our son could swim. As you can see in the pictures, this unit is gorgeous. There aren't any views but it's okay. We wanted to stay in a non-hotel setting and this feels more residential. There is also a washer dryer unit on the lanai. It's a very quiet place, no smoking in the entire place, nice and clean. read more

Beautiful and stunning view!!!! We got a 3 bedroom 2 bath condo with the view of the golf course at our patio. My sister is picky, but she absolutely loved the place! I'm not sure the layout of the other units, but when I searched there were not many 3 bed 2 bath. Ours is located on the ground floor at the very end with lots of privacy at the balcony but not so much in the master bedroom since the patio faces the parking lot. The grounds were very nice too. I love the green lawn outside and it's amazing to walk out there in the middle of the night and lie on the grass to watch the stars. The staff is amazing! Check in office is separate from the complex but it's only couple blocks down. They're all very friendly and you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas directly from them, have them delivered to your door the next day. Also there are coupons for golfing and other stuff. Grand Champions is the cost effective housing when traveling thru Maui! Located in Wailea you feel the Aloha spirit as you make the drive from the airport. Many of these unites have full time residents but others are rented for your pleasure. Benefits is the your close to The Mall of Wailia which has many 1st class shops & restaurants like Ruth Chris, Tommy Bahamas , Gucci , Louis Vuitton and even an ABC store. Also your within walking distance to the Wailea Tennis Courts should you bring your racket. You also have access to 2 swimming pools which have chairs , bathrooms and BBQ's available for your use. Beaches are very accessible and very close. You have McKenna Beach close by and your within a few mile drive to Kihei and those public beaches. You get a lot of amenities for the price here, especially for Wailea where all the hotels are insanely expensive. The condo we rented was 4 times the size of the room we had at the Grand Wailea hotel earlier in the week and it only cost half the price. The condo came with a full kitchen, multiple air conditioning units for each room, a nice deck with a partial ocean view, a free parking spot, a washer/dryer in the unit and a fridge and freezer. The complex also had a free shuttle that ran until 10 pm. The neighborhood is about half a mile from the beach, so a shuttle ride takes less than 5 minutes. All of the bars and shops in Wailea are literally across the street. Checking in was easy.... once we found the correct building. You have to check in at the shopping plaza at 34 Wailea Gateway Pl Suite A102. Our condo was HUGE and everything was super clean when we arrived. The room service people only come once every 3 days, which I LOVED. I was able to sleep in every morning. The neighborhood was super quiet and we never heard a peep at night. I would absolutely recommend staying here. If I had to complain, I would say that pool is small, but we never used it anyway. Maybe this would be an issue if you had small kids who wanted a giant pool. read more

