If I could give zero stars, I would. I called about 15 minutes before coming in and explained that I wanted fake nails with gel polish - my exact words. The person on the phone said that was fine and they could take me. When I arrived, they removed my existing gel polish and immediately began filing my natural nails down without asking how short I wanted them or what shape I preferred. I had stopped my nail tech and said I didn't want my nails filed that short, even though I was planning to have acrylics applied. Out of nowhere, the owner walked over and interrupted my conversation with the nail technician and began raising her voice at me in front of the entire salon. She insisted that I had asked for "powder and tips" on the phone. I said that I never said that (I don't know what powder is!), I simply asked for acrylic nails with gel polish. Instead of listening, she continued arguing and yelling at me in front of other customers. I repeatedly asked her to stop raising her voice and explained again what I wanted. She kept insisting I said something else on the phone. At this point the entire salon was staring at her because of how loudly she was speaking to me. It was extremely uncomfortable and honestly one of the most bizarre customer service experiences I've ever had. Eventually I told her I no longer wanted the service and asked if they could just put a clear coat on my nails so I could leave, since they had already removed my polish and tips. She continued trying to argue with me until I finally had to say "Ma'am I'd prefer for you to stop talking to me." I ended up getting up and leaving because the situation had become so uncomfortable. I have never been spoken to that way in a business, especially by an owner. Completely unprofessional and unnecessary. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. read more

Will not be recommending this place. Firstly and most importantly I had a bad experience w my tech. I don't know her name but she was an older woman. She spent much of the time I was in her chair insulting me to another worker not thinking I could understand her language. Unfortunately for her she was wrong and I understood every word. For weeks I had been anticipating fellowshipping with my girlfriends, delightful food, uncontrollable laughs, and thought-provoking conversations are guaranteed to ensue. We sat at the table for hours, it is not often that we are able to come together for hours amid our rigorous and demanding lives, as always, it is so difficult for us to part. Prior to us leaving, I went online to check the hours of a nail shop that I had frequented several times in the past. Not because the service was exceptional, but mainly because it is convenient. I live about 20 minutes from the city; I am usually in the city for shopping and dining. I knew my week would be demanding and I might not get the opportunity to slip away for a manicure, so today was all about convenience. I walked in the nail shop, the greeting was lackluster, which was perfectly fine; I knew enjoyable conversation was only a phone call. I told the "manager" upfront specifically what I wanted, removal of the shellac polish and a classic manicure. I asked if I could use the restroom prior to the start of my service. I walked back and waited a few minutes until deciding to just be seated for my service. The nail tech walks over with a book of gel and shellac colors, although I expressed my want for a simple manicure. I guess because I was not adamant or demanding, they assumed overwhelming me with options would be a buy-in, and it was! I chose a color, and the service started. Everything was extremely quick; no real diligence, and I questioned the number of shellac coats, the tech assured me two were more than enough. Again, we are moving at a very rapid pace, nothing was considered other than getting it done! The tech starts to apply lotion and oil before asking me to remove my jewelry. I walked in with three rings: two on my ring finger on the left hand, and one on the ring finger on my right hand. I removed my rings, and the tech thanked me for doing so. I took off my rings and she added lotion then I again took the initiative to remove my watch and bracelet. I gently placed all my jewelry in a towel. Once the service is complete, I leave all my belongings and head to wash my hands. I went towards the restroom and then noticed feces on the door upon entering. I did not bother to bring it to anyone's attention, assuming at closing they would see it and clean it. Then I proceed to get my belongings and check out. Of course, I added a 25% tip although my experience was between meeting expectations and average. But tipping anyone in a service field is something I pride myself on doing. I left, and about a mile up the road, I realized one of my rings is missing. I ask my girlfriend to locate their number, she calls and explains to the "manager" that my ring is missing, and I am headed back in to retrieve it. Immediately upon returning, the manager seemed frustrated, no concern, just upset! There was never an express of regret and accused me factually stating my ring was still there, wrapped in a towel. I asked her if she could check the towel disposal because it could have been potentially wrapped in a towel as that is where I left it. She told me they checked, and the tech was called to return but she had no knowledge of the missing ring. The manager pulls camera footage from her phone to show me that I walked out with all my jewelry. Even when she and I watched, she argued with me about the placement location of my rings. I explained very calmly that the missing ring was on my right hand. She was still not in agreement until replaying it multiple times then she acknowledged that the camera did show me removing all rings, walking away, and then something happened that I certainly was not expecting. I noticed once the nail tech cleaned around her area, she pulled away and seemed to remove something and fold the towel up. Finally, the tech appears, and she was pissed, clearly! There was no doubt about it. She came in abrupt and abrasive, they communicated in a way that only they would understand. By which is extremely rude especially in front of a customer who has expressed the loss of a valuable personal item. A man appeared who could have better mitigated the exchange. He stood back, did not say much to offer me any comfort or acknowledgement on my experience. I made it clear to him, the manager, and the tech, I never accused anyone of stealing. I thought it to be a simple mistake of disposing a towel with items inside unbeknownst to the person discarding it. The nail tech allegedly storms off to go through the towel bin and comes out...and guess what, my ring magically appears. And even after being there for 30+ minutes pleading, patiently waiting for a resolve, not one single person apologized for what I experienced! I am almost positive I would have been treated completely differently if I belonged to another demographic. What I hoped to be a Sunday ending on a high, I was left upset, feeling ostracized, and devalued for my attempted theft! read more

