I've had a very mixed experience there - I won't go back, and neither should you. The first round of treatment, in 2004, went without incident; pretty much your typical chiro experience, with a casual manner. But the second time I used him, I was sorry I'd recommended him to my fiance'. We'd been in a hit and run car accident, and my fiance's back and shoulder were wrenched. Our treatment went for about 12 weeks or so, which was fine. But then Dr. Ward never filed the paperwork with our lawyer or insurance company! He just disappeared, refusing to answer his phone or email, just POOF - missing! Our therapy was finished in about January of 2011, but we didn't realize Dr. Ward hadn't filed anything until April - then we went to his office in person to confront him. He kept lying to us, saying he'd sent it, or was sending it. Then he got angry, and gave us a bunch of stories about personal problems, and losing our paperwork. (????) About 2 MONTHS later, he said he found the paperwork, and was filing it. That was July, Now it's September, and we're up against the statute of limitations, and he STILL hasn't sent the paperwork!! NINE MONTHS of procrastination, lies, and who knows what else. He just skated on the whole thing - I have no idea even why. He still sees other patients - I know because I've shown up in his office to ask about our paperwork, and he was seeing new patients. Unless you want a big headache to go with the backache you're trying to fix - go somewhere else!

When I called CCLA, they were fortunately able to see me that day. I was pleasantly greeted by Jenny at the front desk. I had pre-filled out their patient intake form which I highly recommend you do prior to your first visit. It just makes things go much faster. With very little wait time, I was being seen by Dr. Botelho. She's a very kind mannered lady who ran me through the full diagnostics to determine the exactly source of all my pain. By the time my appointment ended, Dr B had pretty much identified the problem spot, adjusted my back, and gave me some decompressing traction and massage. I immediately had some relief, so I scheduled more appointments. Dr B even recommended getting massage or acupuncture in conjunction with her treatment. I opted for acupuncture since I also have a good acupuncturist. After about 4-5 sessions with Dr B and a few acupuncture sessions, I no longer have any pain in my back, shoulder or right arm. Recently, I had an especially painful flair up & felt extremely incapacitated. I could barely get my shoes on, it hurt to do almost everything. Someone recommended Dr. Jennifer Botelho. Let me tell you, I expected, maybe, some temporary relief--I got waaaay more than I hoped or bargained for! Dr. Botelho is gifted. With just a little probing & tweaking she immediately diagnosed my problem, and with some very thoughtful "adjustments" I left her office feeling significantly better. But here is the best part: in the hours (and days) that followed I realized my lower-back pain was rapidly diminishing. Literally improving by the hour, and overnight. In under a week I am 95% improved. I can't promise everyone will have the same "miraculous" (overnight) result, every spine is different, but Dr. Botelho is *extremely* knowledgeable & has a great bedside (chairside) manner. She is a first-rate practitioner & her office is lovely (simple clean office, very helpful front desk). While she doesn't take insurance, her rates are incredibly reasonable & her office will file your medical insurance claims for you for reimbursement. They handle all of that.