Stayed for 8 days with our family of 7 for spring break. Worst experience. The place was outdated with old furniture, floors were sticky the very first day and to top it off they did not provide spare sheets when we complained of bugs in the bed. They said we had to wash the sheets provided and reuse them. The furniture in the unit we stayed was broken and was a safety hazard. For the ridiculously high amount charged for the place the customer service was a joke. There are beautiful golf grounds around the place. Beware! Don't step or walk on them as you will be chased away by golf-cart drivers. There were no sign on the golf-course ever stating that it was private property. We did see people walking on them. But, when we were walking with our children in the afternoon we were chased away by golf-cart driver Andrea. It was definitely racist attitude shown for no reason. When we told them that we were renting the unit, she said that she doesn't care and that we have to step of the ground or will call the security. We requested the lady to let us go for the one time as it was hot afternoon, and is hard for kids to walk all the way around to the front of the property. But, she was arrogant. We came to Hawaii to relax and have fun. Not, to be chased by irritated, racist people. If they don't want people stepping on the golf grounds there should be clear signs stating that. You get what you pay for. It was hard for me to find anything in between something that looks old and something that looks nice, like the Marriott. Out of frustration, I just decided to go with Grand Champions. We rented a 2 bedroom condo for 4 nights (total $597, ~ $149/night). SUMMARY: - We received the wrong code for the door. We spent half an hour trying to figure out how to work the lock on the door, then resorted to calling and the lady told us we were given the wrong key. - The entire condo had a weird old smell to it. Not sure where it came from. - I found a couple of spots on the wall (all around the condo) that was dirty. This can easily be cleaned. - Their beds were really soft and gave us backaches that lasted a couple of days. - I didn't like the fact that one of the rooms had a king size bed that was made up of two twin beds. I'm sure it was uncomfortable for them to sleep in. - We had to take out the trash ourselves the last day (instructions were on the refrigerator) Overall, I've had better and will probably not be coming back to Champions again. Super cute and comfortable place to stay at with your spouse or kids. Bedrooms are spacious with big bathrooms. Two exit doors to the front. I'm not sure if all the rentals are the same or similar, but ours has dishes, dish soap, laundry on site with laundry soap. You get swimming pool access with a jacuzzi and grill. Nice condo place a 20 min. walk to the beach (about 3/4 of a mile...NOT as the crow flies) or Shops at Wailea....plus other stores and restaurants within walking distance (Easier going down the hill than back...as you might expect). It's right next to a golf course and tennis center. Basically, if you're looking to save $$$, you can get real close to the fancy places, and have a decent place to stay. Our unit even had a partial ocean view of Lanai on the lanai (yes, pun intended, no I'm not making this up). The unit was comfortably decorated, clean, with large screen TV and had vacation supplies (e.g. beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, cooler, umbrella, games, etc.). My biggest beef would probably be the cheapish, old, window-mounted ACs. They worked ok, but had a wet, funk smell (one had a disgusting bucket growing a cancer cure under it). This is one of the few places you can get a reasonable 3 bedroom condo in Wailea. I paid $500/night before all the taxes, which is half what the cost would have been for a condo close to the ocean. It is a good deal for what it is. There is a small pool in the complex, but you are better off just going to the beach (isn't that why you came to Maui?). Regarding the impossible parking noted by the previous reviewer, the simple solution is to go to the Grand Wailea Resort, let them park for you, and buy a drink for $10 to get the validation. All of the public beach lots will fill, especially on weekends, but you can drive towards Makena for less crowded options. The parking issue is part of why it is much cheaper than oceanfront options. It is about a 10-15 min walk to the shopping mall, and there is a restaurant at the tennis courts that is 5 mins away. But, basically, you are driving to most stuff. There is only 1 parking spot per condo, though there are also guest spots. The quality of my condo was fine, and seemed in line for the price point in Wailea. My condo was definitely old, but had been redone so that it was not dumpy, and had nice flat screen tv's and wifi. My mother in law stayed in a 1bd near us, and hers was also nice. The condos have wall unit a/c instead of central. The bedroom units had been upgraded and were reasonably quiet. I never heard any of our neighbors, though I am sure they heard our screaming kids. We had daily maid service. The high speed internet, provided by Time Warner Oceanic, was flaky--it seemed to go down for most of the night and come back on about 9am. This was a drag when I was jet-lagged and awake at 4am. read more

The condos here are all individually owned, so conditions may vary. We stayed in #134. The rooms were clean, the condo well made and maintained. Good kitchen for eating in, two balconies. Golf and tennis is within walking distance, but the beaches are mostly a short drive away. There are two pools on the property, but we wanted to hit the waves. The pools would be good for families with small kids. There is a lot to do in Maui, so we spent a lot of time out of the condo, but the condo was perfect for meals, sleeping and relaxing. read more

My fiancé and I stayed here for the second half part of our Babymoon. The condo is nice with all the amenities that made us feel at home. The patio had a beautiful golf course view and It is a 5 minute drive from the beach entrance between Four Seasons and Grand Wailea. There is a full kitchen with dishwasher and 2 bathrooms with soaps and shampoos if needed. I couldn't find the laundry machine inside the condo so I am not sure if there is a shared laundry room or if it was inside a locked closet that we couldn't access. We didn't need it anyway since we weren't staying very long. The condo has good wifi and the TV in both the living room and bedroom had cable. The only thing I didn't really like was the air conditioning unit in the bedroom. It blows very strong towards the bed so we had to put something in front of the vent to redirect the airflow, so it wouldn't give us a sore throat in the morning. The management guest office to check in for Dream Residencies is located in the Wailea Gateway Plaza, which is a shopping plaza, not in the condo area itself. Wow!! I cannot say enough amazing things about this place! The grounds are spectacular. It's like a very well manicured tropical garden. You get a jungle experience just going into the parking lot. My friend was getting married and this is where the bridal party stayed before the wedding. It is located in a lovely neighborhood and the condo was amazing. It was clean and spacious. There were five of us so we stayed in a three bedroom condo. One of the rooms had a queen bed so two people shared that room. The second bedroom had two twin size beds so two of us slept in that room. Then there was a huge master bedroom with a king size bed, it's own lanai, walk-in closet and a huge bathroom and that is where the bride stayed. There was an additional bathroom the rest of us shared. The condo had a nice kitchen and so we were able to cook and make healthy smoothies. There are bar stools and also a dining table. It also had a huge lanai and a patio table that seated six. We had an amazing view of the ocean and golf course. This is where we ate breakfast/brunch each day. There was also a washer and dryer on the patio. The living room was huge. It had a huge sectional and tv. We were able to do some quick workouts in the living room each morning. That is how roomy it was. The condo had wifi and was on the third floor. Although we had a rental car, we walked to the shops and beach on one of the days. The shopping center is amazing. It has a variety of designer stores like Gucci and Prada, but also has other stores like Banana Republic, ABC store, restaurants, an amazing ice-cream place with homemade waffle cones, an amazing cookie store, an amazing shaved ice place, and a variety of other stores. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Wailea, this is your best best. read more

