It appeared to be attempted white paint over it The window in the bathroom we opened for air was filled with large piles of dead roasted looking bugs . I send over the pix - I was given a partial refund and told the building was aged and working on renovations - also told the housekeeping failed to clean the bathroom area. I was extremely disappointed- was told someone from management would call - they did not. Very disappointing- I saw the black baseboard when I came a month prior - made a comment about it- was assured it was being taken care of - bit white paint is not the way to cover up mold My event was amazing though- food was good and event room was clean! She was extremely rude and pushy and the person I am assuming is the owners husband was rude too! So let me just say this... 1. A tip is NOT mandatory. TIPS actually stands for- to insure proper service. If a person does not feel like leaving a tip there is probably a good reason. A worker is not entitled to anything besides their pay. Tips are additional benefits for good service. 2. You are in the service/hospitality industry! Treat your customers with a little more respect as they are the ones literally funding your life. 3. Give people more than 30 seconds to get undressed/redressed before knocking on the door a million times. It makes people anxious and feel like they are being rushed. 4. Get someone to work the front (who has the capability to communicate and understand English/other languages competently) and have that be their only job. A receptionist/host type deal. 5. If the concern is getting a tip add the price of it into the base price of the massage as a gratuity and disclose it to the customer. Overall it was a super disappointing and infuriating experience that left a sour taste in my mouth. I went in with severe neck spasms and very limited range of motion. Since I'm pregnant and unable to take prescription medications, I was really uncomfortable and hoping for some relief. David was absolutely amazing. He listened carefully to what was going on, worked thoughtfully and intentionally, and focused on the areas that needed the most attention. I woke up this morning completely pain-free with full range of motion -- something I honestly didn't think would happen that quickly. It made such a difference. He also took the time to show me a few stretches to help prevent the issue from coming back, which I really appreciated. The space itself was clean and smelled wonderful. It has an open concept with draped private sections rather than fully enclosed rooms. While it's not 100% soundproof, they play ocean sounds at a volume that makes it very difficult to hear anything else, and I still felt relaxed and comfortable. Full…read moredisclosure, I am a massage therapist and I am fairly picky about who works on me but I had been helping my son move for two days and just needed some deep tissue bodywork. They were able to accommodate me right away and the woman behind the desk was very friendly. They never took my name, never did any intake or had me fill out a form. The only reason they might now have my name is because I paid by credit card at the end. This is not how a professional place operates. No one ever told me my therapist's name so I don't know who worked on me. She worked within a routine and never really focused on anything for very long. I tried vocalizing mmmmm or saying "good" to let her know when something felt good but she didn't really stop and get into the tissue. The first part of the massage was compression through the sheet and when she finally applied oil it was too much to do connected deep tissue. I enjoyed the hot stones bc I never choose that option so it was a nice surprise. Some of her techniques felt good but it definitely wasn't the kind of bodywork I enjoy or needed.
