    Original Refrigerant line that was never changed out by your company when you installed a brand new unit in July 2023

    Editing to respond back to the owners lack of accountability response to my initial review which seems to be the norm for them: The big issue is that a brand new unit installed two years ago should NOT be having two compressor failures which has caused us to dump more money into the unit. Every second opinion we have received has stated that it's an original install issue. Even to the point where other installers have said "the lines used for refrigerant look old, probably from the original unit. These weren't changed out from the install". Aka, the refrigerant line that is still up there is from the original unit that was installed in the 90's. You couldn't even replace that? Even when we tried reaching out to the owner 2 months out of our "labor warranty" we didn't even get as such a phone call back from him. Also I want to state the fact that after doing our research we discovered it wasn't out of good faith with the price you provided us because 5 other companies offered the same work for the same price even though they didn't do the original install. You tried to sell it to us as just paying for the "refrigerant " which we know was incorrect as most tanks run roughly between $400-$600. That is a 90% upsell but you take pride in standing behind your work and doing right by your customers right? We understand it's a business and are not trying to take money out of anyone's pockets but the fact that nothing was done 2 months past the labor warranty is not good customer service especially since we were new business to you that spent almost $8k during the hottest recorded time frame in AZ history. Yes you did provide temporary cooling units, the first one didn't work so you came back out with a new one which we were so appreciative of however it didn't cool down the place at all, we never used that against your company but we ended up staying in a hotel for about a week. All we have wanted is to have a little accountability for this. Even though we were upset the first time we kept silent and moved on but now that's it happened twice, I'm sorry we cannot take this lying down. We live in a condo with no access to our AC unit. The only control we have is flipping the switch to turn it on so we know it's not a "user error" issue. And one last side note: we were also told that since the compressor was blown from the first time that meant we could NOT use our heater since it was hooked up to the same system. Come to find out that was incorrect and we are able to use the heating side. Another company explained that to us today too. This review was a long time coming. We used Reliance AC to replace our 20-year-old unit in July 2023, and it's been nothing but problems since. We thought we did our due diligence when we decided to use them after our AC broke during the hottest week of summer considering they were a reputable company. It took them 5 days to schedule the install during the hottest week of summer, and the temporary window units they provided didn't work forcing us into a hotel for a week. Just 14 months later, the compressor failed. Reliance tried to charge us $1,200 for the replacement, claiming to waive labor fees but inflating refrigerant costs. They showed no accountability for such a major failure in a new system, even from ownership not even a phone call. We went elsewhere for the repair. Now, August 2025, only 25 months since install, the compressor failed once AGAIN but only this time the compressor is no longer covered under warranty which is now forcing us to pay completely out of pocket for everything. After multiple consultations, every company concluded this was due to the initial install done by Reliance in 2023. Multiple major breakdowns in such a short time are unacceptable and the company's dismissive attitude even from ownership made things even worse. We regret ever giving this company our money and will never recommend or use them again. Bottom line: Reliance does not stand behind their work or their products. We will be filing a claim with the ROC. Save yourself the stress and money and take your business elsewhere.

    Had an excellent experience recently with Reliance. I don't normally give out 5 star reviews but in this case it's absolutely warranted and I'd use them again without question for any AC issue I have in the future. Scheduling was very easy. I got my arrival window advisory via txt the previous day, and then the next day a txt to let me know that the technician was on his way. That message showed me a photograph of the technician, Tristan, along with some brief details about him, when he started with the company, his hobbies, and a useful link to track his progress which brought up a map view showing his truck location. Definitely appreciated the abundance of info here; while all that really mattered to me was how long the serviceperson would take to get to my house, others may feel more comfortable knowing what their tech looks like. Always nice to have a personal touch, regardless. Tristan was very professionally presented, friendly and got straight to work on the roof, setting up a new PVC drain line from my AC unit, washing down the inside and outside with mild detergent and later even testing pressure and in/out temperatures to ensure that the unit was functioning to spec. He took photos roofside and showed me the cleaning process, before and after pics, and of course the new drain line. Everything was done in a very reasonable timeframe, at an extremely reasonable cost (FAR cheaper than their more famous competition had quoted.) The cost, quality of service, quality of technician and their en-route notification technology is beyond what I was expecting. Not hard to see why they've got such fantastic reviews on Yelp and Nextdoor. 1000% recommend this company.

We opted to wait til the next morning and Rene showed up at 6:30AM, replaced our AC unit's motor (quicker than expected), hosed down our unit, and offered great advice for maintenance and what to expect moving forward. Last time (a couple years ago), Flores also showed up quickly and repaired our unit, was so helpful and did a great job accommodating our budget as best as he could. Both experts felt safe and professional. With unbearable summer heat causing so many AC issues around the Valley, it can be hard to get someone to fix AC units to the house quickly, and they haven't disappointed yet. Each salesperson would beat the other contractors quotes. Danette is the one who informed me to always look at the model numbers they are quoting you with. If you don't go with Coolzone if there's anything you read about this is read the description of work but the model number and see what they are trying to give you. These companies are trying to sell you the cheaper brand Example a new build carrier ac. It's a carrier but a new build brand, basically cheaper but if you want a true Carrier brand go off the carrier website and make sure you tell them you want the model number off the website. Anyways with Danette's information and honestly showed integrity. If you're liking Danette quotes and information then Dakota will follow up to do a walk around to see if there's any final touches before installation who is very knowledgeable and professional. No matter how expensive you buy a brand Trane Carrier or whatever the single most important thing in your investment is the INSTALLATION. The morning of installation Josh, Tom , and Tylor showed up on time and very professional and will always stop what they're doing to answer your questions. These guys showed up Approximately 730ish in the morning and stayed all the way until 730 at night to make sure the installation was superb. They would have stayed longer if I or customer wouldn't be happy. I'm a customer who likes small business contractors cuz these bigger ones have to make there money back from tv ads and commercials. Coolzone will make their money by integrity and workmanship. Dave the owner super nice and will make sure the investment will be worth your while.