We stayed in Unit 84 in late June having reserved from Destination Resorts. Our experience was great!!! Reserving through Destination Resorts was very easy, they provided excellent information regarding the reservation, resort and checking in prior to arrival, and were great to deal with throughout our stay. We arrived after their office was closed and picking up our keys and check-in packet at the security office of another resort just a few blocks away was very easy. We can't say enough great things about Unit 84. It is a roomy 3 bedroom unit that has been very tastefully updated. Gourmet kitchen, beautiful furniture and appointments throughout, big bathrooms that have also been updated, and the entire unit was well stocked with towels, linens, kitchen supplies, etc. This unit has central AC rather than wall units that you find in many of the units at Grand Champions and other condo resorts, and a brand new in unit washer and dryer in a convenient closet off the balcony. Destination Resorts provided a really nice welcome basket with chocolates, and big beach towels for us to use throughout our stay and the unite was super clean and impeccably neat upon our arrival. The roomy condo was ample room for our party of 8 including grandparents, kids 14, 11, and 3, and us parents. It was great having three separate rooms for our group and two bathrooms, the big open plan kitchen, dining, living area was great for all of us to gather in in the morning for breakfast and in the evenings after a day of activities. The balcony was another favorite spot with plenty of chairs to sit on to view the awesome views of the golf course down to the ocean and spectacular sunsets over Wailea. In room wi-fi was also a great feature with strong continuous service. The location of the resort is great as well. Wailea has some of the best beaches on the island which are just a short drive away. Closer beaches are within about a 15 minute walk away down the hill. There are excellent shops and restaurants nearby and there is easy access to the Pilani Highway that takes you across the island quickly, or Kihei Road that takes you along the coast. Kihei is just 10 minutes up the road with more family type activities and restaurants, more of a beach town feel. If you are looking for a big comfortable unit at a great resort and aren't hung up on not being beachfront, this place is an awesome option. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED read more

