I'd been struggling with shoulder pain for months, which I constantly thought was going to "get better any day now." It didn't. After one session with Ronny (though I was nervous for him to even massage near that area), my shoulder pain was gone and hasn't returned. It's as if I never had that shoulder pain for 6+ months! Really unprofessional experience. I have Ben a long time customer. Always left a nice tip usually very polite people. But not professional at all what they did here. I had missed 3 appointments due to either traffic , etc. out of maybe 20-40 visits throughout my time there. Long story short, without any communication they blocked me :) What they fail to understand is that I valued them as a business and referred many people to them. Having a serious medical issue I was a regular customer. Missing appointments is not good, but blocking your customer without any form of communication. Not professional or good. Spoke with the front desk , they were very passive aggressive and tried to reason their blocking me because I had missed three consecutive appointments. I had always tried my best to communicate when I could not make it, but if I failed I apologize. She explained that my calls were always 30 min before. Yes, if I cancelled due to not being able to make it in time while driving in from work, you can let me know that I need to pay full price. I must have called on the days where I had extreme discomfort and was running behind but couldn't think of going without a massage. Sometimes I didn't end up making it, my fault. Maybe my pain got in the way of reality thinking if I could actually make it, but it's not like me to take for granted the people that help me with my issues. The masseuses here are good, no doubt. I have actually paid for an appointment that I missed in the past out of my own good will. But I was never asked to compensate or even a phone call. Thank you for the passive aggressive front office communication. You may have good masseuses, but not professional business practices. Having a real medical issue, you left a good customer hurt. Simple communication and asking me to pay for missed appointments, which I have done out of my own good will would have felt better! Cannot support, will not recommend. Unfortunate, but there are other options. Many of the masseuses here will actually give their phone number because they are not paid well. Just talk to one. They will come to your house for a much better price.... The masseuses, due to the business structure, don't see much to take home for their hard work. Sad but true. Good luck to everyone! read more

S treated me to a massage at Relax Ave postpartum since my hands, arms, and upper back were so sore from carrying baby. I selected the thirty minute foot massage and thirty minute chair massage because I can't quite lay down on a massage bed due to breastfeeding pains. The place is super clean and relaxing. I started with the foot massage in the communal room. It was very zen and I had a woman massage my legs. She was amazing, she used her hands to relieve all the muscle tightness and soreness I had. The pressure and strength from her massage was perfect. When we moved to the chair, she was a godsend. I really appreciated her putting in a lot of effort in the massages. It made me feel so loose afterwards and pain free! I also like that I didn't have to take off my clothes and she used gloves to massage me. I was disappointed by my massage from a man, I didn't get a chance to get his name, but he only used his elbows the whole time and didn't get into areas he could have that were more tight. I had a message from Tony and he was amazing. I had sore shoulder and back pain as I went in; and Tony got it all for me. As I stepped in he was already ready and prepared for me. I had a 90min. deep tissue massage and it was very relaxing and comfortable. As Tony step in he ask and check if the room temperature was okay and he check if the pressure is right many times. Since COVID, I've noticed that massages at high-end spas aren't as great anymore. I end up paying a premium and leave feeling disappointed. At Relax Day Spa, the experience was different. My body felt fantastic afterward, and it was truly an excellent massage. The place is clean, and the therapists are licensed. I had a bad experience with a massage therapist in 2008, and I've been traumatized ever since. I've recently got back on the and boy have I been missing out. This is probably considered one of the top places to go to in the area, judging by word of mouth and by their Yelp reviews. I tend to agree. I went on $55 Traquil Tuesday special, and looking back now, it's a fantastic deal. You get 30 minutes of foot/leg massage and 30 swedish massage. The foot is in a common room and the swedish in a private room. The foot massage was excellent. They work their way up the calf area and it was so nice especially after some long sessions on the stairmaster at the gym. They dip you feet in some pretty hot water too. The only bummer (which is not so much their fault) is the old man that came in and talked loudly, saying "oh it's hurts all over", and then proceeds to remove his loud velcro shoes and starts moaning when the massage started. Then 10 minutes later he was out cold - evidenced by his snoring. When done, they wisk you to a private room and start the swedish massage after you get ready. Nancy gave me an excellent massage - hitting all the right places. My favorite is when they use their arms and push down with some of their weight. Ahhhh. Good job! I suggest the foot massage first as it's a nice lead up to the back. Plus, you'll be all oiled up and nekkid so it be weird to get changed up and not head home. My friend and I booked a combination massage - 30 min foot and 30 min full body massage ($75). This was so worth it. For the foot massage, we were brought into a dark room with multiple big arm chairs. The masseuse really worked out the tightness in my feet and legs. It was hard to fully relax to the point where I could fall asleep. The full body massage was equally great and worked out the knots in my upper back. The spa is clean and well maintained. My masseuse, Elaine, was wonderful and would recommend her and the messages at Relax Day spa. Don't forget to tip your masseuse well! read more

Tranquil Tuesday is such a great deal. I will say that the massage therapists use deep pressure but it's for the best, as your body won't improve without it. They do ask if you haven't any preferences to pressure and deepness, so be vocal about it. The tranquil tuesday deal consists of 30 minutes body massage and 30 minutes foot massage. I didn't have a preference for which service to begin with today when asked, so front desk said we'll start with foot then chair. Honestly, if you're going with the summer special as well, I would recommend the same! In my opinion, the foot mask would have more time to set/soak and going from the lounger to the chair was an easier transition. Today I was pleasantly surprised because after being seated, we began with a little scalp massage and it provided me with soooo much relief!! The table massages are a little different and your masseuse will adjust the pressure based on your comfort level The big plus with this location is the receptionist speaks English so you can ask questions, make an appointment and communicate if you're looking for a gentle or firm pressure, and request male/female masseuse. Safety protocols followed: staff wearing masks, sanitizer available, limited occupancy and sanitizing/cleaning chairs after each customer. Pricing is VERY reasonable and even cheaper if you purchase pre-paid sessions so please TIP generously and not based off the low price.
