What was also nice was the prompt & professional service of having me in the room at 11:30am & not waiting. My masseur was Jimmy, he had a gentle yet effective technique. I didn't realize how tight & tense my shoulders were until he worked on my joints & muscles. Jimmy also listened when my right shoulder was more sensitive, he took a quick break from working on that side but then tried a different technique to get that knot out. And it is hard to talk with those covers they have on the pillow you rest your face on. The overall massage was okay. I didn't care for it .i think I would've had a better massage at Massage Envy. I asked for harder pressure, and when my masseuse applied deep tissue pressure, it was good! But it wasn't consistent pressure throughout, which was noticeable to me, and she did miss some spots too. The effort was there for sure, though. And she did a thorough job on my legs, particularly my hamstrings, calves, and shins (it's rare for these parts to get that much attention, so I appreciated this). Full…read moredisclosure, I am a massage therapist and I am fairly picky about who works on me but I had been helping my son move for two days and just needed some deep tissue bodywork. They were able to accommodate me right away and the woman behind the desk was very friendly. They never took my name, never did any intake or had me fill out a form. The only reason they might now have my name is because I paid by credit card at the end. This is not how a professional place operates. No one ever told me my therapist's name so I don't know who worked on me. She worked within a routine and never really focused on anything for very long. I tried vocalizing mmmmm or saying "good" to let her know when something felt good but she didn't really stop and get into the tissue. The first part of the massage was compression through the sheet and when she finally applied oil it was too much to do connected deep tissue. I enjoyed the hot stones bc I never choose that option so it was a nice surprise. Some of her techniques felt good but it definitely wasn't the kind of bodywork I enjoy or needed.