Wow, there is such a wide discrepancy in the quality of the various units! We have stayed twice at this complex now, once in unit 166 last year and now in unit 164, both 2 bed/2 bath top floor units that were booked directly with the owner via VRBO. Both units are exceptionally clean; well-stocked with beach toys, towels, kitchen gear, and bathroom toiletries (we only travel with carry-ons as we know we don't need to bring shampoo, soap, or beach gear other than swimsuits!); nicely decorated with quality furnishings (Tempurpedic beds!); and reasonably priced. After cleaning fees and taxes, we pay about $250-275/night (unit 166 is slightly more expensive because it was remodeled more recently and is nicer). That is a great price for a 2 bed/2 bath unit with a washer and dryer right on the lanai (balcony)! I do laundry every day to wash swimsuits, towels, and dirty clothes so we pack fewer clothes knowing we have convenient access to laundry. The complex also has a nice family pool with restrooms and a shower, which our girls loved. Location also can't be beat! We love the easy 5 minute drive to Wailea Beach and Ulua Beach, both great options but usually easiest for the guests of those 4 star beachfront resorts to use given limited parking. Fortunately, for a fraction of the price, we get more space (I love having a separate bedroom for the kids!) AND we can enjoy these same beaches, too. Plus, it helps that we stay on CA time so we are there by 6 am Hawaii time and easily get a close parking space. There are also some great restaurants within a 5-15 minute drive and fun activities (golf, tennis, shopping and more if the beach isn't enough). The complex is also peaceful and quiet, compared to the cheaper condos in Kihei that seem more densely packed in. Plus we aren't adjacent to a major street so there's no street noise, The cons would include: - no central AC, so we have noisy window units in the bedrooms - can't easily walk to the beach (5 minute drive, could walk if we didn't have kids and all the toys/towels/stuff to lug) - no daily housekeeping (I find myself wiping up a lot of sand in the entryway every day!) and we actually have to empty all garbage cans, strip the sheets, and start laundry for the cleaning service on our last morning! We stayed here after my meeting was over at the Four Seasons and while I stayed at the Grand Wailea which was fantastic. The Grand Champions was very nice and cozy. The unit we stayed at overlooked the golf course which was gorgeous. The sounds of the different type of birds made our stay so relaxing. The condo is literally minutes from the Grand Wailea and from the main strip of Kihei. We'll be staying here again on our next visit to Maui. The villas is located in a great spot in Wailea. The property is super clean and maintained well. We got a killer deal here but more then likely would not stay here for what the prices go for on a regular basis ($1900 a week). Very small pools and not enough BBQ for a property this big. Have to walk a ways to get to one of you are on the end of the property. Both pools are located in the center of the property with the BBQ's. Would be nice if the pool areas were bigger and spread out. Don't plan on going to the pool to have fun with the kids. It's a quiet zone...... SMDH!! We are staying in unit 43. The unit is in fair condition (a little old), and was not very clean upon arrival. That was a big disappointment after traveling for 10 hours. The coffee maker had food splatters all over it, the microwave and appliances were dirty. Including crumbs and a dirty floor, the kitchen was rather gross! After two nights a very, very loud family moved in above us. Yelling, screaming, clapping, jumping, and loud music (they are not having a party, it is just the family). Don't know where the security guard is, but we are thinking about calling the police. The pool is slightly below us. If you like hearing yelling, fighting and crying kids while in paradise - this place would be perfect for you. There are no grounds around the pool, so it is very close-in and loud. Our last visit to Maui we stayed in Ekahi Village...STAY THERE INSTEAD. It was a fabulous location with a beautiful pool and spectacular grounds. Plus it was clean and quiet. Much, much nicer place. We always stay here when we vacation in Maui. It is a 10 min walk (through the golf course) down to Ulua Beach which has great snorkeling reefs, and a nice stretch of sand. It is also walking distance to the shops of Wailea (Mall) and some of the large resorts. The quality of condos vary by owner, we have encountered awesome ones with everything you could need... boogie boards, coolers, chairs, etc. But have also had ones that felt like the dining room chairs were going to break underneath you every time you sat in them. Either way the location is well worth it and the views are great. The complex has a few pools/ hot tubs and we always love to spend a couple nights down at the community grills. Overall highly recommend!!! read more

I know these are individually owned condos so you may get something great or something not so great. We lucked out with our place. The villas are in a perfect location in Wailea. Close to shops, beaches and our favorite Wailea restaurant, Monkey Pod. Our condo was a 1 bedroom,2 bath unit. It sleeps 6 and had all the furnishings plus recreational gear like boogie boards and umbrellas. Checked out the 2 pools on property too. Small but nice. We had golf course view which I recommend since it is also a view of the ocean. Great experience! read more

I booked this condo for our stay for my destination wedding. We booked unit # 166 and I must say it was more than what I have ever expected. The condo was fully stocked with household items, everything was furnished from furnitures to kitchen appliance to bathroom shampoos and conditioner. I planned ahead prior to booking and had stopped by Coscto upon our arrival so we can purchase snacks and food for our stay so we did not have to eat out every meal since there is a refridgerator and etc... The unit is very well maintained, the only thing is you will have to leave the place the way you entered. Make sure to empty all the trash and etc prior to your departure. I loved the area , extremely close to Mokapu Beach (my wedding location) and Makena Cove was probably 10 minutes away (my pre wedding photo shoot ). The Luau we attend was about 5 minutes away and the shopping centers were in the same area. The entire time we were there for about 6 days, we only pumped gas once in our minivan rental and that was prior to returning it on the day we headed out. :) Great place to stay and the area is fantastic. I will definitely look forward to staying here again in the future! read more

We have stayed here twice, in 2013 in #6A and last year in #22, and are looking forward to staying here next October. The owners were very nice and they take care of little problems right away. The only negative is the kitchen in #22 could use an update. The tile countertop is kind of nasty and hard to clean. Otherwise great condos at a reasonable price for Wailea. read more
