Luckily, I found McConahy Mechanical several years ago and they have been outstanding. Every time the home warranty company would say the units weren't repairable, I'd call McConahy and they'd come out within a day and fix the unit for a very reasonable charge. I eventually dropped our home warranty coverage, since it was clear their contractors either weren't competent or weren't honest, or some of both. We finally decided to replace both units this year. The only company I called was McConahy Mechanical, since I trust them implicitly based on all my prior interactions with them. The quotes they gave me were reasonable, Chris McConahy called me to cover the differences between the quotes and answer all my questions, and they scheduled the work within two weeks. The new units were installed over two days, and they are fantastic! As always, the crew from McConahy showed up exactly on time, they were friendly, polite, and professional, the work was done in the time frame they'd quoted, there were no "surprise charges", and they cleaned up meticulously when they were finished. Chris called me over the weekend just to make sure everything about the project had gone smoothly and to make sure we are pleased. Of all the many contractors we've dealt with over the past nearly forty years, I would put McConahy Mechanical at the very top of the list in terms of integrity and professionalism. They have always surpassed our expectations in terms of responsiveness, and every single one of their team members that we've met over the past several years has been a delight to work with. I would give this company fifty stars if I could, because it's so hard to find a company with this exceptional level of customer service these days. He was going at least 30+ mph, which is way too fast for a residential area. He nearly hit me, and instead of apologizing or showing any concern, he actually yelled at me afterward. To make things worse, he then parked his work truck in a clearly marked fire lane. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also dangerous. If this is how they operate on the job, I'd be very cautious about using their services.

Bryan (the owner) showed up right on time, was very respectful, and quickly diagnosed the issue as a clogged condensation pipe. It turned out to be a simple fix, and he handled it efficiently. What really stood out was his honesty and pricing. Instead of upselling anything unnecessary, he only charged for the diagnostic visit--which was already more affordable than other companies I've worked with. That level of transparency is rare. Roger is like a super hero in the AC business!…read more We had a new unit put in by a big name company and 14 months later the unit went out. When I called the original company to fix it (assuming there's was a warranty) I was told it would cost me $2500! I felt robbed and completely swindled. I had remembered my handy man said he knew an amazing AC guy so I called him and he gave me Rogers info! Roger is very busy and works extremely hard! He came out the day I called to assess the problem. He came back the next day to fix it! He did so for about $1000 less! That other company must charge so much to pay for their fancy blue, white and neon yellow vans! Sadly, I must have gotten a lemon of an AC unit (it's only 2 years old) from that first AC company because on Monday I came home from work and it was making a terrible noise. I called and left Roger a message. I know he's always super busy so I left a voicemail. When he called back he was able to come out that same day about 7pm! He found that the unit was wired incorrectly and the motor was out! He had to call Carrier to about something and said he'd be back today to fix it. He's here now and I can't begin to thank him enough. While he doesn't have a ton of yelp reviews and I don't even know if he looks at them (he's pretty old school), I felt compelled to share my experience.
