Stephen has come to my home to repair both my washer and dryer numerous times over the years since we've been stationed here on Fort Meade military base. Each time, he is on time for the appointment and pleasant to work with. I'm kind of old school and have been cringing at the thought of moving to a newer model washer & dryer with no agitator and more technology. I feel these newer appliances look good, but just don't last as long as the older models. My older ones have lasted 17 years and at least five military moves. I really wanted to make these last till the end of this last assignment. Stephen has revived my Kenmore Elite dryer at least twice! He also fixed the agitator on our washer when we first moved in 2 years ago and it's still functioning fine. Very disappointed, Mr. Stephen came to do a service on my dryer. Started cleaning it, did something that caused it not to come back on. He left and said he would call me because he needed to check for the part but never returned a call .never called to say anything. and dryer was somewhat functioning. now it is not turning on at all. no power .. this is not good business .. Beware!!! Dremus Appliance Repair LLC is not professional at all and doesn't care about customer satisfaction. The technician, Steven, came to our home to repair our microwave and although he did eventually repair it, he left damages behind. Our microwave is at the top of a microwave/oven unit. The unit is pretty big and would be difficult for 1 person to repair. But he insisted that he could do it. After he left our home, we noticed that the bottom lip of our oven was damaged. Because our contract is with AHS, we called them to report the damage after he left. When AHS contacted Steven, he told them that he didn't damage our unit. So, AHS recalled the work order to have him come back out to take a look. I decided to call him myself and he was extremely rude and unprofessional. He told me that he didn't cause the damage and that I needed to take it up with AHS. I tried to explain that I saw when he pulled the huge unit out of the wall and dropped it onto his lift and it seemed like he was a little rough with it; that is probably what caused the damage. It wasn't damaged before he arrived and no one else pulled that unit out after he fixed it. He told me that he didn't care that AHS recalled the work order because he was going to cancel it. That's so unprofessional. Why not take responsibility for the damage you caused? In addition to the damage he caused, two other things stood out to me: (1) He showed up to our house and tried to put on shoe booties that were brown and dirty. So, I offered him some fresh booties (that we keep at out front door from when we had work done in our house previously). He gave me a lot of lip about how COVID-19 is not on his shoes and I told him that we don't wear shoes in the house (post-COVID and pre-COVID) and would prefer for him to wear the "clean" booties. He eventually did. (2) Then, when he started the repair, I talked to him a bit and then began to watch what he was doing. He told me that technicians don't like to be watch and I was supposed to go away while he worked. I told him that I had never heard that before and that I will watch him since he's in my home. I eventually walked away for a bit, but after he damaged my unit, I regret that. If you want your appliances fixed and by someone who is courteous and professional, then don't go with Dremus Appliance Repair LLC. read more

I received absolutely no customer service from an associate of Dremus. I called to have a gas dryer repaired -- likely only an igniter issue -- but was not asked any questions regarding the dryer's location, the model of the dryer, whether it was stacked or not, or anything of that nature. When the service man arrived late, he seemed surprised that my unit was stacked, and he did not bring the right equipment to make any repairs. We agreed that he would come back a few days later to repair the issue but never called to confirm. Instead, I called him, and he told me that his car broke down and that he would call me later. Never received a phone call so I called another company. I can't speak for their actual repair work, but their appreciation for customers is extremely lacking. read more

Terrible service. Terrible company. Stephen was sent to us by a third party agency (and no worries, I plan to review them as well) and did a terrible job on the refrigerator. The unit broke the next day and he has not returned any of my phone calls. I have filed a case against him, and the third party agent for sending over a TV repair man to fix my refrigerator. It has been nearly 2 weeks and Stephen has continued to avoid my calls and return to fix the unit. I definitely recommend to look elsewhere and avoid this person. He is a scammer at best. read more

I feel obliged to warn anyone that considers retaining the DREMUS APPLIANCE REPAIR that this company is a sham and that the serviceman / proprietor is nothing more than a con man, He will boast that he is an experienced service repair technician when the facts are that he has very limited ability to diagnose the problem and less ability to make repairs. My experience with him was appalling. He will typically demand advance payment and then proceed to waist time going through the pathetic pantomime pretending to repair the appliance when he is actually stalling for time. For over four weeks he claimed that he was waiting on a thermostat part too arrive to complete the repair when in fact he had never ordered the pat. Also he tried to convince me that the appliance was working fine but that it will needed three days to cool and that we were not to open the door during that time. Clearly this was a ploy to give him time to make his exit and cash the chreque. The proper service man that I ultimately had to retain to correct the damage to the refrigerator that Stephen caused stated that the parts that Stephen installed were cheap used, inappropriate components and that the incorrect refrigerant was used. He also commented on the poor standard of workmanship and the dreadful soldering of the copper tubing. Some of his written statement is as follows; * The unit was running but not cooling on my initial inspection * It is not possible for the unit to run properly with the existing parts that have been installed * The ice maker was not functioning On inspection of the recent repairs I have noted the following * The compressor that has been installed is not compatible with this appliance and will not function. * The refrigerant that is used in the model compressor that has been installed is incorrect. On inspection of the standard of work it is my opinion that the standard falls well below that which would be expected of an a Appliance Repair Professional serviceman. In this respect amongst the workmanship inadequacies noted were switches that are taped in place and poor standard of soldering and coolant line installation, The total cost of the repairs to correct the extant issues was 1401.24 which covers a replacement compressor, replacement dryer and the removal of the faulty line coolant and replacement of a new one in its place The proper technician from Associated Appliance fixed the refrigerator in 45 minutes after which time the freezer was at the normal operating temperature and the icemaker was functioning. He also had a good laugh over the Dremus instruction to not open the unit for three days. I will post a picture of the junk components that Stephen installed and the soldering that can only be described as Guano. read more

Do not be misled by the 1 Star review; this is a minus 10 Star review. This repair service came to fix a problem with our Whirlpool refrigerator ice maker. He first said the compressor was bad and had to be replaced; We told him that the refrigerator and freezer were working fine and the only problem was the ice maker. He proceeded to take the refrigerator apart and then put it back together again. He advised that fan for the ice maker was bad and would have to be replaced. After he had left, we noticed that the water dispenser was not working. We found the filter had not been installed correctly and when he replaced the top panel in the refrigerator, the filter was above the panel and could not be removed. After about 10 days and numerous attempted contacts with this company (phone and Email), he called and told us he was on his way to get the parts and would call us for a time/date to install the fan. It has been two weeks since that call and NO contact with this company. (We did receive an Email from the company: Invoice Due from DREMUS APPLIANCE REPAIR LLC - $356.00). read more
