I arrived just as they opened, so they were able to process my entire (small) bin in less than 10 minutes and made what I feel was fair offer for a resale store for the items they wanted. Because it was my first time selling, I asked them to tell me why they didn't take some things so I'd better understand next time. They were very helpful and gave me a style guide explaining exactly what they're looking for at this time. All of the employees were polite and helpful and it was a pleasant experience. The store is definitely geared towards junior/teen styles, and they have specific brands they want to buy. I didn't browse long (since my teenager wasn't with me and they finished my stuff so quickly), but that would be where they might could improve. The place is packed with stuff - like so much I couldn't really love clothes on the rack. They were also having a clearance sale and clearance items were in bins with no apparent size/style/gender divisions which, for me, is far too overwhelming to shop through. Everything was neatly folded, but I imagine it will be a huge mess once people actually start shopping in those bins.

I got sucked into one of the boutique's sales: "Buy one item at full price, get two more items free." Or something like that. I ended up purchasing an expensive Free People sweater (lavender rabbit fur with two white buttons to undo the neckline, along with lace over the shoulders, complemented by multi-colored stitching). For free, I chose a pair of hippie-flower gauchos (which are so out of style now and already were out the door at the time) and a very mod, block-color skirt. I still wear the sweater and skirt, so I'd say I fell for a pretty sweet deal. I must agree with Lauren S. that the clothing, overall, reminds me of sorority girls and their stay-at-home mothers. But, sprinkled among the Phi Mu mess are cool styles, reminiscent of Free People funk. I am most fond of the Bilthouse's pieces of decor--or at least when I shopped there last. I couldn't help myself and bought a folk art butterfly, with a chair leg body and rusted iron wings. This place is rather pricey but is worth a look if you're in the Buckhead area on a much-needed shopping binge.