DON'T GO!!! I've been coming here since I moved to Houston almost 3 years ago, I was a loyal customer until today. I had dipping powdered on a Monday and they started pilling on Friday. I returned the next Wednesday to have them fixed and Tiara "the manager" told me I had to pay for a full set again because it's been already too long! ( Not even 10 days) ... She was very rude and didn't even acknowledge the fact that it because of their low quality powder that my nails got messed up. I paid over $120 for these nails. The owner Hellen Dong is a thief. She has unethical business practices. I had pedicure before a trip. The tech cut my toe. I was unable to walk on my trip. Hellen offered a redo once I got in town. I went in today. She remembered me. She put the same tech on me. She spoke to the tech in their language. The tech over charged for callus removal. I'm hating service is always included. Hellen offered me 20% discount after stating the service would be complimentary. I agreed to pay for the discount. My total was $30. I got home to see she charged me $41.20. I called her. I did. It get a receipt. I went back in. She provided me a Receipt for $41.20. She doctored the transaction and overcharged. I cannot believe that she overcharged, lied and is completely unethical. She lost a client over $10. I suggest you get a receipt before leaving and check your bank statement upon leaving. She overcharges after you leave. On top of that I had to educate the technician that you are suppose to put down a base coat before the shellac to bind the polish, basic knowledge you can find online. Nail tech cut my ankle when doing the callouses scrub because he was moving fast and just being careless. Then they gave me maybe a 30 second massage with hot stones and claimed to give me a 5 min massage when I asked when I was gonna get my massage. They didn't clean up my nails after I was done or put a top coat. I paid $44 for this crappy service. Definitely won't be coming back read more

I came in to get dipped nails, the guy did a horrible job and a QUICK job. He rushed it and you could tell...there was residue all over my fingers. My skin under my nail was stuck to my nail and he didn't even finish a few of the top coats. Horrible job. He RUSHED to the next customer and yet didnt care about what he had to fix. LUCKILY!!!! HENRY CAME IN TO SAVE THE DAY Henry fixed the errors that he created and I was so thankful he was there. The main issue I am having still is that the original guy applied the dip too thick and didn't shave more down....so it's bulging! Horrible job to the first guy....but I'm thankful for Henry on fixing a few issues. I will try again next month but only go to Henry! I was so disappointed in the lack of customer service from some of the staff there. They need more people like Henry working there. Henry gets 5 star rating. But the place overall gets 2. I came in to fix my nails and do gel on my toes while on vacation. My lady was very attentive but I didn't like the way my nails turned out. It's shaped uneven and also when she filed the powder, some of the colors pigmentation came off. I like the fact she's apologetic and tried her best, I get that sometimes the quality of the powder is off but my nails became a bit too thick due to the unwanted coats. They than told me a hour later after the lady was putting paint on my toes that nobody would be able to do my nails because they were ready to go home. I was highly upset because I should've been told that when i walked in. I gave them another chance and went back so my nails and toes could match. 2 days later after I have gotten my nails done my nails were popping off like they were press ons. I always have a reservation and it never makes a difference...I get there, they acknowledge I have an appointment then make me wait 15-20 minutes...yes, being ignored with your feet soaking in hot water is still waiting...again, I ALWAYS have a appointment. I end up having to be there for two hours(I get no polish/just buff/two hours is WAY too long for this)...which would be fine if I didn't spend the first hour plus being angry about having to wait...this is suppose to be a wholly relaxing experience...it is not. As I was in the service industry for 20 years, I can't (for my own mental health/positivity)tip less than 20% no matter how poorly I'm treated...maybe that's part of the problem...they know I'll tip well even if I get sub par service...those days are gone...there are WAY to many nail places in River Oaks/Upper Kirby to keep rewarding this behavior...so, somebody else will be getting my monthly mani/pedi business from this point forward...makes me sad/my mom and I come here before our monthly lunch/end of an era. p.s. But she did a good job on my pedicure. Now...emry... this woman is nice nasty!! I paid SEVENTY (yes, 70) dollars for crooked almond shaped nails, Uneven lines and over flowing acrylic.
